Vaguely. I'd be fine with semi-large groups (EU, OAU, etc.). If you think about it, while the intentions are good, does the UN actually do anything? At least groups like the two I just mentioned are at least based within a member nation and not halfway around the world... The idea of a one world government, as Kotenjunge eluded to, is intriguing, but I just don't see it happening. Look at a "country" like Somalia. It's the size of Alberta and there's what, 7 different groups vying for power? Maybe in our grandkids lifetimes, though.

He was trying to help a parasailing noobie land and she wound up kicking him in the face at about 40 kMh. Apparently Hulk knew a good plastic surgeon and he pulled some strings, i.e 12 hours or so of visiting sick kids while the surgeon fixed up Beefcake. This, says Diana Hart's book.
-
That was my first instinct, but didn't that happen to Beefcake as well? What are the odds? On the other hand, his eye certainly didn't look like it was the result of a punch.

I'd love to see a team in Quebec City or Winnipeg again. But not at the expense of a team in a decent hockey town with a good history and bright future. Save the Pens. By the way, the Habs are officially a shitty hockey team.

I know this has been brought up on here before, but what the hell was with Hogan's eye at Wrestlemania 9? My girlfriend and I just watched it on the WM Anthology, but neither of us can remember it. I thought I heard Savage punched him......?
-
What exactly was the deal? Why was it said, was it in keeping with the rest of his promo? Didd he look as ridiculous throughout the rest of it? Gimme a rundown, sil vous plait? Anyone still have the vid of it?

I did say it wasn't a forgone conclusion yet, Fundamentalist Nazi. Also, in all serious, thanks again on behalf of all the teams for running things this year, it's been good stuff and made Sunday afternoons even more entertaining.

Tampa Bay at New England (4.5) Kansas City at N.Y. Giants (3.5) (9.5) Denver at Buffalo (1.5) Arizona at Houston (8.5) Carolina at New Orleans Dallas at Washington (2.5) N.Y. Jets at Miami (8.5) (3.5) Pittsburgh at Minnesota San Diego at Indianapolis (7.5) (7.5) Seattle at Tennessee San Francisco at Jacksonville (15.5) - Sooner or later, the Niners will cover.....Not this time. (7.5) Cincinnati at Detroit Cleveland at Oakland (3.5) (3.5) Philadelphia at St. Louis Atlanta at Chicago (3.5) - This one took a while, but I think the Falcons will be a lot more deflated than the Bears after both teams losses last week. Green Bay at Baltimore (3.5) St. Louis - 20 points I'll take A. Good luck to all but my NFC West division-mates Also, while it's still not a forgone, how will the playoffs work? The Superbowl, in particular, is vexing. Is it just the one pick and tie break, or will there be others to bet on? Obviously, in Vegas, there's plenty to bet on, will those apply here?

The Scott Taylor one indirectly rules all just because of the Wilbon signature, which thus far, can't not be funny. -

Are there some people that just won't change or should just eb put to death? Yep. And what does putting them to death achieve exactly, other than some primitive form of "justice"? A prevention of violent crimes happening agan, maybe? Gonna tell me Bernardo wouldn't kill or rape again? -
As long as our jokes are in poor taste Probably not as bad as the 14 year old, though.

I'm agnostic and I think Jesus (at least from what I've read about him) was pretty awesome. I have no problem with celebrating his birth. I'll agree to that. It's semi-off topic, but here's one for the atheists, if any, here: I once read a pamphlet by some religious group(Joho's perhaps?) that claimed everyone really believed in Jesus. People who claimed to be atheist were just 'choosing to deny his existence, even though they really knew better" Thoughts? Seems like, at best, petty semantics argument.

The Trix Rabbit will clean house ala Diesel in the 94 Rumble, using pent up Columbine-esque rage over the lack of Trix. Then, and only then, he'll get distracted by said kids. -
Gretzky loves him tho.... I'd like to see him there, too, but I don't envision it happening.

This has not been a good year for the Republicans.

Oh, right, forgot, sorry. In Canada, the leftist Liberals are red and the rightist CPC's are blue. Vice-versa in the States. So wouldn't all Yanks apart from Marx, here at least leaning the opposite way on a few issues? EDIT: I think I just implied Marx was an alive and well American. Wonder what his thoughts would be on this site.... -
Shit yeah. My first Spike instinct was actually vs Rhino at Massacre on 34th St 11 months later.

Why/how did the Truth Commission breakup in 98? What became of Armageddon(Recon and Sniper)? I recall JR mentioning them pretty highly in a few Raw magazines, but I only ever recall seeing them get eliminated by Kurrgan and Jackyl in the WM14 Battle Royale and then beating jobbers on Shotgun for about a month. Why wasn't Kurrgan pushed better? The Oddities were a god damned joke, and the lack of Kurrgan push was probably the only booking fuck-up in 98 for WWF. Was Kurrgan's lack of success in any way a result of the awful terms Jackyl left on?

WHo got credit for Macarena? Los De Mar or Will Veloz? *will be crying himself to sleep for knowing that. And though we haven't seen the last of them(obligatory Simpsons reference), where was Dexie's Midnite Runners?

LOTC, I'm told to try heated eggnog with cinnamon on top...OR chocolate shavings and a cinammon stivck.

Apart from Mike and INXS, aren't we all at least, Libs with a paint of blue or vice-versa? -
Fuck me, but I just agreed with the message of Cena, even if I disagree with why American troops are in the Middle East anyway. Angle's promo was in horrible taste. I think I posted this exact thing 11 months ago, subbing Foley for Cena.

I laughed like hell at that. Anyone else know that Christmas was made illegal in old school England (170o-ish)? And just out of curiosity, is there any reason why an African-Canadian couldn't celebrate Christmas or Kwanzaa?

I second all you said, except for the first sentence. Is it a detterrent? No, but: Are there some people that just won't change or should just eb put to death? Yep. Also, and this answer surprises a lot of people: I've also felt that while criminal stances should be toughened, lets agree that at worst, most of them have at least a mother who would rather see them die with a little dignity than get their ass kicked upon leaving prison. Double underline the "Hippies who are pro-penalty" and tag me with LOTC. -
Flunked out of said CC. But pitcher were 10 bucks at campus bar and I've got a job in the journalism industry now anyway.
