Marlins officially declare they are seeking...

Portland does make sense, to me, actually, maybe to re-built the reputation of the town after all the stuff involving the Jail Blazers. They've also been trying to get the Penguins for years from Pittsburgh.

I think the "shortage" is a lot of hype. EB in Niagara Falls, ONT, told me yesterday there's a shipment of 45 coming in early December, and then regular shipments in January. Even if that's not entirely accurate. I still think this shortage isnt as dire as we're being led to believe.

Does anyone like actually going to the games?

I actually prefer sitting about halfway up, you can really appreciate some of the little things players do on the ice you don't see on television. It's a lot more interesting watching the play develop.

    X-Mas List...

Excluding the Foreman grill I asked for last year(and even that was under extenuating circumstances), it'd been six years since I'd outright asked for anything. This year, I asked for the Bret Hart DVD, the books One Magical Sunday and What's My Name, Fool?

Lead singer of KoRn commits suicide?

When did Pat Morita die? I realise it wasn't yesterday or anything, just curious. And god help us if people somehow saw Davis as a martyr.

Jesus, I wish. Fantastic game in Calgary tonight, as the Oilers pull off a 2-1 shootout win. Edmonton dominated the first period, but Calgary came back strong in the second and third. Overtime was a heart attack waiting to happen, and the shootout was scoreless until Fernando Pisani won it in extra shooters. By the way, guess whose fault the Edmonton goal was? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whom?

Tell me about it. I was this close to calling in sick to work last time the second to most recent time the Habs lost to the Leafs. I also had a fuck buddy over that night, a Leafs fan. We haven't spoken since.

Good weekend for hockey (and sport in general) on Pro-Line, to all Canucks here. Pro-Line pools is only nine games for hockey tomorrow. Take advantage.

God dammit, they're not gay...neither of them work, it's a miracle there's not six people living in that apartment to make rent. I'm also curious as to who's at the kiddy table in the kitchen.

Montreal's hardly taken advantage of what should have been an easier week than most: A less than stellar New Jersey squad, a routing by the Crapitals(tho the Habs didn't play awful), and a shootout win over the Thrashers?

An interesting dispute last night in front of the aforementioned "other city Walmart". A communication breakdown between our store manager and the overnite leader resulted in Geoff, the overnight guy(who's a cunt at the best of times anyway) handing out tickets early, at closing(10 pm) last night unbeknownst to store manager Dave. When someone came at 730 am to wait, they received no ticket. 10 pm guy shows up and says "you need a ticket". 730 guy says "Thats not what Dave told me". Fist fight ensuses. Two other 730ish arrivals are frightened off by this legit brawl. The two taker-offers don't come back. I get this relayed to me in a phone call at about 1030 am. And I freakin haul ass there on my lunch break. Irregardless, I still need the hard drive, which we're expecting by the weekend(gravy, since I can't afford it now anyway).

Agreed. I was ashamed to start waiting in line an hour before hand, which as it turns out, was moot: No layaway means no 360 for me as of yet. Fortuantely, I've got a potential understocking in place at the Walmart I work at in another city. On the plus, I did bump into an old college buddy, meet a barrage of colourful characters, and have 500 bucks with which to go drinking.

    If you were Wayne Gretzky

Agreed, I just found it interesting. Brodeur will be roughly 867 kajillion times better without the trapezoid. It's a thing beauty watching this guy play the puck.

Not if we told you before you pre-ordered the system that you wouldn't be getting it on the first shipment. We told everyone who pre-ordered the system after the first shipment that they wouldn't be getting on the released date. Thats why I would laugh if they got mad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, he's right. Having worked in retail for 9 years, people will take the opportunity to bitch at any given chance. But you'd be in no way at fault, especially if you gave them forewarning.

There are a lot of rumors going around apprently. The 400 version best to my knowledge is going to be around for awhile. It's not a limited time offer. Through I wouldn't expect it to stay around for all that long. It's funny the other day some kid called my work and had no idea what the 360 harddrive was for. He kept asking me if you could burn a game to the harddrive and never need the disc again to play that game. That it would be saved to the harddrive itself. I ended up telling him no, the harddrive is so you could save your game progres, music, and Xbox live stuff. He was still confused and didn't understand. I ended up asking him if he already owned a Xbox and he told me he did. So I told him, well does your Xbox harddrive save entire games? He said no, so I told well neither does the Xbox 360 harddrive. He then again asked me what the harddrive was for? I sware to you he wasn't joking. After a bit of repeating myself I got him off the phone.........he called back almost 3 hours later asking the same question. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tell me about it! A grand total of 9 times in 23 minutes, these two kids, prolly 11 or 12 asked me and Duncan, the oither guy that I worked with that day, the difference between the bundles and what each and every item did. NINE TIMES!

Jones Soda(if i'm not mistaken) also had Halloween themed drinks. I had caramel apple and candy corn, which reminded me of Guiness: Pretty heavy, not bad in flavour, but an awful bitter aftertaste.

    If you were Wayne Gretzky

Seems worth noting that everyone's kinda solid 1-2 picks, Brodeur and Theodore, are, this far: 25th and 38th in GAA and 38th and 41st in Save perecentage.

In (dis)honor of AD being cancelled

    1) Seinfeld 2) Drew Carey- Just so many good liners about food and drink... 3) Fawlty Towers 4) Curb Your Enthusiasm 5) Family Guy Incredible honourable mention to Newsradio, The Newsroom and Mr. Show, which I haven't seen quite enough of to qualify on a favourites list, but were certainly good for a few belly laughs. The Simpsons, sadly, is tainted by it's last 4 years, which can't be called un-funny, but strike me as different as previous years. I'm not sure if I can include This Hour Has 22 Minutes , Daily Show and Conan, which have certainly been responsible for some brilliance. I was considering SNL, but see The Simpsons.

Vancouver over Anaheim 3-2, and the Ducks drop their eighth straight away from The Pond. I was calling them as a darkhorse, too. Of course, Fedorov being gone kinda signals the beginning of the end. Nonetheless, Burke's a freakin genius, he'll fix things up sooner or later.

    A WWE off-season

I'm surprised no one quite mentioned this, but I think a month and change off would also be good for the writers, allow them to maybe cement some definite ideas and not so much stuff that had a 'slapped together' feel. Not to mention how hard it must be on families who have husbands/fathers on the road 250 nights a year. Would this apply to TNA? I've only seen em a few times, but they just have the one taping a week in Orlando, right?
