Comments that don't warrant a thread

Here's a good debate that won't quite warrant it's own thread: How much does he owe Noel Prefontaine? I say 25%...buddy who won had NEVER, according to the Toronto Sun, kicked a fieldgoal before. Prefontaine spent the afternoon helping him learn, and Pref makes about 50 grand a year.

    Getting Revenge At Work

My brother was a cook at an Italian place, and he knew he was on thin ice. He told me that one day as I dropped him off at work, and he said "I'm sorry, did you just call me a liar? I really hope I can say that, I'm bound to have the chance soon" He forgot to...when I reminded him, he let out of a hell of a moan.

ESPN searches for the next World Series of Poker..

I didn't think I'd get this much support for curling, especially when you factor in how many people can't believe I watch golf every week faithfully. I really don't consider it to be slow paced, and a great curling shot can be indeed pretty freakin exciting. Anyone here ever curl? It's both really hard and remarkably fun. That makes it a lot more entertaining on television. In addition, the close cameras will often really capture the emotion we don't see al that often in say, baseball TV coverage.

    NFL Week 8

With New England having something to prove after a loss two weeks ago, and a week off, playing a team who probably lost a lot of momentum in the Bay on Sunday? New England by about 30 on Sunday.

    Forever Hardcore- The Documentary

I'm actually as a big a mark for Paul E as I am for ECW. It's like loving Jesus as much as loving Christianity. Subsequently, I'd feel badly watching this if it's a semi-burial of Heyman.

If there was one PPV that defined WCW...

Starrcade 1997. So much potential, so much talent and complete ineptitude and disapointment. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My first instinct as well, not even necessarily focussing on WCW's downfall and ultimate demise. Though I was a pretty casual(at MOST) WCW fan, there was just so much at Starrcade and it just didn't live up.

    Your personal killer apps

I'm not trying to one up you, but I will: My mom got me ECW Anarchy Rules knowing I loved ECW, but un aware of my video game system. I subseqently traded in my n64 to buy a ps1.

Ever see the bwling skills challenges? Where they'll throw like 3 balls at once, or sidepsin it through 2 or 3 chairs? Pretty sweeeeet. Darts? I'd never go for it. And I watch golf and curling regularly.

    Rosa Parks dead at 92

I also think she may have indirectly got woman's rights movements of the 70's going...hearing about her getting mugged in 2001 was probably the saddest story I've ever heard. Although, and this isn't meant to add humour, there was an Unsolved Mysteries about a man who was slated to inherit an astronomical, life-changing sum of money, who ultimately wasn't privy to it, as he couldnt be tracked down due to being homeless. That, too, was genuinely depressing.

I hold her in the same esteem as MLK Jr. Maybe higher.

    When you shave

Right on both counts. My first was an electric, and I thought I'd never use a blade until they were handing out free Mach 3's at college. I never went back. Interestingly, the electric in question went missing the following day. I haven't seen it since(3 years ago and change).

Did the same thing at a bar. Probably hadn't watched wrestling more than semi-casually in 3 years before that nite. Even said the exact same thing verbatim.
