Drunk dad lets his 7 year old son drive his van.
CanadianGuitarist replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
This happened in Wisconsin in 1997 with a 7 year old girl. Norm MacDonald commented on it on Weekend Update: "This once again proves that women just can't drive" -
Best matches involving non-wrestlers!
CanadianGuitarist replied to Epic Reine's topic in General Wrestling
Why wouldn't the NFL thing fly in this day and age? I realise wrestling will never be held in the same regard as football, but given all the bad press football's gotten in the last 6 months or so (cruise ships and the like), how's any kind of publicity gonna hurt? Wrestling's more, for all intents and purposes, alot more respected than it was in 1996, even with it often being less than stellar. Plus, p retty well every week there's at least some football players in the audience on Raw. -
Who came first? Right Said Fred, Vanilla Ice, or Frankie Goes to Hollywood?

Does EA's 06 have the slam-dunk contest? I'm told, as far as last year's go, that 2k was better, but the slam dunk contest alone made EA the better buy. How does it work? Is it like, say, 1080 Snowboarding or the like where the more co mplex the dunk, the more buttons and control twirls in a set amount of time? My pick is either NBA Jam TE or Hangtime for N64. As far as basketball games go, I've always preferred the arcade style games, though I suspect that's basically because I'm a pretty casual baskteball fan.

Meh, semi makes sense with the popularity of the Tycoon-type games. Having said that, and I do love running franchises and the like in sports games, I'd still rather be able to play 16 game of football. The franchise mode is the icing, not the cake.

Wow. I don't know how I didn't add Heatley. He'd be, right now, my first pick. As for Briere: Captain in 2010. Mark these words. In hindsight, maybe we don't need a checking line, but we'll need at least one checking centre I would have to think. Even if not, we'll see plenty of grit and likely more than one power forward. Bertuzzi? I'm iffy on him, actually.

I always liked the NFL vs Wrestlers Battle Royale at WM2. -
I'm certainly in again for next year, please. Chicago at Pittsburgh (5.5) Cleveland at Cincinnati (12.5) Houston at Tennessee (6.5) (7.5) Indianapolis at Jacksonville - Took me a while to pick this one. (3.5) New England at Buffalo - How big a game could this have been three weeks ago? (2.5) Oakland at N.Y. Jets St. Louis at Minnesota (7.5) Tampa Bay at Carolina (5.5) (7.5) N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia San Francisco at Seattle (16.5) - How many times have I picked the Niners this year, hoping they'd cover but knowing they wouldn't win? I almost did it again, then remembered week 2. (3.5) Washington at Arizona Baltimore at Denver (14.5) Kansas City at Dallas (2.5) Miami at San Diego (13.5) Detroit at Green Bay (5.5) New Orleans at Atlanta (10.5) St Louis - 16points. Good luck, all.

True about them never reall yplaying on the same line, but I think Lemieux is doing wonders for Crosby mentally and keeping him level-headed.

Gagne-Sakic-Iginla was money in 2002...why mess with success? Although the suggestion of Heatley and Spezza with Iggy gave me wood. I'd like to see: Richards-Lecavalier-St. Louis Gagne-Sakic-Iginla Tanguay-Spezza-Crosby Thornton-Madden-Smyth The checking centre role leaves off Marleau, unfortunately, who I've always liked. Smyth represents everything good about Canadian hockey, IMO. THough he's kinda cooled off, Staal should be the 13th forward. I'm a bit worried that Crosby won't be as good in Turin without Lemieux. Assming this team gets in, only 3 of the forwards have Olympic experience, which is a bit iffy, although everyone has some kind of international experience, be it Juniors, Olympic or World Cup. There's a few interesting questions of who has played their way on/off the team. As my dad said when we had this talk last week "Well, shit, this is a great 'problem' to have".

SummerSlam (name some good ones)
CanadianGuitarist replied to Naked Snake's topic in General Wrestling
Gold. 98 was the first thing I thought. Every feud was covered just enough and well-built throughout the summer. I'd say 98 was wrestling's best year. '02 was also a good one, but 91's probably my favourite ever as far as pure wrestling goes. -
Does anybody remember this?
CanadianGuitarist replied to LaParkaYourCar's topic in General Wrestling
? All I can think of is the enema thing, and that was Pittsburgh, wasn't it? I always liked: "Know why they call you Stone Cold? Your stones are so cold, you won't come out here and face me!" -

In retrospect, there was no need for the quote in my previous post. Summerslam 96 and Roberts/Lawler was one of my first thoughts actually.

Raw was pre-empted for about 40 minutes last night, and coupled with a 14 hour day of work today, I waited to post until tonight....in this very thread. Ramblings: *Most of the court stuff was forgettable, if not briefly entertaining. * My MSN name is currently "SHUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT UP! I mean, um, overruled". A buddy of mine has the Ashlee Simpson line. *The Edge segment was pretty good, Hayes stole the show IMO. As an Edgehead, I'm a little less than impressed by his credibility: It takes an eye rake from his 5 ft girlfriend to beat up to 60 year old 250 pounders, no disrepsect intended. *Hayes' promo was absolute money. *If they're exploiting Flair's legal trouble, doesn't that kinda push the HHH-Big Show thing to the back burner?
-
I laughed for probably 5 minutes during the McMahon thing Monday: "I was just listenining to Ashlee Simpson." As if that wasn't good enough "Christ, she succccccccccccccckkkkkkkks."
-
Yeah, even I from a mark standpoint was hating Edge, and I'm an Edge=head. Hayes was great though, once he got out of the 'you kids have no respect' cliche and started really tearing into him.

This is also happening in Boston's town centre: The Christmas tree being put up is being referred to as a "holiday tree." Thoughts? Personally, while I don't find "Merry Christmas" posted to be offensive, I could see how it could be construed that way. A Holiday tree, however, is something that doesnt exist. Either call it a Christmas Tree or don't put it up. I'm siding with the former, and our regular posters know what a hippie I am.

This'll be mostly WWE-exclusive, I've only watched TNA since about early-November Wrestler of the Year - Samoa Joe Feud of the Year - WWE vs. Good Taste Match of the Year - MITB Ladder Match, Wrestlemania Best Brawler - ? Best High Flier - Mysterio Best Tag Team - America's Most Wanted Most Underrated - Chris Masters Most Overrated - Cena(not exclusively now, but throughout the year when people didn't know any better ) Best Promos - Heyman's shoot. Nothing even close. Best PPV - Wrestlemania 21 Worst PPV - No Way Out Most disgusting promotional tactic - The Low Rider incident. The JR thing really didn't bother me all that much, since he had mentioned wanting to leave anyway. (I'm not letting them off the hook, though).

When else did Eldrick win? 2000? One would think, as that a much more dominant season than 1996.

Interesting debate from Ottawa

Link? Not that I don't believe you, I'm just intrigued. He is, as you know, a big blubbering vagina. -
Seconded. Also Matsui and Favre.

Lance Armstrong or Tiger Woods.

I really don't see Bischoff leaving...if for nothing else, for Vince to occassionally show up and stroke his own ego at Bisch's expense.

Hell, if Darius Kasparitis can be a captain, who could we really rule out?
