I'd like Tony Reali a whole lot more if he wouldn't say the same lines EVERY show... "and then there 3" "he GONE" "we're on a 23 1/2 hour break, see you tomorrow Around The Horn" oh and he needs to stop with the "throwing the paper ball at the camera" schtick...reminds me of Jimmy Fallon and his lame "throw the pencil at the camera" thing on Weekend Update...

If only he could have stayed healthy, Ahmed Johnson...though I have a feeling it woulda been similar to Sid's reigns (over guy but sudden crap with the belt)... One guy who SHOULD someday get it is Shelton Benjamin, but the fucking guy wasn't even on Raw in Japan, for whatever reason...freaking IC champ is on Raw once in 3 weeks? he'll never get over so i'll let that dream go...

I'm kind of feeling the Mysterio love as well...I've always liked that guy...which leads me to a some questions: 1. Could he honestly EVER be considered a WWE Championship or AT LEAST a US Championship contender? 2. If so, how could it be made feasible for someone to job the title to him without that person looking bad in the process (obviously UT losing a title to Mysterio, for example, would really hurt the appearnce of the character of UT)? 3. Would he draw? The guy has always been over, and lately he's been HEALTHY...hell nobody actually DRAWS these days so would it make a difference? 4. How long a reign would you give him? Obviously not a long one, but perhaps a S.Series to Royal Rumble type run? 5. How could you make the obvious mismatches with opponents lead to a believable outcome? Is every win a fluke because of a mistake on his opponent's part or sheer luck he was able to capitalize on? Who would you program him with? Mostly smaller guys like Angle, Cena and Eddie, maybe even Booker T? Would you risk a match against UT or Big Show without worrying about the fans crapping on the absurdity of him actually beating those guys? If it wasn't for the spoilers on the internet and knowing the ins and outs of wrestling and it's politics, if I was purely a mark, there were several times last night I would have sworn Mysterio was going to win that thing...

Beyond that, how many people here browse the forums at work? NoCalMike, obviously, but how many others? How many people here even have jobs that let you sit and bum on the internet on paid time? That's usually IT/executive/dot-com stuff, and we're mostly an underpaid college kid crowd. And I bet most of us don't even tell our co-workers we watch wrestling, let alone read a board about it while there. I do most of my forum-ing at work...I'm a dept. manager for a distribution center...

bite your tongue, they usually get some pretty good looking chicks on Room Raiders...the Watch and Learn commercials are pretty good too...and nothing beats the old guy faking the heart attack in order to Punk his family...

Let's see, I live in Omaha, NE so: I've been to a Raw in 1997 and one in 1998...when I have more time I will check that site to get the specifics...the Raw in 1998 was about a week, maybe two weeks prior to Summerslam that year...the Raw in 1997 featured an IC title change and I can't remember if it was Rocky Miavia losing to Owen Hart or the other way around... In 1996, i went to In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies...horrible show but it featured the pretty damn good HBK vs. Diesel street fight for the Title...the one where Diesel jacknifes him through a table and tries to use Mad Dog Vachon's fake leg on him... I went to several house shows when i was younger and non-smarky, mid to late 80s...Hulk Hogan vs. Killer Khan sticks out in my mind...oh and getting yelled at directly by Iron Mike Sharp after I flipped him off!

I've been wanting to read this guy's books...two questions: 1. Which books have become movies? I know Get Shorty, Be Cool and I want to say Out Of Sight (right?)....2. What should be my first read from him?

Orton was a good wrestler (better than his son) who was involved in main-event feuds against everyone from Hogan and Backlund on down throughout the early and mid 80's. other than being a good wrestler, what did he accomplish that Warrior didn't? I haven't seen him do anything that sticks out in my mind more than Warrior's initial 5 year WWE run...

oh well...
