See topic. I'm waiting for St. Gabriel to pimp Djibouti. Uzbekistan and Uruguay were the favourites at work...I always thought Chad didn't get much of what it was due.

I'll assume you set this one up for me to knock down: 2.5 million. One to actually screw the bulb in, the others to talk about how world-class the light bulb is. And as long as I'm naming obscure capitals, coupled with your Liecthenstien reference two pages ago, N'Djamena is the capital of Chad. Speaking of, we gotta play Jeopardy again soon.

That's it? I'm strarting to believe Point du Hac on COD2 simply can't be beaten on Veteran. I was hoping to achiveve this, as I earn gamerscore points for it. If it's only for bragging rights, well, then, fuck it. I've got a big dick, I'll play that card.

Equally fun is the name of their capital city, Baku.

My buddy and I need a bet settled: How many Royal Rumbles did Yokozuna participate in? He says both 93, which he of course won, and 96 as well. I say 93 exclusively, I dont really recall him in 96 at all.

Don "Just watch me" Waddell has guaranteed a playoff spot for the Thrashers. This is the same guy who passed over Ryan Miller, much to the chagrin of the fans chatning USA at him when Atlanta was in town on Tuesday. RedBaron and I will be doing a half-year review, probably posted by Tuesday or Wednesday. We won't do it while drunk, as we did for our college paper one year ago. I should post that link, there's at least five or six grammar/spelling errors no one seemed to notice. Barron, have you heard that spot for the Jennaerat alarm clock on 103.3 Edge from Buffalo? WAAAAAAAAAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET OUTTA BED!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the deal with Gamerscores? Bragging rights? Anything more?

Baron, Habs have won four straight games on Superbowl Sunday....They also beat Philly a few weeks ago. Failing that, I'm gettin a voodoo doll. I've seen the Jays win 60 games in a season. the Raiders win 4 games and Mike Weir go two years without winning. I've NEVER been this disenfranchised though. I'm genuinely horrified with what the future holds. But what do they do? Every writer in North America has said how much progress there's been with the Habs corps thus far, so what do you do? Cross your fingers and hope they can have a hot March? Doesn't that fuck up a lot of salary cap room if they don't trade away some big names? What happens if they don't move anyone and DO get hot in March and make they playoffs? This is far to green a team, even in the East this year.... And let's say the decision is made to move some players, regardless of whether or not they're around for the dance. Who? For whom?

Acolyte Protection Agency = Underrated.

Defence. And I know it's been said ad nauseum, but Buffalo's not this good a team. So more kudos to them. I've always like Briere, actually, and maybe Miller is for real. Huge game for the Smart Markers tomorrow with Boston and Montreal vying for sole of ninth.

Jovanovski will not break Canada's gold chances, I'm sorry. Even battered or bruised, this is by FAR the best team playing. Incidentally, will the NHL thread shut down for two eeks next month as well? I imagine there will be an Olympic thread or two, but one exclusive to hockey? Hell, I'm happy either way, lets just not have an OaO Olympic Thread.

It's called, aptly The 2006 PGA Tour Annual. Any variety store will have it. No news of a tennis one. Sorry. -
Nail on the head. No shot at Carolina, I mean, they're first in the East any way you look at it., but Ottawa and Philly have all kindsof playoff experience. Carolina has Martin Gerber. Yikes. Having said that, it didn't matter in 2002. or 2003. Or 2004. Well, you see where I'm headed. Carolina with Weight is only better, and that much scarier, espeically with the Habs in eighth. Anyone recall the end to that semi-final three years ago? Since when does Chicago need a goalie? I don't see that happening either. I'm stil not counting the B's out either.

Beat me to it...though I was gonna use Portugal. Says America the Book: "We're a lot like Australia, but with sheep and Lord of the Rings"

*cums That'd be awesome! Apart from Wrestlemanias or ONS, I can't remember being this excited for a WWE event.

Isn't Lapland a region of Scandanavia? Like made up of a certain ethnic group that live in a few different area? Chad is NNE Africa, indeed. Libya to the north, Niger to the west, Central African Republic to the south, Sudan to the East.

These make an unbelievable difference in your knowledge of a sport. It's amazing how many little stuff you can forget over the course of an off-season. I've gotten the hockey ones for the last probably 7 or 8 years, same with golf. They're ideal for writers, as well. Props for posting this, I'll pick it up. With hockey's lockout last spring, my baseball love was re-kindled. I'm going to opening day this year in Toronto, and with the World Baseball Classic, I know this is the year I get really into baseball again. -
I've bot bets with Leaf fans left, right and centre...As I do every Leafs/Habs game, but until Mccabe is back, I'll take my habs. I think just the fact that the NHL is back is the story of the year thus far. If anyone knows, it'd be you Barron. What's the story on Nolan? 6.5 mil cleared up for the trade deadline would make or break the Leafs right now, since even if they're not locked into the playoffs five weeks from now, they'll still load up and go for broke, I would think. Couple huge gams in the North East today, as Boston takes on Long Island, and the Leafs and Habs, all four teams within striking distance of eighth...And seventh I suppose, but I don't see Tampa cooling off any more to the point where April is effected.

I don't think that's exactly right. They had designated four areas because of apartheid, but no other country recognised them. Swaziland(which does touch Mozambique) wasn't among them I dont think.

It was also ruled by King Mushushu I in 1820, according to my favourite Pinky and the Brain ever.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention the forthcoming adjective drop in Anaheim, who will be known as the Anaheim Ducks next year, not the Might Ducks of Anaheim. I saw the headline on tsn.ca and was terrified it would be Los Angeles Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Boston's only two back of a playoff spot all of a sudden!

The fuck? I realise it was Russo..leave it at that? This was at least 6 months before Russo joined the company. Then I re-offer my 'the fuck?' How do you pin in a steel cage first blood?

Edmonton also traded Tony Samelainen to Chicago for Spacek. Don't forget Tarnstrom led the Pens in points last year....this is a playoff-calibre blue line for the Oil. In other NHL news, the league has expanded into....Montreal. Apparently there's a team there now. It's not so much they lost to the Sens, it's how they played against them.
