    The Youtube thread

I first watched this on my lunch at 1230ish and was about to say "Re-watch where T breaks up the poker game." But since Ric Flair can dance all nite long, I'll concede defeat.

    NCAA Football 07

Sorry if this has been touched on already, but 12 pages is to much for me to search through. I understand there's a feature where stats are saved and sent to your Gamertag/email?

    The Old School questions thread

Great promo, and it helped plant the seeds to help add one of the best talents our generation has ever seen into my all time favourite stable.

    Hogan out of summerslam?

I could only dream of replacing Foley with Hogan in that quote two weeks from now.

    Gaming Memories

I bet you did a lot of uppercuts? My bro and I did the exact same thing. A lot of these are pretty recent actually, what with beer ruining the majority of my memory, and often complimenting gameplay: - My brother and I finally beating Mario 3 in grade 2. We did so accidentally after getting bad advice on how to beat it. - My brother's ability to complete 8-1 in Mario 1, including the double jump with the really thin ledge halfway, and moreso, my dad getting mad at his inability to do so. - My parents pre-divorce getting home at 11 pm, with my bro and I long asleep, staying up till 3 am playing Kid Niki. - NBA Jam, both in my basement in my new home in a new country, and it being a common denominater to meet some of the new kids in the year I lived outside Canada. - My incredibly poor skills at Halo 1 the first time I played it. - Midnite Madness for Halo 2. I still can't believe I got talked into that. First night it snowed that year. - Our ESPN 2k5 hockey league, including our website featuring actual post-game interviews and pictures of us wearing suits and on the phone. - My never, ever, ever beating my buddy Matt at NES Open. My most famous loss was a Sunday afternoon before a party, when I was up by four with three to play. He said how he always got hot late and caught up(true), and I said "Yeah, I'll prolly be to careful, overdo it and lose". Sure enough, he forced a playoff and made a BOMB to birdie the second hole. I overread a two foot putt to keep the playoff alive on the same hole. -I had him on the ropes about a year later, including an ace at the 16th to tie for the lead. At this point, The Darkness' "I believe in a thing called love" began playing at the party we were at, and I PLEADED with people to shut up so I can focus. They didn't. I lost. - Settling a silly debate over who could physically bag a purchase better with a co-worker by playing drunken No Mercy. Winning, and then, ahem, bagging a girl who cheered for me when I won. Learn more here. - Our ridiculous love of Mario Party for about eight months, including my calling the operator specifically to tell her I finally became the Party Star.

    Hogan out of summerslam?

One year ago, who'd have thought that the smarks would be loving Orton? Myself included. Fuck Hogan. You've got plenty of cash, a legacy that's untarnished, and Brooke about to possibly bail that out, just in case. I keep forgetting that the majority of Raw crowds aren't posters here, shooting me in the foot. Live and learn, I guess.

    WrestleMania XXIII Main Event (RAW)

Where did this come from about people not wanting to see Flair? You're right in principle, Sykotic. But ultimately, with the amount of casual fans who come to see WM every year? People who watch wrestling once a month or five or six times a year, I'll agree, don't want to see Flair wrestle. Can I also point out that I could stil theoretically become a father before WM23? I don't think it's quite necessary(even by WWE standards) to start writing the roster off as unsellable, and needing two or three (or more) retired stars to bail out the show.

    WHAT?

Would the actress being a teen really make or break the fetish? I mean, Jesus.

    I'm 21

Hey, me too. And I suspect the same out of Office Glen and CanadianChris. If they have the brain fart enough to venture into NHB. Hey, wait a minute.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

The Blackhawks have signed Sebastien Caron for one year. I don't get this. Caron was a starter (albeit on a shitty Pittsburgh team), ergo he could start on a less than stellar Hawks team. That is, if suddenly so-so starters Lalime and the untradeable Khabibulin werent already signed.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

Crazy. Not to dispute, but msn.ca, my home page had a link up all day quoting Malkin's agent as saying he wanted to play for Pittsburgh. Hmm. Oh well. I won't complain. I'm still not that confident about the Habs getting in the playoffs(not a shot at the Habs, but a tough conference), so the less improvements the have-nots get, I'll take.

Tacos was the agreed dinner. But I need a non-gay dessert. Apple Crisp is all I can think of...help?

Comments that don't warrant a thread

Anyone see the Buick Open on Saturday afternoon? I'd never seen a "Let's go Tiger" chant anywhere. But it's not a partisan crowd, Mike Weir was also welcomed with O Canada. I don't remember the crowds being this excited at this tournament before. It's not like Phoenix though, they're still being respectful.

    N64 KID

Meh. He reacted funnily, but not that over the top.

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

As you touched on two pages earlier Max, good riddance to Tanabe. The blueline looks alright, and now there's some change to work out something with Bergeron. What's the deal with Tanabe? He always seemed pretty solid, but he's player with what, four teams now in five seasons? Bad locker room guy, perhaps?

    Hogan out of summerslam?

I'll agree with that, as I, too, was kind of looking forward to it. I mean, the crowds still eat up anything with Hogan, and even though I'd be going against the grain, anything with a strong crowd can bail things out somewhat. And I'm sure I've said this a dozen times: Brooke turning on Hulk at SS makes everybody a winner -Brooke turning on Dad gets a tonne of mainstream attention. -Hogan doesn't lose heat as he doesn't lose clean -Orton doesn't lose credibility for losing to Methuslah. Either way, something about that article struck me as a work.

The Annual St. Gabe Birthday Thread

Happy Bday Gabe. Happy Belated Muggy. You and I share a bday with James Hetfield and Troy Glaus.

    It's my birthday

Drunk or not, if an ex gf calls me to tell me happy bday and she's giving me money to get drunk this weekend...I'll take it! And since its NHB - Yah uh!

    NHL 2006 Off-Season...

Martin Rucinsky is back in St. Louis as a free agent, his second run, after a trade that continued the Habs downfall in 97. Makes sense, I guess. He'll probably be front line, second at worst, which means lots of ice time for someone with a lot of talent who was never anything more than "pretty good" in the grand scheme of things.

NWA Official Bylaws, Rules and Regulations?

Dammit! I meant to post that. There's one of those in the library of Congress?

Things that bothered you in great matches..

I'm sure I've said this before, but it makes perfect sense. Whether Hogan was a hell or face, or whether Heenan was a heel or face, Heenan always hated Hogan. He hates the dude in real life, and he's always been against him as an announcer or manager. It's like one of the longest fueds ever, Heenan never trusted Hogan in any way, so it makes sense that he would question his loyalty here, like he had always done. You're absolutely right in principle, but I doubt this was common knowledge in 96 without the IWC.

    Making a dinner

Yeah, maybe I'll just buy a box of ice cream sammiches. Tacos should make amends for the botched grilled cheese incident of 2003.
