Well, now they are... I wouldn't be surprised to see both Chara and Redden command upwards of $6-million now. McCabe will also want close to that. Two out of the three deserve it. Guess who the odd man out is? On that note, the Toronto Star implied today that Belfour and TUCKER? are on the block. How appropriate, the smiley I just used referring to a trade was named "Bonk"

Both of you are both right and wrong. It's not as cut and dry as blaming it on one source, as there's far too many. Yes, Europe is at fault for colonizing. Western nations are at fault for unfair trade practises. Just as much, Mother Nature is at fault for drought. And of course, Africa is to blame. As for hate/fear the west, I don't necessarily agree with that. There's plenty of missionary work in Africa being done, the majority of what I've seen, have been welcomed. I'm not gonna tell you to go wave a Yankee flag in the streets of Somalia. Come to think of it, Operation Restore Hope does illustrate all of our points anyway. It was hardly paradise anyway, but flimisly put together operations and miscommunications placed the allied UN forces just as much at fault as "Africa" did. As for the dictator argument, that too is also grey, not black and white. We look down our noses at a guy like Mugabe who doesn't do much to help his country, but lives in lavash palaces and beefs up the military. How many homeless people are in the States right now? By comparison, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and a 328 billion dollar military budget? I'm certainly not saying Zimbabwe > U.S., but I think that also kinda proves that Africa isn't as god awful as we make it out to be.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Scorpio/ Flash Funk the same person? EDIT: TERRY! Terry Funk! Obviously! What was I thinking? Disregard my last question. Chalk it up to being stoned ay 2am. Sorry dude. Just for fun, Charles Scaggs is his real name. Apparently he has a freakishly big penis. Anyone else?

^ Maybe Don Waddell was right. Toronto's selling on Thursday, and I just don't see Boston getting to the show regardless of what happens between now and 1500 on Thursday.

What was the deal with the Funk-Scorpio team which for some reason became Faarooq-Scorpio vs Bradshaw-Funk seemingly at the flick of a switch? Scorpio and Funk were both gone before the Acolytes started, right? Also, was there ever a Union break-up? MY buddies and I were marks for them, and despite watching Raw every week, basically remember marking huge one week, not seeing them for 3 or 4 months, then saying to one another on a July 99ish Raw "Hey, I guess they're done as the Union" when Shamrock and Mankind were on opposite teams both as faces.... Funk and Scorpio are still honestly among my five favourite teams ever, actually.

Reading the Sun is like watching Vince McMahon make a decision....six or seven different sides of the coin simultaneously. Who's gonna win the Northwest? There's still realistically four teams who can win, and Minnesota won't win, but certainly isn't out of the playoff hunt.

*grumbles. a shitty team > no hockey. What do the Leafs have that Vancouver needs, rrsh? Is Belfour heading out West that unfathombale?
-
It'll be a great playoff in the East this year. New Jersey might be the favourite, with several green teams for the dance, and the others with experience arent playing that well. Kipper with his Flames record 7th shutout of the season, 2-0. Awful weekend for the smi-surging Sharks, two losses with the playoffs near.

I can still sing all of S Club Party word for word. Call my bluff. Anyone.

Leafs now have one foot in the gutter, one in the grave. But the Thrashers are still in the hunt, four back of eighth, six back of seventh and seven back of 6th. Enter them in the Luongo and McCave sweepstakes.

There's all kinds of good defence in Oil-town right now, though how they'll react in the playoffs, especially in the later rounds is anyone's guess. I'd love to see Cujo in Edmonton again.

I dont disbelieve in it. But I don't envision myself has formerly being someone else, or becoming someone else after I die. I just don't see it. These are always good discussions. Any debate(religion, politics) that doesnt have an ipso facto right/wrong, correct/incorrect answer.

Scatman and Tatu are good ones I wouldnt have thought of. Hall and Oates, Gwen Stefani, Glass Tiger all fit the bill.

Honestly, I don't even remember who's starting in L.A....Is it still Cechmanek? If so, I don't see why he can't pull the load. I mean, he has won world championships and Czech league titles. I blame Bobby Clarke. And the nail may be in the coffin for the Leafs.

Retard really likes The Pink Panther

The real question now is which is the stupider movie out of Shaggy Dog or this. Who the hell wrote Shaggy Dog? Trey Parker? I swear to god it reminded me of "Rob Schneider is A CARROT!" -
I didn't get the name, but didn't the Chinese starter only give up one run through 3? 18-2 was the final. Poor guys. I know it's ridiculous, but I still haven't forgiven Chan Ho Park for not contribuing in my All Star Baseball '05 season.

Huge game for the Leafs tonight. In Buffalo, where they've lost 11 of their last 14. They're simply going to lose to Ottawa tomorrow night, and I'll get on my knees for every poster in this thread if I'm wrong. Thus, a loss tonight, and it's an "Everything Must Go" next week. A win, and there's hope, although the Bolts-Habs tomorrow evening could kinda shoot them in the foot.

Kinda green, though Jagr would currently head up my playoff fantasy draft, were I a GM. I'd honestly go with Weekes over Lundquist to start the spring dance. Anyone see Mike Cammaleri's first period goal? WOW.

Oh that would be so awesome if NBA Jam got released as a online playable game over the arcade. I really want Maniac Mansion to be released. No nothing yet, but if I see anything and its not posted, I'll post. Really? I posted in the 'Great Games No One Else Has Played' a few weeks ago, a buddy of mine LOVES it.
-
This was certainly impressive. Not as polished as NWO, and a little under-selling, but this was a great match.
-
I'm thrilled over the cheap Rainbow Sixes. Id love to play those again, especially after the stupid teammates in COD.
-
NBA JAM > Any other Midway game, IMO. Any other companies releasing games via Arcade?

So, semi playoff predictions? I'm thinking everyone in the East will currently get in, but Tampa will drop to eighth and bump New Jersey and Montreal up one. Ottawa will also overtake Carolina, but there's way too much to really determine positions at this point. West will remain as is, the current eight will get in.
