OAO Raw Thread- 12 June 2006
CanadianGuitarist replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in The WWE Folder
No DX Music for a DX reformation? I can do a crotch chop, does that mean I'm in the new DX? -
What was the crowd saying just now? We want ? -I know this is anal of me, but CBC's commercial for The National should say "Stanley Cup Playoffs" not "NHL Playoffs".

Oh. My. God. I used to date a girl who worked at a Wendy's who hated Dave Thomas, just on the grounds of her orientation, which, she said, consisted of "a lot of stupid people dancing, and an awful lot of Dave Thomas". She was right, and she wasn't right very often.

When I worked at McDonald's, a co-worker offered me sex in exchange for a cheeseburger. She then re-negged afterwards. The cunt. No offence to your sexual talents, but if she worked at McDonald's with you, couldnt she have had a cheeseburger fairly easily anyway?

I would have said that the Edge help made perfect sense from a writing standpoint, on the grounds that it got ECW up and running and built an Edge-Cena feud. I was kinda thinking (wishfully) that to make Vengeance a title match, it would end the brand split. "Apparently" blew that to pieces. I wasn't THRILLED with the show, but certainly enjoyed it. The Edge/Foley tag was awesome and the boos/yeas being traded during the RVD/Cena punch trades was the most fun I've had in a while watching wrestling.

OH YEAH! I get that all the time in my ECW. (Electronics Coaltion of Wal*Mart). People who "SWEAR THAT STARWARS IS AVAILABLE ON DVD" despite the fact it comes into theatres three days from now. Trust me, it's not just Cars. This happens at least once with every big movie. As for a similar story to your Target incident: Last May, I get a call from the return desk. "What's your policy on returning software?" "Only due to technical errors or not working from the get-go. If it's in fine working order, once it's opened, it's yours". The return desk girl said "Yeah, I know. But I couldn't convince him that. He's on his way back to try and convince you the same thing: That he should be allowed to return this game because it's too hard for his son." Sure enough, he comes back and stares right at the return policy while I'm helping a customer. When I'm finished, I offer him help. "Where does it say software opened can't be returned?" "Beside the third star" "I see. Well, this is too hard for my son. I want to return it." "Well, I'm sorry, sir. With the ease of damage to discs, as well as pirating/copyright rules, we can not return them if it's opened. I'm sorry, sir." " Well, it's not your fault. I'm glad to know that my son is learning not to shop here at a young age." Also, people who say "what is it" in the middle of opening a gift.

Pissed off Jersey cat chases bear up tree- twice!
CanadianGuitarist replied to a topic in General Chat
When did the bear get down again? Did it fall like that clip on PTI? -
That was a good match. Styles was really hyping up Tajiri, saying what a roll he'd been on and how hurt Credible was from Heawtwave's Stairway to Hell match that previous Sunday.

State Your Unpopular Opinions

Good call on some quality nostalgia. I bet you this is the first time I've thought about it since it happened. EDIT: After watching it on youtube, I recalled referring to his Jets shirt. Cheers, though. -
Headline News gets credit because I was a huge CTD fan around the same time I liked Weird Al. It was even freakin better that he got Brad Roberts' wardrobe and facial expressions down.

Nothing's showing up Czech. But even if it's a waste, you've received amnesty of funny because of how delicious Supplies Party was. -
C-Bacon and I both read this topic at the same time. We probably got flamed quite a bit by him. Circle of TSM Life.

NoCal, I hate em both. But my love of beer is at least satisfying my Irish ancestors.

Huh? I was always under the impression it was just a tracker inside a TV. Fill me in?

I've been saying that for years, basically since I first heard Five Man Electrical Band's Signs. Anyone who tells someone how Jesus would act out of revenge or negatively towards someone should be smacked back to reality.

Was ECW music as important to you...
CanadianGuitarist replied to tigeraid's topic in The WWE Folder
Whatever. Drain STH is a great band and their two albums are fantastic. If it weren't for ECW using it for Simon Diamond, I would have never discovered that band. Edited for fairness. -
According to Obsessed with wrestling Kurt Angle wasnt even on that show: http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/resul...own/010419.html Just out of curiosity, and not to sound like a tool, but what was so signifcant about that Invitational? Didn't he always just use a local indy wrestler?

Huh?

To this day, my buddies and I still do the Swinger/Diamond poses during his theme (Drain STH- Simon Says) Lol, it'd be a terrible song if we wern't marks. -
Here's a webcomic for you, then A similar cashiering annoyance was when people's items might get mixed up on the conveyor and I would accidentally ring up an item of the next person in line, which would lead to this exchange 1st person: "That's not my item, that's theirs. *pointing to 2nd person*" 2nd person: "Oh that's okay, they can pay for it!" Hahaha... THAT FUCKING REMINDS ME! I'm going to strangle, rape and eat the next person who tells me, while I'm waiting for the rightful buyer of a new TV to pull up in his/her vehicle, "Oh, go ahead and put that in my car". A guy who used to work with us, a now film-school grad, is working on a pilot re: his experiences in retail. That's no accident.

That's more or less the image they used for the team's shirt back in the late '80s. Subsequently, I bought the original shirt on eBay five years ago and wore a few times to school. Wrestling shirts are usually pretty damning, but just all I heard was "HEY, THOSE ARE THE BUSHWHACKERS!" whenever I wore that one. My purple Rockers shirt got more tepid or confused responses. I really thought that when I walked like a Bushwhacker drunk last weekend, that it would be the first, and prolly last, Bushwhacker reference this year....anywhere
