Fantastic pick. I mentioned this during the Simpson Character draft: "Ya wanna stop calling me Mr. Moe? No." is one of my favourite Moe lines.

The new host of the Price is Right is...
CanadianGuitarist replied to Mik's topic in Television & Film
Upon further review, it is. I must have confused it with another TPiR thread, because I distinctly remember Hoff saying he wanted to Tivo it daily, but it was all the way across the room. </slayer>. I do recall Hoff giving a detailed description of what he thought of DC as the host, though. Maybe it was "Why The Fuck Do They Let Old People On", which is one of my all-time favourite threads. Quasi-related: Earlier in the week, I said "The Drew Carey Show is one of my favourite sitcoms ever, if not number one". -
I was at work for a dumb shift of 730pm-1130pm, thus missing the Leafs and Habs. How did Kovalev's goal look? And can someone explain to me how the Leafs got seven on the Pens?

Fantastic pick.

I agree with the win, but I don't know about big. Seattle's been sneaky competitive the last few weeks, and it's Holmgren's last hurrah at home. I see the Jets winning, but not by a bunch. I'm also thinking upset in the Mile High City, specifically when Tampa's 1pm win locks up the division for Denver. Couple that with the returning Trent Edwards, and I think the Bills get back to a respectable number by Sunday night.

AWESOME. How long has Brody been an ombudsman?

Since my chili recipe's out of the bag, I'll share my drink as well: Tootsie Roll. Creme de cacao and OJ. That's it. You're welcome.

CLE/NWO/MIA/MIN/NE/NYG/SF/PIT/PHI/BUF/HOU/NYJ/TB/CHI A dozen points for the Rams. Good luck, all. Edit: Yay to both.

Supermarket refuses to personalize birthday cake for 3 year old
CanadianGuitarist replied to Matt Young's topic in General Chat
I think it would only make the story better if the kid's full legal name was Fucking Adolf Hitler. That occured to me about an hour later. Awesome. -
Edit: I'm nearly done the work marathon I eluded to, so I can get a list of potential picks together and whatnot, but I'll sneak a pick in now: The Joy of Sect, Season Nine. I also second the PM idea, even though I'm guilty of not doing so with Kahran this round.

Supermarket refuses to personalize birthday cake for 3 year old
CanadianGuitarist replied to Matt Young's topic in General Chat
If this kid's name is fucking Adolf Hitler, a non-personalized birthday cake probably isn't going to be the biggest problem he'll face. Even at age three. -
Go ahead. Although: I'm not sure why you'd want to. That didn't stop CanadianGuitarist from picking guys in that point range, though! If all four of them die, net profit of 10 points. It'll work. Errie Ball is five hundred years old, for christ's sake.

That is surprising. Ninety-four!

I've added barbecue sauce to Manwich. I like that. A buddy of mine made some kind of mix of BBQ sauce, ketchup and Dr. Pepper.

The new host of the Price is Right is...
CanadianGuitarist replied to Mik's topic in Television & Film
I'm astonished Marvin didn't say anything about TPIR's recent upgrade to HD. Didn't we do his thread like a year ago? I remember Hoff analysing Drew as host. -
Two things of note happened today at work: 1) I sold a TV and warranty to an older couple. They asked me if the price was negotiable, since they "wanted to get it home in time to watch the hockey game". I said it hinged on what team they cheered for. They asked me who I liked, but I didn't answer right away. After five or ten minutes of legitimate television discussion, they agreed to take it with the warranty, so I gave them $100 bucks off. They then said they were Rangers fans, because their son was assistant coach Mike Pelino. 2) About five minutes later, a retard walked by. He was wearing a Habs t shirt and tuque.

Indy and Dallas. Picks to follow.

The hell if you couldn't have added another couple kilometres to the bottom of that triangle.

The Hawks, who also lead the league in attendance at a little more than 21k a game, snap another streak in a big way: 9-2 over the Oilers last night, despite losing their last five in Edmonton.

I was hoping Lisa's Rival would make it back to me. There's two I'm really surprised to see unpicked. So, I'll take my first instinct. Pics to follow: A Tale of Two Springfields.

At their rate of play, both of them will be gone from the team and Mnotreal wont make the playoffs. Okay, let's not get too carried away.
-
Awesome. By the way, the "fingers crossed" are in no order.
-
Quiet, you. My ballsy prediction of three weeks ago doesn't seem like a stretch any longer, does it? My facebook status two weeks ago suggested the Raiders could get into the playoffs. It turned into a picture of Jim Mora and "CG is...Playoffs!?!? Don't talk about playoffs!" shortly thereafter. What exactly are the NFL's tiebreaker stipulations? Is it solely head-to-head? Point differential? Inter-division?
