...and they're BOTH wrong. Person 1: Moore IS part of the American Media. Person 2: we got plenty of leftist news sources here too.

This woman should be given a medal for enriching some incredibly lucky kid's life, not get thrown in jail.

Huh? I'm sure this is to keep Americans from being shanghaid from any Iraqi courts that happen to be corrupt, but still, it's not exactly a gesture of trust.

...could we get a cliff notes version of that?

I was just talking about how damned fast they did everything. Yeah, that did end up with a lot of missed shots and blown spots, but the speed itself was often breathtaking. It was like 1996 Ultimo Dragon vs. 1994 Chris Benoit in terms of how insanely quick they were moving. When they nailed their spots right, it was beautiful to watch.

My favorite part of this thread: Mike: "...and some other mod also anonymously edited one of her posts, too!" AoO: "Actually that was me, and I apologized to her for it." Mike: "I DON'T REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GOD-DAMNED THING!" If Marney really cared that much about all this, she's more than capable of fighting her own battles.

Yeah, I never did understand that either. Now, I did miss an episode or two, but as far as I could tell, Gunn just carelessly signed some papers that let Ilyria's tomb into the building. He had no idea what was going to happen, but got blamed for it anyway?

Devil's advocate: what if they were just taking tourist pics to send to their families back home?

Well, let's just agree to disagree then. I personally hate it when a guy suddenly slaps on a finishing hold with nothing leading up to it; you apparently feel differently, and it looks like neither of us is gonna change our mind anytime soon.

Funny thing: my post above made the Idiots thread at airraidcrash, with Chris Coey calling me "blind" for what I said. Now, let's compare my comment... ...with one Chris made about the same matches in said thread: A case of the blind leading the blind, I guess.

::Comes in and makes his quarterly appearance, just to give a ANGLE AWARD-WINNING DEVILBOMB~! to David Aksteroid's Big blah blah blah. And then turns him over and slaps on the Crossface Chickenwing, and stretches him for three hours straight. JUST BECAUSE HE CAN.::

For me, it was the Hansen/Kobashi match from Champions Carnival 94. I'd never seen wrestling like that: not a lot of cutesy spots and reversals, no masturbatory "look how cool we are!" highspots that barely make contact; in short, no bullshit. Just one long BEATING and oh my god it was great.

...how about get him into rehab?

Just because you've got cool pics of Igor "Ivan Drago" Voychanchin in your sig doesn't give you the right to stretch the screen out like that, and I'd say that most of the girls in these pics look better in their outfits than you would.

Yep, Slash is the artist formerly known as Wolfie D, plus a bigass scar and minus all his hair.

By coming in this thread like that, so are you.

Aren't you doing the same thing here you complained about Mike doing in the other thread? Oh, and thanks Mike, but apparently my computer didn't like it anyway, the file vanished as soon as it was done downloading.
-
But that's my entire point, Mike, we have no idea who actually made the mistake. We don't know who "THEY" are. I don't even know if they're liable for this under MO law or not. Which is a legitimate complaint... and also has nothing at all to do with what we're talking about.

I can't use BitTorrent on my Mac, unfortunately; otherwise, I'd have the entirety of Angel Season 5 downloaded already. I am curious to see the movie, just to see if it's worth the massive furor or not. (In my experience, it's usually not. Last Temptation of Christ? Showgirls? When you get right down to it, most "controversial" movies look pretty tame in hindsight.)

Of course I'd sue Walmart. I want money, just like anyone else. But in terms of blame? If the guy had lied about being a drunk, and nobody in Walmart knew differently, I couldn't blame them in my heart of hearts. They had no idea; it's not their fault.

Or I might just not want to get arrested for having an incredibly illegal weapon. (Or I could just get blown up.) ::looks at guy's picture:: Holy shit, is that Popick?!

Palahniuk has a track record of being one of the most graphically gory writers on the market today; Stephen King can't touch him when it comes to lovingly describing just how disgusting our innards are. Remember, there's a hell of a lot of stuff the movie version of Fight Club had to change from the book, just because they couldn't have possibly showed it and got away with it.

Sympathize? No. I don't even know who the hell ACT is or exactly what they do; I'm just saying that we have no idea whose fault it is. If it turns out that one individual employee just forgot to do background checks on a particular batch of applicants but claimed he'd done them anyway, how is ACT as an organization and its bosses responsible? It's that one guy's fault, not the company's. They would've been clueless in the matter. I'm not saying that is the case here; my real point is we don't know WHAT the case is. It might be like I outlined above, or it could be that the CEO of ACT had a secret plan to infiltrate the Democratic party with as many pedophiles as possible. I don't know. Nobody here does. That's my ultimate point: we really don't know what happened, so we really can't point fingers.
