I agree with you 100% An 18 year old kid is more apt to making an irrational drunk decision than a 25 year old man is, period.

I think what he's saying is, take out all of the consequences that can be involved with heavy drinking...just look at JUST the drinking. Is it wrong for an 18 year old to get smashed at all? Like, an 18 year old sitting at home, downs a case of beer and then doesn't do anything else but stay home and pass out. Is that wrong? Should it be illegal? Maybe that's what Eric was asking me? I don't think that's a fair arguement to make because for every one kid that doesn't do anything after getting drunk, there are 5 out there causing auto accidents, date raping, getting physically violent with someone, dying from alcohol poisoning, etc. Or at least they're in situations where the potential exists, whether it actually happens or not. Granted there are PLENTY of 21+ people doing all of that, I'm pretty sure you could pinpoint it happening more frequently with those in the 18 to 20 range.

Would you, as a parent, be angry if your son/daughter at age 19 was drunk at a college keg party? Yes...when you become a parent, you become a very hypocritical person because lord knows I did my share of underage drinking...it's hard to explain, but you just get that feeling that kicks in that says you don't want your child doing the same stupid shit you did. Is there anything I can do about it if my kids did that? Of course not, but you can bet they're going to catch hell from me, whether they want to hear it or not.

Well, the Apprentice is Vader's secret (due to the Sith Rule of Two) so Vader tells him to fuck up everything (including Imperial) that might see him on his missions to keep the news of another Sith from the Emperor. And these missions are really about Vader corrupting the Apprentice and turning him in to a full fledged Sith more than anything I would guess. Yeah, Vader never really got into the whole Force powers thing, did he? A little Force choke and some saber fighting against old Ben was about it. I've read one possibility that Vader lost some of his Force ability when he became mostly machine (since it's supposed to be something that binds all LIVING things together) and I guess that makes some sense, but I suppose it really boils down to Lucas not having the special effects available at the time to really show him at his best. That makes sense on the apprentice thing, CV...I guess I can see that. Maybe he viewed this apprentice in the same light he would eventually view Luke? I did read in one of the books about the idea that turning more machine than man may have stripped some Vader's powers, just can't remember which book...the Thrawn Trilogy, perhaps?

Why is your guy killing Stormtroopers in that picture? Why do these Dark Jedi always seem to have more powers than Darth Vader? I haven't read much pre-New Hope EU...is Vader capable of using Force Lighting? I have to admit, this kinda cheapens the Vader mystique for me...I always imagined him personally going around and fucking all these Jedi up, not having some alleged apprentice doing all the dirty work for him...Episode 3 didn't help that idea either.

As a parent, yes, I'll devote all the time in the world to make sure my kids don't turn in to alcoholics.

I do like Statham, but I hate most of his movies...isn't that weird? I just don't think he has it to be "The Guy", at least not here in the states. Ironically, my favorite role of his is in the non-action movie "London", as Chris Evan's drug supplier and party wingman for the evening.

Angel Dust should absolutely be on that list. Listened to Ice Cube's newest album "Raw Footage" yesterday...holy shit is that a great album! Just when you think a guy has gone all family friendly on you, he comes out with an album that reminds you of the good ol Ice cube days.
