I guess it's a testament to how well our province is doing, when four billion dollars is no big deal. I'll hate to be here when the oil runs out, though.

Accuse the right person of being an Albertan, baka. And I've stated before the reason why I vote Liberial fed and PC pro is because no one actually gets off of its ass to show me why I should do differently. Its basically "wah... They did something wrong! So I deserve their votes!" That's not a platform or stance but a damn child trying to get its way. I completely agree with that... I just don't see why the Alberta Tories' fumbles and bumbles with forty times as much money as the Liberals wasted isn't more of an issue. Besides, being Albertan isn't so bad. There's always the Flames to keep us satisfied.

Hnat Domenichelli. For being named Hnat Domenichelli.

Highland, I'm gonna guess you're from Alberta. Why is this even an issue when the Alberta PCs managed to lose $4 billion in taxpayer money that was supposed to go to impoverished farmers? Oh, that's right. They aren't Liberals, so they're golden. Thanks, unbiased Albertan media.

He's easily the most charismatic, and I'd say the most trustworthy. Harper's a robot, has no business whatsoever running the country. Nope. They're going on the same platform last time. And it didn't work. We'll see another liberal minority. AND! There's no need for an election. It seems to me we, oh, JUST HAD ONE 11 MONTHS AGO! Martin's had no time to run the country. Let's see how he runs the show before we call for his head. If he drops the ball, then have an election. We spent a couple hunderd million last June 28, don't need to again now. 40-60 in 1980 with the most charismatic leader in Canadian history(behind Trudeau) at the helm of the Oui vote. 49.4 to 50.6 in 1995. God help us, Quebecers loved Bouchard. No one likes Landry. They're not going anywhere. I meant that the actual, non-tampered-with numbers were about 56-44 for the No side in 1995.

Despite the fact that the Liberals have stolen millions of dollars of our money. If you want the country to split up, then vote the Liberals back in. Kahran, Any interest in British Columbia and Alberta either going it alone or trying to become the 51st and 52nd states? I know Quebec would probably secede and then go it alone, as they were 49% in favor of it ten years ago without massive fraud being perpetrated by Ottowa on the province. Wrong. It was more like 56-44 in favour of the No side. The PQ disqualified thousands of No votes for marginal reasons: for example, if the mark you made in the box surpassed the line in the slightest, it wasn't counted. However, people voting Yes could've wiped their ass with the ballot, and it would've counted. It was a sham Referendum, and the dirty separatists nearly pulled it off.

It's not the lack of talent that bugs me with Justin Timberlake: it's obvious to me that he isn't just getting by on his looks out there. He's a very talented individual. The problem that I, as well as many others, have with the guy is his overexposure. We don't want to know everything about Timberlake's personal life, and have thus gotten sick of him.

I fail to see what the Flames have to do with it. The NHL shouldn't even think about Bertuzzi until there's a new CBA. That's the number one priority right now: if there's no agreement, Bertuzzi should be S.O.L. His actions merit that much.

I wanted to see a Weir win, but it doesn't look like it'll happen. He's playing well, though. Perhaps this is Woods' slump-breaker.

The Jays lead Boston 3-1 in the 7th. They may be a surprise team this year, if they can play the way they have in the first week consistently over the course of this season.

There is only one choice: We Built This City - Starship Watch it once, and you'll know what I mean. It's a pretty good song, but that video... ugh.
-
I'm gonna pick Ernie Els, but really, the field is so good now that it's too close to call. I'd like to see Mike Weir or Stephen Ames get it, though.
-
I've heard that before too, but....what the fuck IS he saying then? Revved up like a deuce.

Personally, I loved it. I was laughing throughout the whole thing. Vaughn and Rock were awesome.

Dogbert Just sayin' So I'm biased. Oh well. I do count 1989 as "pre-strike".
-
The '80s had too much scoring and not enough defense, plus the added bonus of having the Soilers winning the Cup every year. The best time for hockey was the pre-strike era, where there was a good balance of both, not to mention shitty Edmonton teams.

They're going to finish last, and I hope they do.

I wouldn't be too quick to dump on Hassan. He's wrestled pretty well so far, and one bad night doesn't ruin all of that.

Well, we're just as Western a culture as you guys are. If the Islamic fundies really have a problem with Western civilization, then we're just as vulnerable as you are.

At the end of Styx's "Mr. Roboto", why is the singer's identification of himself as "Kilroy" so shocking? The closest thing I can imagine to it is that "Kilroy" is somehow a reference to the American military. The saying "Kilroy was here" was written by graffiti artists in places where the Army travelled during World War II: however, I fail to see how the song and the military would be linked. Anyone that can help?

Why not the NHL of 2004-05? Certainly the first cancellation of a season due to a labour dispute is very disgraceful.
-
You know what? Screw these guys. Thanks to pure, unadulterated greed, the National Hockey League is dead. Not in trouble, not on life support, not in need of a miracle. Dead. Dead dead dead. Defunct, deceased, no longer in existence, has passed on, croaked, kicked the bucket, bit the bullet, breathed its last. The NHL will never play another game again. Oh sure, it will come back with replacement players, but nobody will care, so why bother? Fold it now, Bettman. Don't give us fans any reason to hope anymore. Just shoot, shovel, and shut up so we can all find something else to do.
-
Stick a fork in it, men.
-
Hmm. I'd rather they get a deal done for next year, rather than pick up the scraps of this one and haphazardly glue them together.
-
They won't have to, because the NHL is gonna shut down before they play another game.
