Leafsnet...er, Rogers Sportsnet suggested he could be going to Buffalo for Biron. Also, Strachan suggested Biron could be headed to Colorado, St. Louis and Vancouver.

It didn't in St. John in 2003. Still, 4-1 Canada.

Meh. Im better off without INXS. EDIT: A post announcing a triumphiant return with insults? Seems Eddie Winslow, not Mike.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't a lot of the Canadian animosity towards the US start because "friendly fire" killed four Canadian soldiers right when the Iraq/Afghanistan situation started? I remember going to games in Montreal shortly after that and the boos drowned out the American anthem. My presumption was that a lot of folks still hate America (because of Bush) because of that incident. Without allowing this to go too off topic, yes and no. Animosity did seem to rise from the Iraq thing, but we also saw a lot of pro-U.S sentiment as well. I've always felt, as far as the friendly fire goes, that these guys still have to live with what they've done. There was one report abouta year ago that a commanding office told the Yank not to fire and he still did, but if I only remember this report being mentioned once, and I don't even really remember when, it probably wasn't true. Now, let's avoid a C-Bacon/MikeSC loophole and get back to hockey: Picks for tomorrow? Russians were the Group B Favourites and Canada was considered an underdog coming in. However, they also beat Russia 8-1 in a pre-tourney exhibition.

Yeah, agreed. My grievances with your president and administration shouldnt be taken out on Jack Johnson. And to be fair, The US Team has been booed all nite unfaiirly. It would have been fair to cuss them out the last 4 or 5 minutes, but that's neither here nor there. You may have noticed the crowd humming and clapping along with Tom Connor's "Good Old Hockey Game".

Centre Ice..... This one's gonna get ugly....it's been cheapshots and name-calling since about the 13 minute mark of the third. Chris Bourque just knocked the goalie down from inside the crease for fuck's sake. Pierre McGuire with some interersting, and incredibly accurate insight: "Russia needs to keep their starters on the bench, avoid suspensions for the gold medal game. The US is doing it because (U.S Coach) Walt Kyle is a class act and he's doing it." Kyle, is however, wearing the gaudiest jacket I've ever seen.

Post-TL Hopper Tony Anthony. I thought TL Hopper was Dory Funk? Nope. Remember when they used TL Hopper to rip off Caddyshack, though? Summerslam 96. It's also my favourite movie. Todd Pettengill: "OHHHH KING! WHAT DID YOU DO!?!?!

Yes I do * * If it's practical. I know there's stuff in, say, PGR that I just won't get because I'm not good enough. But if beating it is within my means, then yes, I do.

Canada will make its fifth straight trip to the finals in a pretty entertaining game against the Fins. Russia leads the favoured States 1-0 at the first intermission. However: Unsolved Mysteries > WJHC, so it'll be the Sports Ticker on commercials for the next hour.

Apparently pouring beer and hot water simulatenously on a tattoo doesn't remove it. The Habs tat will stay on my right arm, despite the fact they fucking suck. Who lets in six goals to the Penguins?

Who would win in a match: Uncle Cletus or Uncle Zebekiah? Zebekiah, as he was Dutch Mantell, a pretty established wrestler. I'm proud to a fault for knowing that. Conversely, if you had said Hillbilly Jim as the Godwinns manager, everything changes. I honestly dont remember Cletus, just Jim.

My Host from Hell: Brent Musberger (Formerly ABC) Lead Analyst: Pierre McGuire (TSN) Colour Guy: Curtis Strange (Formerly ABC) Field Level Reporter: Gary McCord (CBS) Discuss, I'm sure we all have a few guys we hate.

This was pretty good after the match actually, the "no honour among thieves" comment and dissension. That was a blatant blade job by Cena. His hands were what, 6 inches in front of his face when he tok the chair shot?
-
Styles said "First Blood Match...First time in five years." What was the last one? I dont honestly remember one ever on Raw.

I can honestly say that was one of my first three instincts upon hearing about the Trade Centre.

I kind of hope that saying it has tainted the upcoming schedule, as they're playing the hurtin Habs next week. Hart, IMO, should be entirely predicated on a team's success. That's what the Pearson is for. My favourite Prime Minister, by the way.

If you had told me in September that on New Year's day, a young, speedy team with some talent but no superstars and a hot goalie would be the hottest team in hockey, I'd have told you without a second htought it'd be Montreal...And Buffalo's even in the same division for pete's sake!

Nah, I'll give Czech props for this one. Supplies Party was gold.

I've wracked my mind trying to figure this out, but nothin doing. Stewie is at a dinner party with someone and 3 or 4 other couples(maybe 20 or 30 years from now). They're playing Pictionary and someone keeps guessing the same thing, which Stewie blows his mind over? Anyone?

A question about Family Guy

At my school, you have to take the speech proficeincy exam as a requirement for graduation. One part of the exam was reading and correctly pronouncing words. My professor would get annoyed at the large number of people who would mispronounce a word and be told they were saying it wrong only to pronounce it the same way again. Not everyone in college is smart. Supposably? Acrost/Acrossed? Christ, those piss me off. MY EDITOR, for christ sakes, says acrossed all the time. -
Phaneuf, IMO is leading the way at this point.

I'll second WXO. Psciosis's second run I don't think should be listed as forgotten, especially since the company wasnt around 6 monhts later.
