Excluding the Czech game( who are also reeling), there' sstill three days for Canada to work on some kind of chemistry. Without getting to omen-y, you'll recall in 2002 a fairly similar team had little to no confidence before closing the rround robin against the Czechs. There's no way Quinn keeps his job in Hogtown if Canada doesn't medal, and maaaaaybe even gold medal.

I knew you would post this. I love it, he's won an Olympic gold and World Cup, but they lose a game where they get 49 shots and can't beat a hot goalie and he's a bad coach. I thought there was a stretch in there in the 2nd period where the team played like crap and couldn't seem to get out of the neutral zone, but other than that (aside from some stupid penalties) they played pretty well. Once they juggled the lines up after the 2nd Swiss goal, Gerber might as well have been the only Swiss guy on the ice, they just couldn't get it past him. Or, at least into the net. True story: At Walmart, where I work, in early January, we had the radio on.
