I'm sure this has been brought up, but what's the record for worst record to win a division? San Diego's gotta be close.

Holy cow. Tell me they don't look exactly like Uecker and other guy.

WHAT That's the most insane wrestling-related thing I've ever read, and that's saying a LOT. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is that Harry Doyle and Monty whathisname in your sig? You'll recall he actually refered to him as Monty Whathisname in the second movie.

WCW wrestlers acquired by old WWF in 2001
CanadianGuitarist replied to IWD's topic in General Wrestling
Dropped? Yes Like a rock? No. On topic, I could see Vince being more inclined to bury guys like Hogan or Goldberg, than say, Booker or Eddie. I mean, every time he and Bischoff are on screen together now, it's a pretty big ego trip by Vince. -
You'll notice the Habs logo flag in my signature, trumping the Leaf thing you eluded to. It's also tatooed on my arm. Who gives a shit? I was an idiot for being so ill-fated. Is that what you fucking want? God damn, enough shit disturbing. You're a better fan and better person than I am. Way to go.

You've got a lot of letters to write to Maple Leaf fans if you think everyone who gets dishevilled is not a true fan. MOVING ON: Bit of a surprise, 17-0 Denver shortly into the second. I've actually had RAW on though.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit glum over this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> but you sorta act like an idiot about it. they won't be 0-16. they are actually playing well, just a few mistakes here & there. plus don't misrepresent yourself by giving your tie breaker as oakland. you are st louis in this game. let me take the team to victory here, at least. stick to the rams, and complain about them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll admit I dropped the ball on the St Louis thing this week, my bad. My theory on the 0-16 thing is set the bar low and you'll never be disappointed with the result.

Using a colour to describe an emotion, say green with envy or tickled pink? Doesn't it have a name? I keep wanting to say onomatopoiea, but I realise isn't it.
-
Is there a broad term for colour idioms?

Hurt was my first instinct. I'd forgotten all about Darkest Days, which was traditionally my depression album. Comfortably Numb can also do the trick when called upon. Upon further review, hell yes.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit glum over this.

I am capable of buying new pants without help.
CanadianGuitarist replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in General Chat
Mission Accomplished! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I marked for that thumbs up. Also, i just tried on a pair of pants for the first time since April. I've put on too much weight to fit into 3 of my 5 pairs. -
Thanks for the concern, but my cute pick was the negative point thing. I sincerely don't think Oakland will score much more than 6 this week.

Who is the greatest Tag Team
CanadianGuitarist replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in General Wrestling
This is a little more work tallying than I expected, but expect to see 8 teams in a single elimination bracket. I'll post the first two matches around midnite tonite. -
Was wrestling better or worse without the IWC? Not the quality of wrestling or stories, neccesarily, but were you more or less of a fan 10 years ago? What makes it such a debate, I feel, is the element of surprise. It's easy to say "Oh, pre IWC for sure, there were no spoilers or surprises." At the same time, how often was pre IWC wrestling a series of squashes and promos, saving for a huge PPV. Then again, the huge PPV and marquee theory could shoot any post-IWC argument in the foot. Thoughts?

Nor will my inability to pick winning teams.

A quick bump to keep things moving until tomorrow's deadline. Only 24 hours or so to vote for the preliminaries. -
Is Bischoff winning the title in two weeks?

Is Bischoff winning the title in two weeks?

He wins, far and away. Even though I wouldn't mind seeing it. I hate Cena, even long before he was so stale. And the spinner belt enrages me. -
It should be indeed. This, along with a long overdue Solheim Cup win might develop some more interest in women's golf. (Anyone else remember the brief boom in Canada when Lorie Kane won a tourney in 2000?) The point about her potential success/failures is something only time will tell. I mean, she's clearly contended in LPGA events, but she really needs to make a quality name for herself on the women's side before she should be playing on the men's circuit. I think it would reflect poorly upon women's golf if she missed too many cuts on the PGA side. Having said that, it's a matter of time before she wins a few on women's side, and we could see a big four or five on the horizon, like we do with the men, which is what makes it such a great time to be a golf fan.
