the Knicks suck now, of course, but during the 90s when Riley was running them, EVERYBODY hated them...they hated their slow defensive play, their "dirty" tactics, Ewing in general...they were the major heels for the Bulls for most of that decade... Castlevania 3's hardest level, IMO is when you have to scale the side of the castle on those blocks that fall in a pattern...after you finally get to the top, you have to traverse tons of stairs the whole time being attacked by those fucking birds we all love that fly at angles that make them hard to hit, since you can't jump and all while on the stairs...then when you reach the top, you have to fight 3 bosses (twin mummies, the charging cyclops with the big hammer and one other)...of course, there's no health pickup at all on the way up there...this is after you get Alucard, Andrew, if you haven't gotten there yet, closer to the end...

I followed X-Men through AoA to about two years afterwards then I, too, stopped collecting comics altogether...

see, that's just it, Gambit was already over, but Marvel pulled a WWE and decided to add something stupid and unnecessary to improve on the overness and it ended up sucking and making HIM suck...to me, the coolest aspect to Gambit was his relationship with Rogue and teasing us with whether or not he really could touch her or not...I don't know what's going on with that since I haven't read the comic since like 97...can he touch her now? can anyone touch her now?

I felt Marvel had a lot of cheap writer's cop outs for Gambit. They just really never put too much effort into writing his character that they could have. The massacre was weak and just another Gambit storyline disappointment for me. Course I've never given two shits about the Morlocks anyway. Really, did anyone give a fuck about the Morlocks? no not at all, I hated them in the comics, I hated whenever they showed up in the cartoon, i hated that it consumed a huge chunk of X-Men Legends...

off topic but X-Men related: did anyone else feel let down or maybe felt it was a cheap writer's cop out to finally reveal that Gambit's big secret was that he aided in the Morlock Massacre? That he led the killers down there...I dunno, I thought they could have come up with something better for one of the more popular and intriguing X-Men...
