I don't give a fuck how people spell it, either way there's 2 spellings to it. So if your gonna complain about how I spell center, put me on ignore. My bad, didn't mean to come off as big a tool as I probably did. My apologies. Five days? That's rough,it seems to me there's a fine line between rest and rust. I can't even imagine how different the standings are going to look five days from now...

It's only happened three times with the Masters, provided the win was the tourney immediately proceding The Masters Tournament Sandy Lyle in '88 Art Wall in '59 Sam Snead in '49. Given Mickelson's absolutely dominant performance this week(save the 18th on Saturday), coupled with his past win and Tiger likely not having his heart in the tournament, I'd say Hefty may be the favourite.

Hell, the Oil could have a cloned Wayne in his prime, it's tough to imagine them beating Dallas, who are the Leafs to Edmonton's Ottawa. Also, since I kinda probably huirt CanadianChris' feelings, I agree with your avatar. They were good enough to get into the playofs last year, but you'll recall how they hit the wall when Doc got hurt. A healthy Jays team is dangerous. I'll also agree that this has been far and away the best playoff race in some time in the West. Calgary's win Saturday was a huge statement in Denver, who basically has this year before the wheels come off. Speaking of wheels coming off, Buffalo has now last 8 of 9. Rick Jeanerret has finally been calmed down a little, A customer at Walmart said, and this is an exact quote while a co-worker and I discussed that night's forthcoming Leafs-Sabres game: "They'll win! Stop the streak and make it two Monday over the Leafs again. Sorry Office Glen, but at least you have a team to root against now in Tampa, as opposed to three for the last 4 or 5 nights, RRSh, can you elabourate on this mini Canucks vacation a little more? I'm all kinds of drunk and can't read my Hockey News Yearbook schedule. Evander, you could be missing both ears. It's spelt C-E-N-T-R-E north of the 49th. Thank you. Sorry, but I'm anal about that sort of thing.

Which wrestlers have held multiple titles simultaneously in the WWE?
CanadianGuitarist replied to a topic in General Wrestling
They beat Kane and Mankind at Fully Loaded '98. They lost them in a ridiculously good Raw ME two weeks later, a four wayd dance with the New Age Outlaws, Rock and D-Lo and Kane/Mankind. Nostalgia is absolutely running rampant in this thread. -
More impressively, he lost his third straight Wrestlemania Main Event. Tell me, anyone here(by the way, I've never seen so many users reading a thread at once), that when Rey's music hit and we knew Triple H-Cena would be the main event, that you thought HHH wouldnt go over? I even callled for a DX Reunion upon HHH's winning the title. I guess not. Some thoughts: -Despite the botch, Mickie did cover up well. She's also the most beautiful woman on the WWE roster. -I'm sure it's been mentioned a number of times now, but why in God's name did the world title match precede teh Playboy pillow fight? - The 3 way dance, while indeed short, was excellent. I wasn't sure how I felt going into the match about Rey winning, (which I had thought would happen), but when push came to shove, it was pretty hard not to like what happened. Also, while Micahel Cole's use of superlatives has been rampant, he was spot on when he called Angle the best pure athlete in WWE history. -Michaels-Vince was actually excellent. I knew it wouldnt happen, but I was hoping Vince would somehow pull the win off. The spot at the end, while a little overdrawn, was impressive. -My buddy and his girlfriend came over. She asked what the deal was with all the hoopla re: Triple H's entrance. I explained that he was banging Steph(I put it much more tactfully) and always got his way. Egg was on my face a half hour later. -The dueling chants during the ME were great. The 'Shawn Fuck You' chants, while a grammatcial wasteland, were also excellent.

I didn't realize how bad it was, but Koivu's aforementioned winner ended a 23(!) game scoreless streak. Edmonton leads 4-0 late. San Jose also leads 2-1, Bernier scores one and helps on the other.

It's moot, as the Habs win in overtime for their season-high 5th straight...but I absolutely lost it upon hearing that news. Yes, I'd hold Lidstrom in that regard upon his career ending. Three Norris', a Smythe, an Olympic gold, three cups...and counting. Quite a resume. Maybe not in the same breath as Orr or Bourque, but let's agree he'll add one or two more of those trophies to his collection when he hangs it up. So, top 10 I'd say. Emery ties the record? Thats impressive, especially with the co mpany of Parent. My brother and I have been syaing since 2002 that Brodeur would break his regular season win record, but this was a surprise on paper. In practise, makes sense, he has looked pretty good. Abidint by his long standing records, the legendary bastion of good taste and tact Chris Chelios reports to his media counterpart the Toronto Sun that 14 of the 30 player reps have signed a petition to oust Saskin.

