Starting on Wednesday, I won't have internet access until December

I've seen people looking at porn on library computers, both college and public libraries. You'll be fine. -
I seriously doubt the WWE employs ANY union workers, period. Remember, Vince is Mr. Anti-Union. More reality TV? ARGH. Why the fuck does something like The View have writers, anyway? It's just a bunch of women sitting and talking. That's it. That's goddamned ironic, since this fucking neanderthal is responsible for some of the worst movies of the modern age. This one cocksucker produced Waterworld, Richie Rich, Behind Enemy Lines, Dudley Do-Right, Garfield, Alien vs. Predator, Fat Albert, Eragon, and that Jesse Ventura tv movie. Tha fuck would he know about good results.

Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta

Work. Christy is freakishly flexible, like Jack Evans level of stretchy. -
He jobbed clean to Jay Lethal, and that's way more than most of the other old stars have been doing recently. (Team 3D, looking at you!) And hell, Angle really shouldn't be putting over rookies anyway. Even though he's broken down and completely insane, he's still by far the single biggest star TNA has right now. He's got more name recognition and is more over with the casual fans than damn near everyone else on the roster combined, so they should be keeping him in the main event. Putting all the belts on him at once was dumb, but oh well, Russo...

Examples of a Wrestler TRULY Being Put Over

So you start a fight, and then suddenly realize, "oh shit, I'm gonna get my ass kicked" and are all like "dude, it's not worth fighting over this"? Also, are your shift, caps lock, and every one of the punctuation keys on your computer all broken? -
Well damn. You just blew right past every single one of my piddling wrestling accomplishments with "and oh yeah I refereed a Great Muta match". Congrats and bravo.

Lex Luger suffers stroke at WrestleFanFest

Wow, Bruiser Brody hits people so hard that it warps time and kills them decades later. -
Yeah Franchise, that's like double or more than what you'd make for the same job in the States. Maybe the UK's cost of living is higher? The American minimum wage works out to about £3.18.

oh god. What? He's right. Both of the Big 2 stole tons of workers and ideas from ECW. Sure, the nWo started out pretty damn cool in the first few months, but after that initial explosion, there wasn't a lot left. The angle turned repetitive quickly, and became a bad soap opera with weekly nonsensical swerves. Every week, the nWo's matches were mostly horribly shitty affairs with old guys who were just collecting a paycheck and didn't give a fuck. WCW couldn't even bother to provide a finish most of the time, it was just endless run-ins. Oh, and let's not forget Hogan providing the original inspiration for HHH's weekly "I'm so great" promos which invariably ran on for twenty minutes. The original angle was so strong that people kept on watching out of habit long after it had become damn near unwatchable, plus Sting and Goldberg helped delay the inevitable slide somewhat, but really except for the few early highlights the entire nWo storyline was overhyped garbage. As for the Shawn Michaels thing, it's kind of amusing, but really it's just the same old Shawn klique "I'm a rebel, I don't have to follow the rules" bullshit that he's been doing for the past dozen years. I don't know if he just gives the world's greatest blowjob or what, but somehow Shawn is the only one who's repeatedly gotten away with blatantly defying Vince's will.

I'm not terribly up to date on my NJPW undercard. Are either Yano or Devitt noteworthy for any reason?

I rely on my cell phone instead of a house phone, so I thankfully avoid most telemarketers. Back when I did get them, I basically just went straight into "what're you wearing, oh my giant black cock is SO hard right now" phone sex patter, which usually did the trick. I once spent an evening doing cold calls for a college survey, and it was one of the most thoroughly uncomfortable experiences in my life. Out of four hours of continuous calling, I got exactly one person who felt like taking a survey. In theory, we had a quota of eight, but seriously, who the fuck likes talking to some random stranger calling their house? It was a requirement for class too, so I HAD to do it, and it sucked. I can't imagine why anyone would willingly take such a horrible job. I figure they must be either an unfeeling sociopath, or their life sucks so bad already that being a telemarketer doesn't make things worse, so either way I don't feel bad fucking with them.

Don't be afraid, come to the dark side, bwa ha haaa. But seriously, aside from the current events folder, it's pretty much the same as any other message board.

