    Things you shouldn't do.

Chris and Yasmine. And the "things that shouldn't be done" was about Yasmine's bitching at me, although I found it relevant to Matt Young's first story. In hindsight....not so much.

Leena, take centre stage. Buffalo defeats Carolina 4-1 tonight, sweeping the season series 4-0.

    TSM Death Pool - 2007

You mean Strom Thurmond? Because he died three years ago. Really? I never knew that. I kinda thought he was immortal. </embarrased> So does Ali become kinda my default best bet? It's your call as to whether I get a replacement or not. If I do, Dick Clark. I swear to God, I thought he was still alive.

    TSM Death Pool - 2007

Gotta be honest, double C. I just re-read the rules. I originally picked my best bet to be Thurman, not Ali.

    TSM Death Pool - 2007

^ Gagne, my predictions come with a bowl of soup. Michael J Fox Muhammad Ali (best bet) Kirk Douglas Jimmy Carter Little Richard Joe Clark David Suzuki Paul Newman Jim Neidhart Keith Richards (yeah, I said it) Superstar Billy Graham Gordie Howe Abe Vigoda Don Cherry (Conservative government toppled when Canadian death toll in Afghanistan runs too high. Cherry suffers heart attack). George H W Bush Barbara Bush BB King Englebert Humperdink Osama bin Laden Strom Thurman I generally wish everyone good luck in the KKK pick'em. What's my line here?

I don't go to funerals. But how could a funeral attended by politicians be anything but dry and boring?

My buddy's girlfriend bitched at me a few weeks ago for calling his cell as they were fucking. That didn't sit well with me.

    Worst Song(s) of 2006

Wait a minute....is Our Country the one from the Chevy commercial, with the "this is our attitude, this is our lifestyle" etc. graphics along the bottom of the screen? If we're on the same page, that is hands-down the worst song of the year(rescinding on my hate of Hinder above), and I didn't even factor in my Mellancamp prejudice.

    Post-Christmas shopping

Who's your provider? I was under the impression Bell had the most HD channels with 28, but a buddy of mine is home from college in Ottawa, and though he told me so drunk, he said Rogers had 32 HD channels. </marvin> What size, by the way?

    MikeSC's Website?

I just clicked the link before realising this thread was started some 2.5 years ago....today's feature links included an ad for "Conservatives are from Mars, Liberals from San Fransisco", an article about the bravery by a regular Charlie Churchgoer who prevented terrorists from taking over his church, and an article entitled "No plunger required! How to unclog your toilet!" I kind of like that.

    NHL Thread: It's December Now.

Sorry, Star Ocean. What Baron just wrote is absolute fact. What I find most fascinating about it is that Vancouver moved from tenth to third in the West in one game. ONE POINT separates first from fifth in the Northwest right now. Last night was playoff hockey.

    NHL Thread: It's December Now.

That was a great twenty minutes from about halfway through the second to halfway through the third. The US made a game of it, ending Price's shut-out streak, but, ultimately, Canada looks to be the best team thus far, provided they don't get complacent as they did in the second period today. Fortunately, the memory of 2004 should remind them of that. Max or Nskie, did you see that line change that wound up costing the B's the win last night? TSN is picking it apart right now at intermission, but I doubt there was much more to the story apart from what was shown....just a brain fart?

    Best Games of 2006

Bah. The back nine of the 2004 Masters was exceptionally entertaining, even discounting the excitement combined from Mick's jump and the nuclear crowd reaction when he drained that putt.

    Best Games of 2006

I'm still a Mickelson fan, don't get me wrong. Mick had the Masters wrapped up by the end of Amen Corner at the very latest. There were still three or four or five guys who could have won the U.S Open in the fourth round. It was, I'm sure you'll agree, a fascinating Sunday afternoon.

Maher Arar still considered a threat to US!

I said this to open the thread, and I stil think it's relevant: As Canadians, who are we to tell the U.S. who they should/shouldn't allow into their country? Harper owes Arar an apology for what he's been through on behalf of Canadians, maybe even a couple bucks. Bacon, I'm going to see your perspective and give you the benefit of the doubt on this one for the time being, Bacon: Maybe the States have been a little too eager to say "Hey, we caught some more bad guys!". That doesn't mean everything done by the States is either bullying or imperialistic. And it doesn't change the fact that the RCMP was wrong.

    Best beatdowns

I remember that pretty well; I don't remember ever seeing Rocky on camera after the beating bloody tho? I was, however, watching it on a Tuesday afternoon on TSN, after the censors had their way....

I agree. Some of it was funny, and often the general public are indeed drooling retards when it comes to video games.....But Gord struck me as being more of a prick than being a 'don't fuck with me' type. On topic, I work with a guy who would defend Playstation up and down over anything else. My claim in July 2005 of "Dan, I've owned both systems(XBox and PS2), and I simply prefer Xbox" led to his calling my mother a bitch and his promising me that (and this is an exact quote I remember very vividly) "XBox sucks, man! It fucking sucks! Microsoft is going to go under because PS2 is so much better". Oh, by the way. He bought a 360 this past October, after telling me "Yeah, I'm gonna trade in my PS2. It's junk, and all my games for it are cruddy". Anyone ever see the Spongebob where Squidward pretends not to like Krabby Patties, and is caught eating hundreds of them at the end of the episode? If you have, you surely remember the look on Spongebob's face at the end of it. I had that same look on my face for at least a month when I saw him.
