I don't remember that either. Oh well.

Teen kills himself as online

^ Where's that painting from again? It was an answer on Jeopardy last week, but I can't remember. Also, this. -
I see the Patriots beating Pittsburgh anyway, but it's still a must-win for the Ravens. They should beat Cincy: Take away the game against the Giants, the Ravens are still complementing their d with 35 or 40 points a game. Realistically, as you said, the Colts and Pats are going to be the two wild card teams.

My brother has the same name as the guy who signed Claude, and "Prince Rabbits" is one of the best team nicknames I've ever heard. If the playoffs started today, it'd be Pittsburgh and Montreal. In theory, that'd be an awesome series.

I don't remember licking it off the floor....which I suppose doesn't disprove you. I do recall off the tables at After Hours and the peelers, possibly on the same day.

The Simpsons Character Draft
CanadianGuitarist replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in Draft Faggotry
Let the shortlists and second-guessing begin: I couldn't find a picture of Alex Trebek, which contributed to my not drafting him. I also had The Who, Keith Richards, and all of the ballplayers in "Homer at the Bat" on my list, specifically Wade Boggs. I can't explain why, but the way he said "How ya doin?" when being introduced was hi-larious! -
Stuart Scott looks like Cookie Monster. It's enough to detract from previous Carlton Banks comparisons. I don't mind Jamie Campbell, even if he was an awful Jays homer during the year. But you're spot on about Don Taylor. Who the hell gets fired from a video game? He's just too over the top.

Chiu blames Casey. Since we can't take that to the bank (for now) - awful PP, and the poor performance of Kovalev, the Kostitsyns, and Plekanec: Sooner or later, they have to turn it around.

I've done this, but never sober. I don't recommend it. Even during the infamous "Canal Days beer buffet" of 2003, I was horrified of finding a cigarette BUTT or what God-knows-what, a la Spaulding in Caddyshack.

That's the steal of the round, I'd say. -

I just wanted to use that Niger please thing. By the way, Bamako is the actual capital of Niger. I'd have fuckin' ruled on Carmen Sandiego. -
I might take you up on that - I'm already hoping Chris removes the murder stipulation from the death pool. If the two brothers don't step it up by January.......I won't get started on that. Oh, it's gone. This could be fun. I'm actually thinking that the first person to kill someone on their list wins the pool. What, really? A TSM Mob might take out Fred Phelps.....or Glenn Beck, to piss of Marvin. We're that god-awful.

The road to urine: beat the shitty Chiefs, the demoralized Chargers, the crappy Texans, and the resting Buccaneers. IT COULD HAPPEN. God damn! He's right! Won't happen. I don't want it to. They stumble and bumble their way to a 56-10 loss in the wild card? What comes of that? Nothing. I've had this debate with every Toronto Maple Leaf fan on the planet - as much as I'd like to see the Raiders make the playoffs (in theory), this is a rebuilding team. A playoff berth, which is a stretch, means the right to lose to the Ravens, Colts, or an AFC East team of your choice, and the loss of a draft pick. I said this at 7ish, but I'll say it again - doesn't anyone else think Tom Cable looks like John Goodman? Speaking of things that won't happen......I really just had a hunch that San Diego would win tonight. My last comment on brash playoff picks, since I'm drunk, Jim Mora is my favourite person to quote while drunk: Playoffs?! You kiddin' me?

This week's? More like "My haphazard thread starting". This is a great concept and has brought great discussion to the folder, but "this week's" is being awfully generous. -
Add me to that list. $200 for a Blu Ray player is a bargain, but it's still 200 dollars.

Chocolate City? And since any financial gain went out the window with Washington not covering the spread - hey, Oakland won a game! In all seriousness, I'm delighted the Raiders beat a divisional rival. I didn't see any of the game (oh, how I miss Sunday Ticket), but 31-10? Surely they couldn't all have been field goals and defensive touchdowns. This also keeps the door open for my stubborn prediction of San Diego getting past Denver in the West. In the preseason, I stated a hope of a 5-11 season, and that seems reachable now after some baffling moves by the front office, not the least of which was hiring John Goodman to coach.

Three in a row. Wipe the sweat off your brows, NFC West. Edit: Maybe not, with San Fran winning and one of the two other divisional opponents undecided. Still, the playoffs are on the horizon, even with not much gas left in the truck.

It was, but for some reason, I wondered how a "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" about this thread would go.

I can't find a picture, but Simpsons Tom Brokaw is awesome. "And we laugh legitimately! They're a colourful bunch - a mathematician, a different kind of mathematician, and a statistician." -
I might take you up on that - I'm already hoping Chris removes the murder stipulation from the death pool. If the two brothers don't step it up by January.......I won't get started on that. I know it was pretty well luck, but if Tom Kostopolous is scoring your game tying goal, and no one is scoring in the shootout.....edgy, edgy times for this Hab fan. It's not like my Raiders, who are so committed to losing it's fun. It's giving up too many shots and god-awful powerplays. Edit: Did Matt Young edit in (sic) rather than correcting his mistake?

I didn't review the first page, but was nothing made of the USFL-like fourth quarter in Cleveland? Who the hell is Kevin Kolb? I know Philly's been a trainwreck and probably shouldn't be the measuring stick, but take away last week's snoozer - Baltimore's scoring 35 a game!

I go into the afternoon and primetime games needing only one right out of five to lock up a win. Not the start I was hoping for.

Board's updated - I'm offline for about 24 hours, but business as usual while I'm gone. -
The power of the stache! The Sens certainly don't look like a slumping team this afternoon.
