I never realised the up and down year Vladdy has had, 225 in July and 468 in August thus far? Pardon my stupidity, but what's the deal with Schilling closing in the first place? Just to get him back to throwing regularly after a DL stint or something?

"Real American" was the worst video of '86 on MuchMore's Back In 86. And we probably wouldn't like it if not for the nostalgia fact. Having said that, saying Hendrix is better than Derringer is like saying Elvis is better than The Honky Tonk Man.

Huge series in the Wild Card Race, a 3 game set between Toronto and Anaheim(sorry, I won't say LA). While Anaheim does have the AL West Lead, Oakland will win the division ultimately. With 3 teams between Toronto and Anaheim, this could shake the Wild Card Race up pretty substantially, especially since Toronto swept three weeks ago.

I'd hit it. But only in the exact scenario pictured.

I once had a chance to say, after a car accident: "No rear view mirrors. No speedometers. No side mirrors." "That's true. Funny enough though, radio still works, clear as a bell" My dad also jokes that he's most proud of me for a Caddyshack line I once had while working at a video store. Hey, how do you get a membership to rent? "Well, I'll guarantee that you'll never be a member here." Naturally, I couldn't get a "Member, you think I'd join this crummy snobatorium? This place sucks. That's right it sucks! Only reason I'm here? Maybe I'll buy it!"

1) There are worse people the government can give a bunch of money to than scientists. 2) Think of space as an untapped natural resource. 3) The technology we develop for space travel has multiple applications for use on Earth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All points made have been valid, but there's still that pesky cancer to deal with...

* still doesn't see what the appeal to space travel is, especially when the money invested is considered.

4 stick in my mind: April 1997: 1) Bret Hart turns his back on the American fans, cutting one of my 3 or 4 favourite promos ever. 2) The Hart Foundation reforms the following week. May 1998: McMahon arranges a streetfight between Funk and Foley. Foley wins and re-pledges his alliance with Vinny Mac. June 1998: Probably my favourite Raw ever. A great D-Lo Brown/HHH match to further the Nation-DX feud, an awesome ending with a HIAC confrontation with Kane, Mankind, Taker and Austin, and best of all, a Tag Team Royal Rumble with I absolutely loved.

As for your avatar Baron, there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like Toronto. *sniff sniff sniff* Who's the player to beat for the Ross and Hart trophies right now? I'm caling for Iginla to take the Ross, Khabibulin to take the Hart.

What's unfortunate now is that since Woods made the cut, we are going to have to endure endless comments like "well if he shoots 62 or 61 he's right back in it!". I hope Mickelson goes out tomorrow and posts a sub-66 number to end any speculation of Woods being i it on Sunday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Get used to it. He's even for the tournament with a par 5 left to play. He'll be likely minus one and in the clubhouse before the leaders tee off, seven shots back. Get ready for an afternoon of "Well, if Mickelson or Kelly stumble, Tiger can shoot a low round tomorrow....." -

I'm almost used to pulling so hard for him just because I did so hard until April 11,2004. Even with the win, he's still my favourite after Weir. -
Yankees-Sox. I bleed Hab red but don't really hate any other team.

I don't remember Life being so gross growing up. -
Yeah, but Limp Bizkit isn't unlistenable because Fred Durst is a cocksucker, Limp Bizkit is unlistenable because they're really really bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's almost correct. Their lack of talent, IMO, is just money in the bank. But I can't help but crank up Pollution or Behind Blue Eyes when it comes on. Over the long haul? Not a fucking chance, though.

Nothing at all. It was stupid, but I cried I laughed so hard at some points. Yep. Pootie Tang, Deuce Bigalow, High School High and Shaun of the Dead. -
With his hands, I'd prefer he give me one. Barehanded last nite? Play of the year candidate.
-
They play for Florida, right? Pardon the ignorance, but I gotta keep my eyes peeled for this on Sportscentre now, as you said, how often will i get the chance to see it?
-
I remember that Raw pretty well, I think his 'drunkenness' was actually a scripted dis-interest in the match.

Symptoms include...? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thinking you can save the world, much like bono. Not to diss eddie, cuz i like pearl jam. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, that sounds about right.

Hal Johnson and Joanne Mcleod. Hey, more hockey on TV is more hockey on TV.

What exactly happened? I worked late and missed it, but anticipated a hell of a rubber match between Lackey and Harden. 5 run second inning off a guy with a 2.05 ERA in his last five? The fuck?
