It was actually a cover done by Kilgore...although I started watching ECW in 98. I suppose it's possible he adopted Kilgore for the ECW CD released in the summer of 98, but I don't ever remember it being Pantera.

Comments that don't warrant a thread

Agreed...I still think most of the hate directed at him is based on when he took over for Jim Ross on Monday Night RAW in '98 or so (after JR's bell's palsy attack). He was pretty green and terrible back then, but I think he's now one of the best play-by-play commentator's in wrestling. Both well-said and spot on. -
Los Boricuas. It's certainly not my favourite, but an enjoyable theme, especialy when done live by the Boricuas. A unique entrance, complete with choreography and even a little crowd interaction.

Simultaneously? I'm a borderline expert at picking things up with my toes. This will not solve the nature/nurture debate, however, as my dad also is. We both, however, were inspired by an armless motivational speaker (interestingly, the same one, close to 20 years apart, at different schools). He's got the record at the moment with picking a Hershey's kiss from a candy dish on my grandmother's coffee table, unwrapping it and eating it with his toes. I'm calling victim of circumstance, as the fact he did it in full view of his mother-in-law might giveshim a slight nod as the better man...but Todd Hamilton, who has one major win, is not a better golfer than Sergio Garcia, who has none.

That win keeps me alive mathematically. KKK eluded to my poor divisional play. I'm probably the only one who analysed it so closely, but I'm leading the fucking division in points for, yet tied for last. My head hurts.

I think Michael Cole is a pretty good announcer. -
I was just thinking that...is anyone really a homer on the Hockey threads? I mean, it's obvious who most of our teams are, but full-on homers? I don't really think there are any.

The Wal*mart I work at had a formal a few years ago. Though I didn't go, I'm told it was a pay for, but it was a bargain all things considered. Although it was scrapped due to grossly excessive drunkeness.

Examples of Milking a Franchise After It's Lifespan Ended
CanadianGuitarist replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
Problem Child 3 I think Son of the Mask would fit here. I feel bad for whoever thought making a Mask sequel eleven years after the original was a good idea. At least they didn't drag out any of the main characters from the first one, I suppose. Oh yeah, here's another one: Major League. I thought 2 was okay, but I saw no point in bothering with making "Back to the Minors." We have a winner. The sad thing is how many people who think the second one is infinitely better than the first because so many guys my age were too young to see the original, but were 11 or 12 when ML2 came out. -
Huh? Explain....I think. What's this logo? New Tampa marketing ploy?

Literally, my screen went black for five seconds, then everything was huge. It was like in World 4 in Mario 3. Windows Help only led me to making the icons bigger, which is salting the wound. Help?

Jacques Demers. And a Stanley Cup champion at that too. You both beat me to that.

Seattle? I was gonna say, Vancouver's got shit figured out for their winters and summers: Seldom lower than 2 or 3 degrees C in winter, seldom higher than 20 C in the summer.

Everything I'd thought of had been mentioned, so I'm just gonna offer some love for Rocky 6... -
Vancouver finally wins a game! And nets a few while doing it!

Child Arrested After Opening Holiday Gift Early
CanadianGuitarist replied to Rob Anybody's topic in Current Events
I"m inclined to agree with the majority of you, that sometimes a kid needs to be spanked and that parents are definitely becoming pussified. I know all of you meant it as well, but I'll again emphasize I don't mean a beating. The way I see it, it's not the pain thats scares the child into thinking twice, it's the embarrassment. I wholeheartedly agree with the poster who worked in retail. Sickening as it is, the situation you described with the five year old saying to his father seems pretty commonplace nowadays, although that was a more extreme example. I see it almost daily, as I also work in retail (in electronics, no less). Kids will continue to ask if they can have this movie/game/cd etc., will complain and ask and scream enough until the parents give in. You know what else I'm seeing a lot of? It's not that parents can't necessarily control their kids, its that when a child begins to cry/scream, the parents will say "Go ahead and scream, I'll ignore you until you stop". Is a three-year-old going to understand that? Hell no. I'm even seeing the technique backfire a lot, in which they'll attempt to ignore, but get so annoyed or upset by the screaming they'll spoil them to get them to shut up. Bottom line in all this: Am I a parent? No. I don't really plan on it, either. So maybe this does seem all kind of easy to me not having done it before, and I'm sure that is the case. But there has to be some middle ground between the framework we've laid out and our actual parenting ability. As much as I didn't realize it at the time, my parents did something right, as they continually tell me and my brother how good we were in stores and at others' houses as children. -
Float Driver in Parade Charged With DUI
CanadianGuitarist replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Chat
I could see passing a float, but I've been awfully good about DUI. As for York, all bets are off. -
What exactly is a cheque card? Far as I know they're not available in Canada...It's like a pre-paid credit card right? If it withdraws from a chequing account, why use that instead of debit? To answer the topic: I make a point to carry two fives, a ten and a twenty. That doesn't happen nearly as often as I'd like though. Both jobs are direct deposit.

Damned if I know why, but not nearly as badly as Buffalo seems to. The realtors I do ads for in London said EVERYTHING was closed.

Things I Hold Alfdogg Personally Responsible For
CanadianGuitarist replied to Sandman9000's topic in No Holds Barred
Things I "Credit" Alfdogg for. -
It's easy to say this now that they're shit, but they certainly put all their eggs in one basket with Leclaire. That said, one all-star calibre defenceman adds credibility, and having Fedorov, Nash, Carter, Modin and Zherdev is plenty potent. I can't be the only one who thought that would be enough to make a run. I was certainly wrong, however.

My dad and I both really like that. He hammered the point home when he told me this story yesterday. -

Child Arrested After Opening Holiday Gift Early
CanadianGuitarist replied to Rob Anybody's topic in Current Events
I'm about fourteen hours behind conversation on this, but: Am I the only kid on the planet who didn't have any desire to open his presents or try and hide his parent's hiding spots beforehand?