Art Ross - Jaromir Jagr, NYR Maurice Richard Trophy - Jaromir Jagr, NYR Hart Trophy - Joe Thornton, San Jose(this is still only if they get into the playoffs, Jagr otherwise) Pearson - Jagr, regardless Norris Trophy - Wade Redden, OTT Calder Trophy - Alexander Ovechkin, WAS Vezina Trophy - Mikka Kiprusoft, CAL Jack Adams Trophy - Tom Renney, NYR

1) Ovechkin 2) Phaneuf 3) Lundqvist 4) Svatos 5) Crosby I'd have re considered Svatos as a legitimate contender if he hadn't gotten hurt four weeks ago.

They don't have much of a shot either. Six points down with 10 games left. I really, really, really want to see Tampa Bay drop to eighth (assuming the Sens clinch first place). If they can keep pace with the Devils and Habs, you will lilkely get your wish, as a tie would keep the Bolts in sixth thanks to their better record. Although, if the Bolts play like they should, that would be a fantastic series. Incidentally, all three of the teams mentioned above are favourites tonight. A pretty stripped down Sens tonight, with Redden, Chara and Fisher all out. The Rangers have lost five straight in Ottawa tonight.
-
For all my talk of the Leafs maaaaybe still having a chance, Florida has now won SEVEN straight games.
-
As Pierre McGuire put it 'Have you have seen this many turnovers? They suck tonight!'. He's an ass, but he did raise a point. Chance for redemption, sort of, against Edmontom tomorrow.

Maybe I'll renege on the Ottawa thing from earlier..Montreal is 20-7-5 againt divisional opponents this year, and they did lose four of those to the Leafs.

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania
CanadianGuitarist replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Almost. I agree with most of that, but someone did hit th enail on the head by saying Harts induction was bigger than Sherris or Atlas'. So I don't see why regardless of where Bret gets inducted(which should be before Guererro) that HBK can't step outside for a smoke or whatever. Is it that selfish of Bret to not want Shawn there? Not really. How many of you have gone out to a bar with some buddies, but aasked one of them not to bring their other buddy that you didn't get along with, or something to that effect. As for the Montreal thing, Bret himself has said that no one really knows the whole story (including Bret, HBK and Vince)so no side can be exclusively right, no side can be exclusively wrong. -
I doubt there's a personon this board who wouldnt take more 4-on-4 as opposed to a shoot out. The Leafs try to keep up with a win...it's of course trumped, again, this time by the Habs and Devils win. There's no a 3 way tie for 6-7-8. Pick it up Habs, I don't want to see Carolina or Ottawa first round. Although that would be some great hockey.

Michelle Wie has been invited to the John Deere for the third year. Also, she has said she will likely not play in the Women's British Open.

Myfirst post in this thread was a semi-defence of Rory Sabbatini. I may have to renege. Anyone see the shirt his wife made telling Sabbatini's Friday partner Nick Faldo to keep up? Interestingly, she made the shirt at Walgreens, drspite the fact Sabbatini has won three times in his career and has earned close to 2.5 million this year. Faldo quipped that it was in fact, trouble in the sack for Rory that earned the shirt.

Bret Hart confirms he will not be at WrestleMania
CanadianGuitarist replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Incidentally, what was the Austin-Hogan thing referred to on page three? -
I'm about to win this thread:. My dad and I have been discussing this since 1991: January 2nd, 2034. 1/2/34 The sad thing is we both know we missed out on a much greater one in 1990: Thirty-four minutes and fifty six seconds into the day of July 8 1990, our watches would have read 12:34:56 7/8/90 Having said that, good calls. I hadnt thought of 666, and 1/9/99 was a good one too, but we'd have never seen it at my Wal*mart.

Watch the fashion show scene in SlapShot...it changes everything: "And if I can correctly read the card, Billy Charles...boys hails from, um Moose Jaw, Sask-atch-ewan Also, a buddy of Baron and mine who's almost as big a hippy as we are(although he can change colours like a chameleon) is moving to Calgary in two weeks. We've already got a pool going on how logn he lasts. -
For the first time since about a week before the Olympics, I'm not even considering taking the Habs on either of my two pro-line tickets tonight. They lost 3-1 a week ago. The Leafs can at least try to maintain hope tonight, as the struggling Devils are in Ottawa, with Volenchkov and Redden both coming back it appears. This is absolutely fascinating hockey in the west right now. I'd like any of you to tell me you don't think San Jose will get in at this point. And how bout the freakin Ducks on a roll? They cost me 100 dollars on two separate pro-lines last week, thanks to the OT win over Colorado Wednesday and the drubbing of Nashville Friday. Tonight's rematch against the Avs could be a first round match-up, but even Colorado's still not a lock. This is gonna be great.
-
The Rangers come back big time in the Battle of Struggling New York teams...somehow that didn't make the marquee. 4-2 going into the thrid, they win in a shootout. This was a probable first round matchup. HUGE game gets underway between Vancouver and L.A. momentairly.

Is he playing? Interesting, Stephen Ames was mulling over not playing in the Masters, but he will play after discussing it with his family. A pretty good tourney historically, the Bell South Classic gets underway Thursday. Phil Mickelson defends after winning an exceptionally good five-way playoff last year.
