As much as I love both Augusta and Mickelson, and I feel badly saying this, Baron, I'm gonna side with Leena and give the golf nod to the US Open and not the Masters. Game Six of the Stanley Cup Finals. Montreal's two-game series last March with the Leafs.

They've got stars in their eyes. CC, Their TV's are that cheap? Wow. My Wal*Mart's hyping a 42 plasma for 1000. It's made by ILO, which aren't nearly as bad as the no-namedness would suggest, but compared to an LG? That Aquos is a steal at 15 hun, while we're at it.

I still have Christmas presents to wrap. And by still, I mean, haven't wrapped a single one yet. There's been wrapping paper and presents on my table for two weeks. I almost guarantee, that I'm not the only one who's in this spot.

They're doing their damndest to take the title from Blink 182 for me. To illustrate that point, "Get Stoned" by Hinder beats "Lips of an Angel" by a nose as the topic question. Those two songs can switch spots depending on time of day.

I'm blatantly hacking this line from a similar thread this past spring, but I'd much rather hit Phelps with an AIDS-infested bat.

Wow. The fact that he wrote bitches on a cheque is fantastic. How long was he going around in circles for if he knew it was mind-numbing enough to record?

They should do like the Scrooge McDuck and Glongold from Ducktales and whp out the big scale. *****. Gold.

As much as I don't want to see a team in Houston, I'd become even more irate if they moved to Kansas City, just on the grounds that this would be the third city that had a failed team come back into the fold after an unsuccessful first attempt. The basis of what I just said is irritating to me on the grounds that if a city with a failed previous team deserves a second shot, it should be a traditional hockey market, a Quebec or Hartford, than a Kansas City.

My three picks as well.

The bacon melt is the much better of the two new ones they're offering. But it's very dry, I found, so make sure they slather it with ketchup and mustard.

What's the story on that top one with the gloryhole statue? Where's it from?

I"m a little more perplexed as to why Niedermayer has more votes than Pronger. Pronger has more goals, assists, game winning goals, and has a better plus/minus.

Snitsky's poem Didn't see this one posted thus far, but it' s hilarious. Flair's gotta be plastered.

How much water should I add? Is the amount of time I leave in in the Crock dependant on food? weight? What about marinating?

Boooooooooo. Actually, from what I've seen, he's been kinda hot and cold this year. He has played reasonably well at times, and like you said, he does lead the team in +/-.

As much as I love golf in general, and the Masters tournament in particular, this probably could have gone in Comments that don't warrant a thread. Better yet, you could have started a "PGA TOUR- January" Thread, which is only 15 days from starting. Davis Love III, for the record, made almost the exact same shot in 1999, also on Sunday.

Is it that wrong of me to say "If it's not broke, don't fix it"? We did just beat the second best team in the league for the second time this year....why are we talking (not-as-big-as-it-once-could-have-been)blockbuster trade? For god's sake Gainey, save your money and rent Gagne in February when the Philly fire sale begins if you're that hell-bent on adding more firepower....never mind the fact you still haven't addressed your problem of Huet (once again) facing over 40 shots again.

Goals comin in bunches tonight: 3-0 Bruins, 3-0 Blues through one. 4-1 Cats early in the second, and 3-2 Habs over Buffalo through 30.

Thanks for all the ideas, by the way. I'd still been using my BBQ quite a bit when I started this thread...winter's pretty well here, and I've been using my slow cooker prolly three times a week. My grandmother told me repeatedly when I picked it up that the great thing about it was the ability to throw basically whatever I want in a pot, and be able to add or take ingredients away as I like. Also, great link Rant. Thanks. Check out www.tastycrockpotrecipes.com for a few good ones. A few of my own concotions include a chili with a few things I won't share, shredded chicken with taco spices and cheese sauce, and stewing beef with carrots, dry onion soup mix, beer and potatoes.

There are three people in the world I never want to see again. Two are former bosses, one is a current co-worker, albeit on maternity leave. I've ran into two of them within the last three weeks.

Tell the crickets I'm sorry for interrupting them. TSN.ca's Ice Chips says that Montreal has been trying to acquire Sergei Fedorov for some depth at centre. They're also saying that Federov "could help keep the Habs in the playoff race". Only three teams in the league have more points than the Habs, so take that for what it's worth. I'd love to see #91 in rouge, blue et blanc, but Higgins is coming back soon, and Fedorov isn't exactly lighting it up (three of his eight this season are with the man-advantage, and the Habs don't need much help there). 6.1 mil could be better spent on a stud defenceman on February 28.

Maher Arar still considered a threat to US!

C-Bacon, this thread was custom made for you, my fellow hippie Layton is half right. Canadian officials should apologise to him. While I don't agree that he should be barred from the States on the grounds of his clean stale via Canadian investigation, if it helps Americans sleep at night (since so many of them are afraid of their own shadows), that's their perogative. -
Comments that don't warrant a thread
CanadianGuitarist replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I like how he brings up the past and treats it like an actual sport, referring to history and stuff that's often forgotten. He's no Ventura (or Heenan, who takes my #1 spot), but apart from the occasional playing favourites, as I described above, JBL is a very good commentator, I feel. -
This was a great topic last year: I'll get the ball rolling with an obvious one, and a not-so-obvious one that I think many will agree with: - Triple H would not hold the ANY title in 2006. - The best promos all year would come from three guys who are essentially all retired, and all over 40: Take your pick of any Flair/Foley promo, and Michael Hayes during The Cutting Edge last January.
