    Oh, Canada

110 Liberal, 105 Conservative, 35 NDP, 60 Bloc. Give or take, I think it'll be this close.

Defence is much better now; there are a lot less miscues, leading to a lot fewer odd-man rushes. This season's much more wide open than it's been in a long time, though.

Jesus, I wish. Fantastic game in Calgary tonight, as the Oilers pull off a 2-1 shootout win. Edmonton dominated the first period, but Calgary came back strong in the second and third. Overtime was a heart attack waiting to happen, and the shootout was scoreless until Fernando Pisani won it in extra shooters. By the way, guess whose fault the Edmonton goal was? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whom? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm guessing Andrew Ference. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bingo. Perfect tape-to-tape pass to Jarret Stoll in the Flames' zone.

Yeah, that was a new experience for me. I was at the NYI game, and when they went up 5-0, the crowd started chanting "pizza." Needless to say, I was confused as hell. The Flames win another close one, 3-2 over the Sharks. It seemed to be a hard-hitting game, as the teams combined for 59 hits.

    Smackdown Spoilers from England...

Hmm... Benoit/Booker could be good. They need to play up the 1998 series, though. Let Booker get under Benoit's skin by reminding him of the loss seven years back.

Marlins officially declare they are seeking...

I hate to say I told you so. Wait... no, I don't. I hope that MLB figures out that Jeffrey Loria is the Ted McGinley of baseball owners. The guy is a snake, and he's now ruined two teams.

Horrible to hear about Fischer. Hopefully, he'll make a speedy recovery. Elsewhere, the Flames blew a 2-0 lead before taking Colorado 3-2 in a shootout. Good game by Phil Sauvé, as he made 33 saves and stopped Sakic, Hejduk and Tanguay in the shootout.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Rihanna is a conundrum for me. Her music blows with gusto, but she's friggin' hot. I dunno what it is about her, either... just is.

Robyn Regehr. Anyways, another great game from Calgary tonight, as they take the Red Wings 3-1.

Australia Is Going To Germany 2006

You know, I was waiting for someone to post a "Well, it's not like they have much else to eat over there"-type joke. Then I figured, why not take the initiative? Good job, Aussies.

What a third period by Calgary tonight. 25 shots on Dwayne Roloson, who did very well to hold the Flames to three goals in that period. I do believe that Jarome Iginla is back.

HFBoards is pretty good. It has some downtime when all the games are on, but it's usually alright.

The Flames with their best effort yet, a 4-3 road win over Phoenix. The game was nowhere near as close as the score indicates. Cujo did very well, posting 39 saves; a lot of them were quality chances, and the Flames could've potted 7 or 8 easily if it weren't for him. At the other end, Phil Sauvé was okay, as two of the Coyotes' goals were total flukes. Kiprusoff would have probably allowed one of the three goals. All in all, a wonderful effort tonight, and let's hope that the Flames can keep it going on Saturday.

Bad news for Canadian Raw viewers..

Good. I was worried that we wouldn't get MNF anymore at all up here after they announced that ESPN would be airing it.

The Flames take their fourth straight, 4-3 over Vancouver. It was the first time that the Flames broke 3 goals this season. I like it.

TO: Eagles would be 7-0 with Favre as QB

The important thing is for the Eagles not to let up. Tell T.O. that his services will not be needed for the rest of this season, then get rid of him in the off-season for next to nothing. Addition by subtraction.

Can't we just get to some of that untimely destruction? That's all anyone's watching this for. I've only been watching since 10:00... has Gina Gershon had sex with anyone yet? If not, that might be some kind of record for her characters.
