Fuck da Patriots. In all seriousness, this was an amazing game.
-
Anyone have the promo were Mankind said he couldn't beat Triple H, but Cactus Jack could. It was from Smackdown.
-
Any great memories of a particular spot/angle? Here's one of mine:

I particularly remember him putting Tazz through the ring. The fact that it wasn't planned, in his home town, was unforgettable. -
QEW between Lyons Creek and Netherby, headed towards Lyons Creek. There is absolutely no way that whale isn't fucking that seal.

You're thinking of porn.

Did you get to see the Yzerman game on the 2nd? A cavalcade of old teammates, mostly from the Cups in 97-98 were brought back. It was pretty cool to see Bob Rouse, Mike Vernon and Steve Duchesne again.

Some obvious choices, and a few surprises (based on the desert island criteria) In no order: Bret vs Taker vs Austin vs Vader (IYH Final Four) Bret vs. Perfect (Summer Slam 91) Royal Rumble 92 Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie vs The New Age Outlaws -Dumpster Match - WM14 Owen vs Bret- WM 10 Austin vs Bret- WM 13 The Ultimate Warrior v. Macho Man Randy Savage - WrestleMania VII The Hart Foundation vs Steve Austin, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and The Road Warriors - Canadian Stampede Tag Team Royal Rumble - Raw, June 1998 (I'm not sure what it was about this, I just always had fun watching it, even on tape three or four years later) Michaels vs Mankind - IYH: Mind Games -
I really like the Good Burger one. I've told almost every customer who's asked me what the Special Editon of Movie X was that (in most cases), something they'd watch once and forget about, or wouldn't even care enough to watch the whole thing. Good Burger, while a hoot, applies.

Czech said this already, but it warrants an underline: A move away from Mississauga would be good for a team. If it's not the Leafs, they don't care. (Anyone remember the Roadrunners? With the Ricoh Centre built just for them?)

Thank you Bam Bam. One of the true great big men of all time, and from what I've read a few times now, a legitimate good guy.

Greatest WWF Matches of the 90's Poll/Tourney

By greatest, what's the criteria? Favourite? Most unique? Most revolutionary? Most entertaining? Can we count battle royales/Royal Rumbles? -
Tough to say. I'd absolutely go see an OHL team if it came to Niagara, but this idea's been kicking around for a while now, with tires being spun a lot. Don Cherry actually lead a coalition for moving the team to Niagara last year, but the Falls idea just didn't come through. Newly elected St. Kitts mayor Brian McMullan seems very gung-ho for the idea, but it could be a tough sell, as a new four-pad arena opened in, I think 99 or 2000. It would definitely be cool to see, though I don't see it happening.

Breakfast: Granola bar and glass of Hi-C Lunch: Left-over BBQ beef I made in the slow-cooker on a toasted bun with cheese and Frank's Supper: Spanish Rice (Ground beef, instant rice, and tomato soup. Very similar to Hamburger Helper)

Cristobal Huet made 44 fucking saves. That's gotta change. The Habs can't score four goals every game, although Samsonov was among them for a change. 4-1 win for rouge blue et blanc. Toronto wins a late nail-biter over the Cats 3-2.

Peruse my past three years of posts. How often have I flattered myself, bragged, or patted myself on the back? That should prove the merit to the following statement: No person alive can make chili as good as I. It's actually fairly run-of-the-mill, but with two ingredients I add. Is the Olive Garden a cop-out answer? The reason I ask is that I started a world-wide great soup search in 1998, and the Olive Garden's Zuppa Tuscana is still in the lead (home-made is out....which I think disqualifies my chili statement).

Not bad, actually. I doubt it'll get the love Schiavo got a few years ago. Anyone remember the blue ribbon KKK had in his sig?

I thought I noticed something last night when I filled the the overflow thank...there's a hose, about the circumference of a dime, that leads to....nowhere. It literally stops atop my overflow tank. In the daylight today, it was confirmed. I'm thinking this might have something to do with it? I'd never noticed it before, but never really looked for it either.... Also, topped up my antifreeze at lunch. It's still full five hours later...So that effectively rules out leaking.

Allenby's in the lead with a -9 today, on the four-course, five-day Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. David Duval shot a -5 and is in eighth place.
-
The fuck inspired that? I think that was directed at King....
-
Haven't you heard, they do the freaky shit. As is often the case in the NHL thread, King is spot on.

I don't like that, as crazy as it sounds. The way he's played this year is absolutely not indiciative of what he's capable of, and he'd almost certainly be dealt for a used puck bag at this point. With Price in the minors, and Huet clearly ready to handle a Montreal starting job, Aebisher and a pick for a stay-at-home d man would sit very well with me.
-
But they're losing 2-0 to the Nucks so far. *head explodes*
-
How rigged is the Royal Rumble? It goes without saying that the winner is, of course, and #1 and #2 in some examples seem to have been. What about the others? What about eliminations?
-
Yes...but the curtain call doesnt bother me. Could you explain what happened or direct me to somewhere where I can read about them? I knew some of these things happened, but I had no idea he was that bad. In May '96 at a house show, the last before Hall and Nash left for WCW, after the Main Event of, I believe, HBK and Nash, the three I've mentioned and HHH hugged and palled around in the ring. A fan caught it on his cam. This made Vince absolutely livid.....

Can I get a rundown of last night's Raw? I've been reading the posts left here last night, but a lot of it is grey to me. Here's what I understand clearly: Super Crazy with his ECW music beat Masters. Cryme Tyme took on WGTT...on MLK Jr. Day. Here's what I couldn't quite understand: Did HBK go over clean? (I fear this answer, as it sounds like he did) Did RKO argue with Edge as Raw went off the air? (Also sounds like) Is Carlito really fired?(Smackdown) What was his connection, if any, with the Vince thing? Vince with Khali vs Hogan with Trump got mentioned.....come on? And no, no person alive wants to see Epic Movie.
