    Bad Games That You Love

I didn't think it was that bad. I'll second Nagano. Everything Baron said was accurate. But there's curling!

    Weirdest sports injury?

This got loosely started on the TWIB thread, but what comes to mine? Sean Antoski, formerly of the Canucks, once missed some time. He had a plate in his head from a car accident. His dog drank some toilet water that had some kind of cleaner in it, and the dog passed out. Antoski administers CPR(or possibly checked his heart), which caused the dog to kick Antoski in the head, leaving him on the shelf for three days.

Subway getting rid of the Sub Club

Mr. Goodcents is where it's at! anyone have one of THOSE around? fuck a whole buncha Subway...I ordered a meatball sub on ITALIAN bread through the drive-thru...got home, those bitches gave me white bread... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what they call white bread man. Did you mean the italian herbs and cheese or whatever? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, that's the bread I had in mind, anyway! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't Subways Italian Bread a crustini bread? No less than four within a 10 kilometre distance of my place. All offer 2 footlongs for 5 bucks. My brother, with whom I live, sincerely suggested last week when I went to do groceries to buy just breakfast stuff and we'd eat subs every day.

    Formula One disaster yesterday.

And where, pray, is this Montreal? Can anyone name that?

Now that hockey's R&D camp is over

What needs to be changed? Rules on the ice, practises off it, etc. 1- Market your stars. Everyone knows who Michael Jordan and LeBron James are, and we pretty frequently see jerseys of them being worn. The NBA are masters of doing this. 2-Exploit rivalries. Edmonton-Calgary, Detroit Colorado, Leafs-Habs, Chicago-Boston. Take full advantage of the emotion seen when these teams play each other. 3- A quick look at rule changes: Yes, to the shoot out. Ultimately, I don't care for it, but I seem to be in the minority. It is exciting to an extent, but I feel it'd wear thin quickly. I would like to see ties gotten rid of some how, but again, I seem to be alone on this. Yes to tag up off-sides and no touch icing. No debate here. Leave the lines where they are. Leave the nets as they are. Think about it. Watch a game with two teams you're indifferent to. Let's say, for me, Nashville vs Phoenix or whatever. Walker and Hartnell are on a 2 on 1 on Dave Tanabe. Hartnell passes over to Walker with a wide open one timer. Keeping in mind you don't care about either team, which is more exciting? An incredible save by Boucher, or a goal by Walker? I'd say the scoring chance. A good scramble is always entertaining. IMO, the key to bringing fans back is creating more scoring chances and good PR work, not necessarily more goals. And by the way, I don't believe for a second all the Canadian fans who say they won't ever watch another NHL game.

    Trailer Park Boys, Season 5

Can anyone give me a rundown of what happened? I missed it, but I'm told, no surprise, that Lahey was gold.

    Steve Corino question

That's about right. He said in a promo at GAC '01 "I went from being Rhino'a manager, to ending the American Dream, to being the ECW champion, all in one year!"

God no. Stop playing Blades of Steel. I take that back, that game did kick ass. But no, thats kindda bunk. Maybe serving two full minutes, regardless of PP goal or not. But if you lose a fight? That's sily.

Douche Mark Buehrle makes ridiculous accusations

Did that remind anyone else of "Who is Mark Jindarak?...I...I don't know"?

    What faces in wrestling

Anyone remember the incident with Hogan/Warrior after a match against Perfect/Genuis on SNME? Ventura: "I TOLD YOU MCMHANON! THESE GUYS HATE EACH OTHER!" McMahon: "NO! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Ventura: "THEIR EGOS GOT IN THE WAY!" McMahon: "DON'T YOU DARE, JESSE!" I was going somewhere with this. But I'm drunk.

Now that hockey's R&D camp is over

I don't mind the idea of descreasing pad size. If they need/want more scoring chances or goals, this seems to be the best route to take, as opposed to drastically changing the rules or make up of the game.

Ever get stuck bad in a video game when

Koopa Park tourney in Mario Golf for N64. Dammit all to hell, even today, I'm struglling with it. And it's not quite on the same scale, but I could never beat my friend Matt at NES Open for old school NES. I once had him two down with three to play. He forced a playoff because I played it overly safe, just as I said I would. Proceeded to lose the playoff on the third hole when he made a ridiculous putt, and I missed a stupidly short one, because, as I called, I played it too safe. That was March 2003. Had him on the ropes again in May 2004. I'm charging hard down the back nine, even stuffing one for ace at 15. We're at a party, where everyone is singing along to the Darkness' "I believe In A Thing Called Love". I plead with them to shut up while I line up a crucial putt on 17. They don't. I three putt and lose by two. Didn't listen to the Darkness for close to 6 months after that.

Best album made whilst in jail

The only one I could come up with was Scott Weiland's 12 Bar Blues.

Which wrestler, dead or alive, past or present but

My Ultimate Card, with at least one inactive in each match: Bret Hart vs. Curt Hennig Owen Hart vs. Kurt Angle Chris Benoit vs Dynamite Kid.(I'm told they had a few matches in Japan) Terry Funk vs. Sabu(Let's assume Funk's retired). I would have said Tanaka vs. Awesome one more time until last Sunday.

Last great deal you got on games/system

The Communist N64. Red Baron, myself and a mutual friend threw in like 25 bucks a guy at a used game store, woun dup with an N64, 10 or so games, mem card and 4 paddles. And we've shared pretty well. Radioactive Man #1 hasn't been an issue.

    Favorite burgers

hell yes for Licks. Mom and Pop always trumps Chain, but since there's no In and Out in Canada, I feel a little left out. Philly Mick was going to serve In and Out for the 2005 Champions Dinner, as was rumoured.

i question how true it is. But I laughed my ass off. And I use that expression, um, loosely, given the context of the story.

    This Week in Baseball

As a Jays Fan, and mostly a follower of the AL Easy due to geographical restrictions, does anyone else think Hinske is overrated? We're expecting him to be as good as he was in 2002. He's not a letdown, but he can't match 2002 again. Just my nickel with three pennies back.

    Beer

As a Canadian alcoholic college aged kid: YES! Drink as much as you can. Remember the Bud here is differend than the bud brewed in St. Louis. Plus, you'll sleep much better. It only takes a shot of Kool Aid the following morning and you're good to go.

Who deserves to be a World Champion but never has

Can I get away with saying Jericho, whose Undisputed champ reign was pissed away? Other than that, no current wrestler jumps to mind.
