yeah but unlimited power was also a determining factor as well...look at his anger with Obi-Wan for not pushing him to his potential in ATOC...look at his anger with the council for not giving him his due and making him a master...granted his love for Padme was the primary driving force, but that boy wanted to be powerful enough to do anything...Palpatine granted that whereas the Jedi would not... -

Ironic thing, and probably not surprising.. the mother of the teenagers is still claiming child benefits for them. my brother knocked up his 18 year old gf when she was 17, still 17 when she gave birth...her sister is 15 and also had a baby around the same time...their mother had the older daughter at 17...she collects welfare on her kids as well as her grandkids...

Neat. What else did they add in the new DVD set? Well, Jabba doesn't look like shit anymore and looks more like himself from Episode IV. Although I still wonder how his ass got around with no legs. They also replaced the original Emperor (a lady with a super imposed Chimp eye voice by Clive Revill) with Ian McDiarmid (the Emperor from I, II, III, and VI). That's incorrect. McDiarmid played Palpatine in 1983's Return of the Jedi as well, then came back to reprise that role in Phantom Menace. His filmography certainly states so. that's what he said... -
what are you trying to say?

I never understood the hate the Matrix got, I thought they were pretty damn good movies, not hard to understand, and Agent Smith is one of the coolest heels in cinema... -
I agree with Rip, we actually have some good conversation going on over there...

no, as I said before, he went from cool ass heel in the original trilogy (Rock) to heel that I really hate, but the good kinda hate (HHH in 2000/2001)...sympathy, no, because he was played like a sucka from the get go and should have had more sense to just jump into the whole Sith thing head first...I do however, find his character to be very tragic, and this movie did a good job of showing that... -
Christ, as if MI:2 didn't already doom MI:3 to failure, now Lohan is going to possibly be in it?

eh, it started out as a clique thing (guys like Jingus, Slapnuts, FM, MikeSC), but the non-bitching folders aren't too shabby as compared to this place...

it's not just ticket prices though...I went to see Hitch with my wife (I don't go to the theater often) and it cost us (including a large popcorn and two medium drinks) almost 30 dollars...now imagine if we went to a kid movie with my daughter, there's at least another 10 bucks right there...anymore, why bother going, it's going to be out on DVD in 6 months anyway...

and there ain't shit on! I mean there's some decent stuff from the late 70s and early 80s here and there, so it's okay for nostalgia, but there just isn't really much on it at this point...or course, it's only 6 bucks so I guess you get what you pay for!

I've just always found the Battle Of Endor to be incredibly boring and it's not entirely the Ewoks fault, but the Emperor/Vader/Luke confrontation more than makes up for it...oh and I tend to choke up from time to time during Vader's death scene... -
happy birthday, brah...

great flick...moved a little too fast, but that's alright because there were parts in APM and AOTC that draaaaag. Example: the scene when Anakin finally becomes Darth Vader, to me it just kinda seemed like: "join the darkside Anakin" "mmm okay" and that was that... The Order 66/Jedi Temple sequence was fantastic, probably one of the best I have seen in any movie... George Lucas did a good job of showing us how tragic the character of Anakin Skywalker really is, in this film moreso than in ROTJ...a man who would do anything for his wife, sacrificing all he valued only to end up losing her anyway because of those sacrifices... One thing Hayden really did well: with Vader in the original trilogy you liked him because he was a bad ass mofo, but in this flick, you hated him because he was the ultimate heel. I don't mean X-Pac heat, I'm talking Triple H 2000/2001 heat. I actually found myself really hating this guy as I watched...the youngling scene was pretty damn chilling and at the end of the Obi-Wan/Vader duel, the venom and hatred he was spewing just made me hate him so much more... I found the scene with him donning the suit....odd....it was weird hearing James Earl Jones talking about Padme and of course the NOOOOOOOOOO.... I'm an Ewan McGregor mark, but boy did he ham up that final scene with Vader "You were the chosen one, you were like my brother, I loved you!" my rankings: ESB ROTJ ROTS ANH TPM AOTC I'll be seeing it probably two more times in the next week or so... -
that show is kinda sorta bullshit, huh?
