I did a similar thread about 3 months ago, with 'favourite sports moments'. What thus far, has been the most memorable sports moment? What has been the biggest disappointment so far? I'm gonna say, and this sounds ridiculous, but I was merchandising a little mom and pop variety store and I heard 'THE NHL LOCKOUT IS OVER' on the radio. Failing that, there wasn't much to dislike about the wonderfully entertaining Super Bowl, the AFC championship, or Phil Mickelson's second major win, and certainly it was certainly great to see Jack Nicklaus birdie the final hole of his career. On the opposite spectrum, while these are kinda shitty answers, everything involving Terell Owens this off season, and Mike Weir's disappointing 2004.

As a white, skinny Canadian(well, I've got a big beer gut, but small frame), cut Barron some slack..... I tried, Bob.

He did win a cup, and represent Hogtown in an All Star Game. I'll remember him most as a natural leader of an up and coming Sharks team, tho.

This begs the question of who was the bigger WWE ball-dropping? Vader was a legit world title threat and among the best big men we've ever seen, certainly the best monster heel I can recall outside of Andre.(and yes, that includes Yoko.) So, who'd the WWE drop the ball with more? Vader? or Batista? Of course, you could easily blame it on HHH or the Kliq.

I actually learned it in a book called 'What's Your Sports IQ?' Came out in 1991, I read it in 94. The first time I remember it being mentioned on TV was when Bret Hart lost a cage match to Sid on Raw in March 97, he mentioned something about VinnyMac having some kind of backstage authority.

Terry Fox, one on leg, he got from St. John's, Newfoundland to Thunder Bay, Ontario. That's fucking heroism.

God yes to Knight Rider.

I was just thinking about Moore this morning, without even hearing he had written Bush. While there's no question I agree with most of his message, he's a self involved, attention whore and a hypocrite. Iraq has nothing to do with Katrina, no reason whatsoever to bring that into this mess. And while maybe he's right about being able to prevent, or minimize damage from the levee cuts, I'll give Bush the benefit of the doubt:(and this is blatantly hacked from The Daily Show last week) Saying Bush could have prevented the damage is like saying you support child molestation if you purchased Michael Jackson's Thriller in 1983.

Spike to replay Impact on Monday Nights
CanadianGuitarist replied to TNABaddboi's topic in TNA Wrestling
This will certainly make things interesting for TSN, who I believe will be showing Monday Night Football at 9, and following that with the midnite Raw replay, as they've been doing since what, 98? Edit: 1000th post Meh. I'm actually pretty indifferent. -
Well, I guess because it's a kind of upstart promotion that has a bit of a cult following, about to make a splash against the big two(or the big One in this case)
-
Sorry, but what exactly did West say/do? I don't have sound on my computer, and Myers looks more befuddled than shocked.

TNA can't be the new ECW. Nothing can, and while I am one, this isn't meant to be to markish or fan-boyish. ECW just had a certain aura to it that wasn't, can't, nor will be duplicated. Maybe he's referring to the 'renegade promotion' aspect of it.

I didn't notice last time I was there, two or so weeks ago. Arby's Curly Fries > Sex.

Roundabout-Yes Welcome to the Machine or Have A Cigar-Floyd.

I didn't say they were. I just said it was parallel.

1) Campaign style commercials when there's not likely to be an election for, at least, 4 months. 2) 1989-1993 Average Income 1999-2003 Average Income While I'm no economist or mathemetecian, isn't 59.9 more than 51.4? 3) And not a BETTER FUCKING PLACE TO LIVE? I'd personally rather see, you know, safer streets in Toronto, the deficit paid, cancer cured, homeless people with places to stay, than say, another McDonald's or HSBC branch. I watched that commercial as unbiasedly as possible, but, come on? I can't be the only to have noticed what I mentioned.

Are they the same as Toad the Wet Sprocket? I came across a Toadies CD which featured 'Possum Kingdom'. Now, I swear I remember having a guitar mag from 1996 featuring a Transcription to Possum Kingdom by Toad the Wet Sprocket. If not, what did The Wet Sprocket do?

Who is the greatest Tag Team
CanadianGuitarist replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in General Wrestling
This isn't a completist tournament. I don't think any of those could ever be considered the one of the best tag teams ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Also, he forgot the Ding Dongs. -
A girl I know, I've been calling her angel since an incident involving me being stoned in our drama class four years ago. I'll often sing 'Angel' songs at her, this is ideal. Perfectly acceptable song. Pretty good driving tune as well.

It parallels Y2Jerk's theory that we should take a ridiculously Liberal idea, say Jesus said it, and watch the right implode like Peter Griffin's yes man. God damn I shouldnt have loaned you that book, Baron.

Who hadn't quite frankly? If i hadn't read what you just wrote, I never would have double checked. That's a bad sign as I have to proofread at work all next week.

Theodore signs with the Habs. Theodore signs with the Habs. Theodore signs with the Habs. I can sleep tonight. They could have signed fucking Jarome Iginla, I'd have had no faith in em. Theodore is the heart and soul of that team.

While it's not the most technically sound, I enjoy watching Vader's the most.

The Score is reporting Broduer says he is expecting Scott Stevens to retire.
