well, being a jedi I just assumed Obi-wan could just tell that it was a space station...perhaps 3 will shed some light since they did show the battle plans for the death star in 2...

Doesn't Luke tell Yoda in 'Jedi' that he's come back to complete his training? I thought that implied he hadn't returned since Empire. I'd like to see a definitive SW timeline, if there is one. Luke told Yoda in ESB that he promises he'll return to complete his training...in ROTJ he tells R2D2 he's going to degobah to keep a promise to an old friend... as Yoda lay dying, Luke says there is so much more he needed to teach but Yoda tells him he knows enough...to me that whole deal says he hasn't been back since ESB...he most likely learned stuff on his own between ESB and ROTJ...

first question...I'm thinking the time frame between episodes 4, 5 and 6 is probably no more than a year or two between 4 and 5 and less than a year between 5 and 6...for 4 and 5 you figure it takes the Rebellion a good amount of time to move operations from Yavin to Hoth and Luke seems to have somewhat advanced in his Jedi self-training (remember he used the force to pull his lightsaber out of the snow in that monster's cave), plus the Rebellion seems to have really bolstered their forces between 4 and 5...as far as 5 and 6, I say less than a year because I highly doubt it would take them any longer to learn the whereabouts on frozen Han, I'm thinking Lando and Chewie would be smart enough to know that any bounty hunter in the galaxy would have took Han to Jabba... 2. Remember, Leia mentions to Luke that their mother died when she was very young, Leia was a grown woman when Alderaan was destroyed...chances are her mother probably just died from something natural... 3. The Hutts, to me, seem to be similar to the Mafia where there was probably a lot of infighting with Jabba being the ultimate one on top by the time the dust settled...so chances are either Gardola just died or he had him/her wacked... As far as Anakin's turn to the darkside...I truely think it happens when he faces Dooku in a showdown and ends up mercilessly killing him, basically the opposite of what Luke did in his finaly battle with Vader (Luke had the chance to kill him which would have turned him to the darkside but he chose not to)...I'm sure I'm way off, but that is my theory, perhaps it APPEARS that Padme is killed somehow by Dooku or his forces which drives Anakin to the point of confronting Dooku and letting his anger and aggression totally take control...I also read somewhere a little blurb about Anakin thinking Obi-Wan and Padme have some lovin going on on the side, I sure to god hope that's not how it goes, but knowing Lucas I'm sure that will be the case...

More emotion from the actors. In Ep II, if Anakin isn't as wooden, I think that the movie works much better. I thought Anakin came across as TOO whiney, not so much wooden...Padme was the wooden one, I can't think of one movie with Natalie Portman in it that I actually thought she gave a good performance. Other than being stroke material, she is worthless...

nl, the thing is, where is HE at? how do we know HE was really there and HE was really throwing that party...the "punk" party pictures and that other party, we see him in the same damn room, we don't see him at all in those parties same as this jello party...i doubt he was holding the camera ALL night, if so he's a schmuck because the "camera guys" at parties are always schmucks...

How do we know he's really at THAT party? Me, personally, Im not hating on the chicks that are there, other than their pot bellies from binge drinking, but his parties just don't look fun to me. jello wrestling is not fun to look at, now maybe if they were all BUTT naked that'd be different. his punk party looked no different than halloween night at your local dance club, big deal...I admit I can't counter with my own pictures, but I'm nearing 30 and I'm a father, I stopped going to parties years ago and I get out to the clubs maybe once a week anymore so I have no pictures to provide...like I say, his parties just don't look as exciting to me as I guess they do to others, guess that's just me *shrugs*