Wrestling Moves you busted out In Real Fights
Jingus replied to I like Forums's topic in General Wrestling
Sure you can, as long as you're strong enough and the other guy's small enough. Plus it's not all one-armed, to do it right you have to use both hands, the other one grabs the guy's hip or back and helps push him up. -
Everyone keeps harping on how they supposedly thought they were gonna be on different brands. However, in a recent interview I read with them (can't find the link right now, but it's out there somewhere) they never even mentioned that as a reason for quitting. They basically said once they got called up they realized firsthand just how crazy the travel schedule was, and for that and some other unnamed reasons they decided they wanted no part of it.

Women's rights articles would be dumb, considering that legally women have the exact same rights as men now. If she writes feminist articles, that's different.

They don't get 10 million people watching their free television shows. There's no way they'd get anywhere near that many paid subscribers for a channel aimed at such a niche subculture as wrestling.

Examples of a Wrestler TRULY Being Put Over

How did it make him a star, exactly? How was it different from any other feuds where Taker was all like "Okay, we'll have a match and I'll beat you, and then we'll have some rematches and I'll beat you, this will lead to a match on the PPV where I'll beat you, and it'll eventually build up to a big gimmick blowoff match where I'll win the feud." Everyone from Test to Heidenreich got the same treatment from Taker, who hasn't put over any new young talent since 1986. -
Apparently the five or so real hardcore conservatives can form together into Voltron and run off legions of liberals with such blazing-sword tactics like calling them names.

Isn't it a bit of a stretch to call a bunch of indy nobodies "superstars"? I've only heard of six people on that list, and it's partly because I've either met or worked with four of 'em.

So Taz stole his gimmick from the Partridge Family, ah, it all makes sense now. -
Jerry Jarrett actually wrote a diary-type book detailing the entire first year of putting TNA together. However, it was published and sold in a pretty homemade fashion, so copies are rare. The only other TNA "talent" I can think of with a book out there is Russo.

I'm happy for ODB. Three years ago we did an angle in an indy fed where she "won" a date with me, we did some vignettes, I tagged with her in a match and somehow I ended up feuding with Traci Brooks out of it. But anyway, I'm glad ODB finally got national exposure, she's a damn hard worker and has improved about a thousand percent on her promos (she used to be... not so good). The gauntlet match was probably the best women's match on TV since Trish retired (barring some sort of Mickie James/Victoria type classic I might've forgotten). The visual of Christy Hemme being folded in half by Amazing Kong is sure as hell something I ain't forgetting soon. I'm kinda surprised that TNA managed to put together such a strong female division, with different types of talent. Compare this to the WWE women's roster, which is all lookalike barbie doll Divasearch chicks who all wrestle like they're straight outta WOW. However, is anyone else not feeling the "Knockouts" brand name? -
Go look up the match results yourself. Between his WWF title loss to Sid at Survivor Series 96 and his semi-retirement match with Austin at Wrestlemania 14, Shawn DIDN'T job to anyone. For seventeen months he didn't get pinned one single time, no matter whether he was babyface or heel, champ or not. (And no, HHH's Euro title "win" doesn't count.) Meanwhile, Bret was jobbing to guys like The Patriot.

Brock was a unique case, because of the insane push they gave him right from the very beginning and sustained until his sudden departure. The company really did have a lot invested in him, due to all the other wrestlers they'd thrown under the bus by letting Brock destroy them in order to get him over. On the other hand, I can't blame Vaine and O'Reilly at all. The WWE didn't train these people, they'd been trained and wrestling for years before they got picked up. And "get them ready for tv"? Ever talked to anyone who did time in OVW or another developmental? It's widely said to be one of the more ridiculously ineffective training systems out there, where the students are drilled to death and taught outdated and often contradictory philosophies on wrestling. 99% of their students go on to draw no money whatsoever. I used to get the Deep South tv show every week, and it was just painful to watch, the matches were all boring as hell, it felt like a small territory from the 80s, and not a good one either. Or for another example, compare the best show OVW ever ran to any ROH show. WWE developmental sucks.
