Bill Clinton defends his record on terrorism
CanadianGuitarist replied to SuperJerk's topic in Current Events
Since GaryFloyd and I share avatars, I agree. Where's JPB? -
So we've talked alot, especially last summer, about Chris Cuthbert and Brian Williams bolting for TSN. It's weirder to see Darren Dreger on the panel. But he's defending my boy Marc Savard, as his Bob McKenzie, which has been a nickname for my big-headed buddy Craig since 2000.

Lamoierello has indeed gotten long term injury status for Mogilny. So, in the last six hours, he re-signed Gionta, Rasmussen, Hale, Martin and Clemmensen. Place your bets on what his cell phone bill's gonna be this month. Also, how come you didn't make any picks, CC?

Souray on the first team? Phaneuf as Hart winner? JORDAN Stall as the Ross/Richard winner? You answered question 20 each time, I think.
-
You're both right. Ninnema is not going to strike fear into a streaking forward. But he will fit well with Montreal, he's at least not toooooo over the hill, and I think most Habs fans are happy to see Ribeiro go. It's possible we've got the bar pretty low with so many bad trades we've endured over the past nine years.

Unless TSN's preview Tuesday features Mickie James offering predictions while masturbating, UndertakerHart's sexy picks will not be beaten. Washington winning the division and Steeltown in the playoffs? *tips cap*
-
Oakland flubs a 16-7 lead, which prevents me from a beautiful Pro-Line payday. On the updside, they fucked up as absolutely much as possible while covering. 2-2.

1. Who will win the Hart Trophy? Jarome Iginla 2. Who will win the Vezina Trophy? Miikka Kiprusoff 3. Who will win the Calder Trophy? Malkin.....not by much. 4. Who will win the Art Ross Trophy? Alex Ovechkin 5. Who will win the Richard Trophy? Shared by Iginla, Ovechkin and Heatley. 6. What team had the best offseason? Columbus 7. What team had the worst offseason? Ottawa 8. Which team will be the most improved over last year? Phoenix 9. Which team will be the biggest disappointment? Ottawa. I'd say Pittsburgh, who will be a train wreck even with Malkin, but that doesn't really count 10. What was the best offseason move? Chara to Boston 11. What was the worst offseason move? Dipietro. Come on. What's even close? 12. Who will make the playoffs that didn't last year? Tampa and Colorado 13. Who will not make the playoffs that did last year? Columbus and Minnesota 14. Who would make your All-NHL first team? Up front: Jagr with Iginla and Ovechkin. Kipper in net, Chara takes one defence spot, and Pronger/Niedermayer share the second. 15. Who will be the division winners? Buffalo, New York, Carolina, Calgary, San Jose, Nashville (Imagine saying that during the 2002 Olympics) 16. Eastern Conference Final: Philly, even with goaltending I'm not too sold on, over the Habs 17. Western Conference Final: Calgary over San Jose 18. Stanley Cup Final: Calgary sneaks by Philly. 19. Who will win the Conn Smythe Trophy? Dion Phaneuf 20. Make one bold prediction: Todd Bertuzzi will follow the Dany Heatley path to recovery.

Speaking of trades, bound-to-be-clobbered Habs forward Ribero has been traded to Dallas for Janne Ninnema.
-
Atlanta Dallas Indianapolis Miami Buffalo Carolina San Diego Kansas City St. Louis Oakland Jacksonville New England Chicago Green Bay St Louis with 21. Good luck, all.
-
Well done, but he was at least five years in the making *doffs hat* No disrespect, sir.

I had considered a topic like this a few weeks ago. Destorying a company that had years of credibility (even tho a lot of it wasn't Russo's fault) trumps bailing out a company in trouble.
-
Imagine the records he would hold if World War II never happened. Thank you Mr. Nelson. Farewell.
-
I can't believe I forgot Wolski. Won't entirely fill the void left by Tanguay (and that's not even the biggest problem the Avs have, not by a long shot), but he is the reigning OHL MVP.

Of all-time? Bass-O-Matic and Chris Farley Chippendale seem to win the discussions I have most often. My two are lesser known: Dysfunctional Family Feud from Farley-Sandler Era, followed by Ferrell Era, in which Mike Myers hosted "Questions from British Parliament".
-
At GameFaqs over the summer, I called that Malkin would squeak by Kessel in the Calder TROPHY (not Cup, not to sound like a tool), I'll stick by it even with the six weeks off for Malkin, but I'm also thinking O'Sullivan will be in the running. I really like Brule as well.

14 minutes to play and the Broncs lead by 16 (and soon 17)...I can safely say that the Cardinals late TD cost me 150 dollars. Green Bay and Denver did/ar edoing their part.

Durka Durka On Down To Buy A Mitsubishi Today

Since it's been my thing lately, anyone remember that SNL skit the week after 9-11 where all these guys appeared on a business public access-type show (hosted by Dan Akroyd) where they had unfortunate sounding names? Al Jessera's Used Cars? -
Took one of four in the afternoon. Now need Baltimore, St. Louis and Atlanta all to come through.
-
The fuck. Two fumbles by Pittsburgh in about 45 seconds. Cincy scored on the following play both times. 28-17. A fuck of a lot of money on Pro-Line is walking out the door.
-
Really? I hadn't heard anything along the lines until yesterday.
-
Pardon the delay, Triple K. Carolina Chicago Cincinnati Green Bay Indianapolis - Indy shouldn't have given up 23 to Houston last week, and Jacksonville looked awfully good Monday night. But the fact that I said Monday night gets Indy the nod for me. Buffalo Miami- 11.5 seems like a lot, but Miami's gonna be awfully hungry after 0-2 start. Washington Baltimore Seattle Philadelphia St. Louis Denver Atlanta St. Louis scores 22. Good luck, all.

So, in a move to surely unite non-Leafs fans across the country, Tie Domi today admitted that he'd been cheating on his wife....... Wait for it... WITH BELINDA FUCKING STRONACH.
-
The sad thing is most other commentators (minus Cherry and McLean) ignore the basics of the game. EFA. So the Habs lose 5-1 to the Leafs. Even with Aebsicher in net, I'm still not worried, though I'll admit to being a little less boisterous about the Habs then I was six days ago.

I only got to see the morning...Who sat the afternoon? Did they pull Mickelson, as seemed likely? Miller suggested pulling Tiger AND Phil.
