The best thing about that series is if you hate a character, they are going to die. Maybe not in the one you are watching, but in the sequel you know they are going down. Which is great, because it has yet to have a likable character. honestly, I've only seen the first one and I hated all of them...every single character and a quality that warranted a grizzly murder.

Final Destination will never get bad marks from me simply due to the blonde chick smacked by the bus scene.

you know, lemme back up again...i don't HATE the art itself, it's visually stunning stuff, I just hate the insane and inane stories, the horrible dialogue (read: american voice acting), the constant flashing of the peace sign, winking and sticking tongue out simultaneously, shit eating toothy grins, the constant having to show EVERYONE'S reaction to an event be it each individual grunt, individual comment whatever among other nuances. that being said, I only own 3 anime movies: Fist Of The North Star, Ninja Scroll and Golgo 13...no goofiness going on in those, just a bunch of fuckers getting killed...gets right to the point. as praised as Akira is, I hate it. (yes, I have seen a ton of anime, those are just some of the more popular ones)

re: Leena it can go 50/50 on her...as mentioned before: either she really is a chick or she's a dude that really REALLY needs a life has had needed one for at least 3 years now. I'm going to go ahead and weigh in on the side of her being female because she displays tendancies (through posts) that any married guy or a guy with a live in girlfriend should be able to point out and say "yep, that's a chick" on the other hand, if it's a guy, he could be so well schooled on the quirks of being a woman that he's just that damn good enough to mimmick the mannerrisms (which I highly doubt)...and no, being gay is not the answer because even gay men can't properly duplicate a woman's quirks.
