Sold 20 copies today at Walmart in Fort Erie, Ontario. That's absoultely unheard of for our store. By comparison, we sold maybe 6 copies of OC Season 1 on its first day, which is generally our best selling box set,

It has a classic steel cage match between Bret and Owen Hart, Alundra Blayze and Bull Nakano had a good match and Razor Ramon and Diesel had an entertaining match. The rest of the card is passible except for the Undertaker/Underfaker match. Can't believe I forgot the Hart cage match. Some mark I am.
-
Even with the awful Undertaker-Underfaker match? Sell me on it, please.

But it's much more fun to hate the Yanks. Incidentally, I think Bugs Bunny was playing the Yankees on that one Looney Tunes where the batter used the fuckin tree log as a bat. Talk about carry-over of hatred.

Meh. It's not like the U.S never broke the Geneva convention before. But in this case, I'll refer to the case of 'two wrongs making a right'.

Didn't see em, or at least don't recall em. However, if Leslie Nielsen was in them, they were funny. Nuff said.

They gotta work out it out by mid-June. No US TV deal screws about 15 teams. They also need a draft. Some new exciting players would, in my opinion, be the best way to improve the league's image. Crosby and Ovechkin can put asses in the seats.

in any sport? No team in any sport will ever win eight straight like the Celtics did. Sam Snead won eight times at Greensboro. Tiger's got four at Bay Hill and three at Firestone and Muirfield. Snead's might fall. No one's touching Jack's 18 majors, though. No, not even Tiger. No one will ever go +128 in the NHL again. I'm not even all that confident Gretzky's 50 in 39 will stand. I can't see anyone stealing 128 bases in a season either, as Rickey Henderson did.

Tiger's win by 15 shots at Pebble Beach in the 2000 US Open actually isn't the record for winning margin in a major championship. The 1862 British Open I believe was won by 18 shots and I'm sure that record isn't coming down anytime soon. He won by 13 shots. Woods 15 shot margin is the Major record. Explain to me how the Open Championship is not a major. He wins.

What exactly happens when Martin asks Clarkson to dissolve Parliament? -
He had one MVP award which he didn't deserve. He never won a ring. He was always a borderline elite player, rather than a truly great one, even in his own time. Sure he was a star in Utah, but over the scope of the existence of the NBA, he's nowhere close to being the second greatest scorer of all time. Truly great? Definitely. Elite? Perhaps. Second greatest scorer of all time, even if it is statistcially true? No freakin way.

Question period coverage begins in about 10 minutes. This could be big, boys and girls. -
UPN moves Smackdown to Friday Night
CanadianGuitarist replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Altogether? On The Score, which broadcasts it in Canada, it's just the 11pm replay moving to Friday. They didn't say anything about the 7 pm broadcast. -
Most hard luck player on your favorite team

You could make a case for Reggie Miller depending on what happens tonight. Knicks fans are about to send me molotov cocktails, methinks. -
But it's asinine to debate his talent.

That appear in a signature with the team logos on 'em? in advance.

That sounds like old people, alright. -
I'll admit it. I'm now officially terrified of the Yankees. 10 in a row is trouble.
-
I disagree. Better goalies, more trap, less pure scorers(although the last one's debatable). This one may fall. No one will come close to Gagne.
-
CI's the only one who thinks this. You tore a strip off him already, and you were right to. Let it be.
-
Agreed. Also one of my favourite current names in sport.

Interesting, to say the least. The Official World Golf Rankings, I find, to be a little too what have you done for me lately. -

What, you WANT Layton to commit political suicide? They're the only party right now that's improving their image. Holding a gun to the government's head would flush all that down the toilet. I don't see that happening. Liberals will survive Thursday's vote, with help from the NDP, and, yes, even a few CPC's who just want to get some work done, which hasn't been the case for the last year. Danny Williams has been trying to get CPC MP's to vote for the current budget, which needs to pass. It's pretty good, everyone benefit's actually. Small tax cuts, more foriegn aid, more for health care and schools, and even more for the army. And as Scott Brison pointed out today, remember how Liberals are crooks and poor managers of money? 8 straight balanced budgets in Canada. -
Was Hogan in any commercials, other than the Right Guard one in 1991? I've wracked my brain coming up with a list of wrestlers in commercials, and I've only come up with the four discussed here.

And I've got RedBaron in my evil army. Piss off Barron, unless you're busting my balls. Though I am deeply respectful of your avatar pic. On topic, there's no debating Gretzky's talent. As for the rule about not hitting them, well that goes for every superstar. It's an unwritten rule in hockey today. See Steve Moore to illustrate that point, not that I'm condoning Bertuzzi's actions. This, however,is very off. The NHL has never marketed their stars well enough. Even today, they need to market their stars better when they do come back. Look how many people have LeBron James stuff, and still have Jordan stuff, even those who aren't Cavs or Bulls fans. People who are indifferent to hockey or casual fans really need to know how good a power forward like Iginla or Forsberg is, or what great leaders Messier or Yzerman are, or even how good a shooter like Naslund, St. Louis or Nash is. That will save hockey. I'm not saying we'll see Naslund jerseys on every white boy gangsta the way we see with basketball jerseys now. But it'll help.
