Anyone else mark over seeing Pat Patterson in that compilation? -

Any former world champion can be in this match? I'm sure they'll whittle it down, but could we see a fatal 24-way? Cena will still leave as champ, of course, but that's a given. -

Mark-out meter just went through the roof with the two Bret clips. Jesse Ventura looks like shit! -

Forgettable mistake, but JR realised it about five seconds after he said it: The Wachovia Center is in Philly, not Wilkes-Barre. -

Not bad. Neither guy loses heat, and Khali on SD doesn't hurt. He'd either job night after night to Cena or HHH on Raw. -

I was expecting more of a picture of him, along with some guy talking for him, like Edge did with Flair a few years ago, or like Conan O'Brien does. -
Combos weren't as good as I remembered, with the exception of the "Pizzeria Pretzel" flavour. I actually found them in a quite a few places on my city-wide "best pepperette" search.

He was kinda sloppy, but plenty of charisma, lots of heat, and, as Invader said, lots of believable power stuff. Although it was a freak thing, it is unfortunate to think that his career would end as it did.

My God yes! Treble, SodaLicious was awesome. Along the same lines: For fear or bringing my attention to my grammatical disaster earlier, YPV, I won't re-quote. But it's been edited since.

I can't believe I said Winged Foot. My email is through the Golf Channel, and they've been hyping up Oakmont for about 3 weeks now. Good call on the sinister thing. I don't mind a winning score near or over par a couple times a year, but I don't want 8 or 9-over to be the best either. That being said, I think we're in for a treat if it's nearly as entertaining as last year was. And this is coming from a Mickelson guy.

That sounds familiar now that you mention it. While I'm not entirely undermining how valuable McCabe is to the powerplay, it seemed to me that the a guy like Greg de Vries or Teppo Nummenin could be as important as Kaberle is to the Leafs. Their defence is pretty thin after McCabe/Kaberle, and a stay-at-home guy would be more beneificial then a player who only scores on the man-advantage. It's easy to overlook that Peca, an underrated two-way player, was hurt all year, although he's also a UFA.

Austin has some momentum headed into Winged Foot, with the current season's best finishing round of 62 good enough to win. I'm looking forward to the tournament itself next week, but the course sounds like it's going to be sinister.

Those was sneakily five years ago. How fucked is that? I spent like two minutes (that's like ten in Internet Time) staring at this, trying to figure out what you meant. This is almost as bad as that "I have never been to this board again" post. Indeed I was, Baron. Even so, I shouldn't have let that slide. Jesus. Edited, Czech.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll need Ali to somehow give back 20 or so years of his life, then die.
-
Dreger was talking about him on tsn.ca earlier. Says he'll waive it to go to Long Island (the fuck?). Who's he buddies with that play there? I don't think it's the noted repuation of how well-run the organization is that attracted him there. Pretty good crop of potential UFA's. Here's a list

He just seemed so smug during the presentation, as if knew he was right all along. This is by no means a shot at Tiki or Hart or Ocean, but when the estimates of a free Cup parade feature 45% bandwagoners at a 20,000 people event, that doesn't seem like everything is running smoothly. The whole thing just seemed like he was working on commission and trying to sell us on it. It's not so much this act itself, just the icing on the cake of his shitty reign.

And I've done all of Hard. I've 5-starred everything in the first 5 tiers except for Woman. I will never ever 5 star Institutionalized, Carry Me Home, or Misrilou on Hard.
-
God help me, but with Souray potentially gone, that doesn't sound that bad.
-
You beat me to it, but when I glanced at this title, I read it as "Bryan Adams - Glass Tiger".

I'd like to see this article (not that I don't believe you). Who in the right mind would think Muckler would want anything to do with Yashin? And while we're at it, what makes anyone think Yashin wants to be anywhere near Ottawa again?
-
It was five summers ago we first saw those debuted. How fucked is that?

Yeah, I cant deny the Selanne comment either. This will be probably his most memorable image after him shooting his glove when he scored 76 in Winnipeg.
-
Anyone watching the Smythe presentation? Bettman is trying to sell us on Sunbelt teams like it were a house with a leaky basement.

He used to date my daycare teacher. Her name was Miss Debbie.
