Beside El Duque, he was basically our ace the 2nd half of the season. Coming of surgery, he kept geting better and better and better as the season went on, and lead the Yankees with 14 wins. He pitched great aginst the Twins, out dueled Pedro in game 2, and pitched very well against Schilling in game 6. Most immportantly, he OWNED the Sox during the season, also going 8 and 2/3rds against them in September.
I don't care hes 34, I'd take 2 more years of him than shaking my head in disbelief with Jarret Wrights bad control, and hopeing he doesn't get injured every second.
