I hope the ALCS has game times like thre ALDS does, especially if the Sox and Yanks advance. Staying up until 2 AM for a yanks/sox playoffs game is the most stressful thing in the world.

This is starting to remind me of the 2004 ALCS extra innings of game 4 and 5 where it seemed no matter who was pitching and no matter how many pitches they'd thrown and no matter how many guys were on base, the hitters were not going to get any hits.

While the playoff spots are basically wrapped up in the east, the matchups most likely won't be decided until the last day of the season. I'm (hopefully I don't regret this) actually hoping for a matchup with the Angels this year. Their bullpen isn't as strong this year, and all Yankee games in which they lead after 6th are most likely wins, with Joba for 2 and Mo for one. I also want to end this "Angels own the Yanks" thing.

Just a hunch, but if the Yanks win tomorrow I think they win the division. That puts them 1 game back with 6 to go, with easier opponents the last six games. All the Yanks neeed to due is tie, as they have the tiebreaker. If they lose tomorrow, 2 back with 6 games left, not as easy.
