Of course civil war sucks. But I can't believe any of you would seriously say that Iraq was better under Saddam. That's like saying East Germany was better off back when Adolph was in charge.

1. Like a couple people have said but most have ignored, the entire bit about the finish isn't the only problem here. Crymetime publicly threatening to shoot on C&M was unprofessional at any time, and stupid as hell at this particular time. 2. Why does everyone assume that C&M did the rib without office approval? I seriously doubt that a referee would just be like "OK LOL" if randomly asked to change a planned finish without at least asking the agents first. 3. The specific move done to the referee doesn't matter. It's irrelevant whether it was a hiptoss or a Ganso Bomb. The important thing to remember is that the WWE is such a scripted company that generally frowns on improvisation unless the talent is expressly given permission to do so ahead of time. Between the dumbass "whatever happens out there" comment and the unplanned ref bump, Crymetime demonstrated twice in one night that they are more than willing to break script and go into business for themselves.

(Although it doesn't explain how he took all the damage in parts 2 and 3 and yet still kept kicking ass in 4, when he was still supposed to be alive.)

Oh, it's definitely better than 3, 5, 6, and 8. But I just thought it was a pretty massive drop in quality from the first one, Michael just seemed like another invincible slow-walking killer in a mask and not like The Shape. Didn't scare me at all, and I found the hospital setting to be kinda goofy, what with the administration's apparent budget cutbacks meaning that they only had working light bulbs in less than half the sockets. And I've never had anyone give me a good explanation of exactly how Loomis and Michael survived through the end. Plus, it all happened the same night as the first movie, so Michael apparently had magic regenerative powers to recover from the multiple stab and gunshot wounds from an hour or two prior.

If only there was a place where they all still posted OMGWH00RINGLOL. (Well, Crono never showed up and WP has been oddly missing since Benoitgeddon, but still, we've got about half of the people who ever got banned for annoying the shit out of you here.) I do sometimes wonder about Leena's seemingly pathological need to keep coming back here. Like, she was even one of the very rare exceptions who got officially let back in post-banning, even if she couldn't help Lucy-ing poor Charlie Brown's football once again.

Fewer Iraqis die by violence every year now than they did during Saddam's reign. A LOT fewer compared to the days of the Iran-Iraq war and when Saddam was merrily genociding entire villages. I'd say that's an improvement. Even if the Iraqi citizenry turned out to be a mightly contrary and violent bunch. After all, it ain't the American soldiers who are out there planting bombs every day that intentionally target civilians.

Because I thought it was fucking terrible. A generic Hollywooded-up version of what felt so creepily different in the original. Also, faithful? It retained "Leatherface, cannibal family, teenagers dying, Texas" and then pretty much made it up as it went along, especially that godawful ending. For that matter, what's with the love for Halloween 2? I thought it completely lacked everything that made the first movie so great, and was basically a Friday the 13th flick with a different mask. Especially the ridiculous finale, where they went so over the top in Wile Coyote-ing Michael to death that I never once bought that he could've lived through it.

Legacy? One movie that got good reviews and made a pile of money, and then slowly got worse over the rest of his career. NO artist EVER "owes" the fans anything. That's an awesomely self-centered, Comic Book Guy way to look at professionals who devote their entire careers to trying to entertain people. Whoa now, let's not go overboard. I have a hard time imagining anything that betrayed the whole feeling of the original more than the TCM remake. Besides, I doubt this is even the worst raping of a Carpenter film. Didya see the new Fog? DH, dude, why did you even go? Seriously? You already despised Zombie, think he's total shit as both a writer and director. And then you saw the work print and hated it. Why spend time and money to intentionally not be entertained?

Not quite that simple. First of all, when a wrestler is off TV, usually his merchandise sales drop like a rock, and those are a big part of their paychecks. Also, many workers are just plain fame junkies who can't stand not being in the spotlight. Those types would rather work for free than stay home. I've heard this argument before, "Orton isn't that bad because all wrestlers are shady and we don't know what they've done". Um, no. Orton's behavior is so immature and frequently out of control that we HAVE heard about it, many times. That's kind of the point. Rather like Katt Williams espousing on why he thinks Michael Jackson is guilty: "Don't nobody say the same shit about you for twenty years!"

Even the announcers pointed that one out. I've never understood why they did that at all. The match sucked, Austin was clearly hurt and could barely lift the arm he had bandaged, the Cell coming back down was stupid, Mankind shouldn't have even been WALKING much less doing a run-in, and then it's all undone the next night when Stone Cold just casually wins the title back. Kane got maybe the single worst joke title reign ever, he didn't pin his opponent, hell he didn't even touch him for the finish, and then loses it less than 24 hours later.

According to some Sports Illustrated reporter on MSNBC, Angle was named as a steroid customer of the same pharmacy that the WWE guys are in trouble over. Now let's see if TNA bothers to do anything at all.

Whatever, mark. They wanted to provide some "dramatic tension" in Tough Enough, just like all reality shows, so they went with the "Bob Holly iz a bullly" and worked you good. I have. Lots of 'em. With various different teachers. Trust me, what Bob did isn't unusual.
