Here's a good debate that won't quite warrant it's own thread: How much does he owe Noel Prefontaine? I say 25%...buddy who won had NEVER, according to the Toronto Sun, kicked a fieldgoal before. Prefontaine spent the afternoon helping him learn, and Pref makes about 50 grand a year.

I didn't think I'd get this much support for curling, especially when you factor in how many people can't believe I watch golf every week faithfully. I really don't consider it to be slow paced, and a great curling shot can be indeed pretty freakin exciting. Anyone here ever curl? It's both really hard and remarkably fun. That makes it a lot more entertaining on television. In addition, the close cameras will often really capture the emotion we don't see al that often in say, baseball TV coverage.

I also think she may have indirectly got woman's rights movements of the 70's going...hearing about her getting mugged in 2001 was probably the saddest story I've ever heard. Right on both counts. My first was an electric, and I thought I'd never use a blade until they were handing out free Mach 3's at college. I never went back. Interestingly, the electric in question went missing the following day. I haven't seen it since(3 years ago and change).

Did the same thing at a bar. Probably hadn't watched wrestling more than semi-casually in 3 years before that nite. Even said the exact same thing verbatim.
