Elabourate?

No, I really didn't miss the whole point of the thread ... I just think that it's astounding that a hockey fan would hate Gretzky at all, especially for no reason. It'd be one thing if someone had a reason (like I said, Oilers fan that was pissed about the trade, or a fan of another team, say Calgary, that lost to the Oilers so many times ... something like that) ... that'd be a legit reason that I wouldn't scratch my head over. But to just say, "he's a pansy and I hate him" strikes me as strange. As they say, different strokes for different folks, I guess. Not you missing the point, Idol did. I'll beat him at Forza tonight.

Exactly. Not that Credible was bad, but Storm clearly deserved the push in that team.
-
Nope, he likes Lemieux. Interestingly, we argue every time about this...If he can get away with saying Gretzky sucks because he doesn't like him, I should certainly be allowed to get away with saying HBK sucks, which I don't think, while I do hate him. After all, Gretzky wasn't on a script. Missed the whole point of the thread...For No Reason whatsoever.

Anyone remember the 1-800-Collect with Austin and D'Lo? DLo hit a guy with a phone in a match a few weeks later and screamed "Save a bundle by using 1800 Collect fool!' I mentioned it in the 'funniest moment in wrestling' thread. *Tries to come up with pun about bad wrestlers, 1-800-Collect and Arquette. Grossly off topic, but, Aaron, is it fruity for my Toyota Border MR-2 in Forza to be purple?

Vote Passes recommending Libs resign

That hasn't been true for years. Next. Oh. I renege. But anyone who thinks Global isn't ridiculously slanted might as well be deaf, since clearly they can't hear. -

You've gotta be fucking kidding me. I'm not dignifying that with a response. Have you watched Global News or read The Post, both owned by the Aspers? The point I'm stressing about the Iraq thing is that the platform the Conservative use is that they'll be responsible with money. Well, there's a conservative running the show in the States. 450 billion dollars in deficit over a 18 month period is hardly responsible. See the point I'm making? You should have earlier. Try reading our posts as opposed to just wearing your blue goggles. -
He's not bull shitting, I know him, and he pretty well mentions it every time we talk about hockey. He does like Mario, what's not to like about him? Loyal as hell to Pittsburgh and not earning eight mil a season somewhere else when he easily could be?

But it's all good, because Harper is a robot and Martin would never stoop so low as to take advantage of a crippling disease for political gain. Oh wait, he did. Several times. His soucres must be Global....which as we all know, is fair and unbiased....as fair and unbiased as Fox News. Just because Crehtien was a cunt, don't hate the Liberals. Nope, can't see any good coming from no gay marriage, free health care or gun control. Idiot. The CPC have still given me no reason to vote for them, except for ideals with which I disagree and a shotty platform of "Liberals are crooks." A dishonest politician? Well, I never. How much did a Conservative gointo debt on Iraq in the good ol' U S of A? 450 billion? Yep, Canada should elect them. Wait, we know better. -
There's a big difference between the best college player and the best pro prospect. You're right an awful lot, man. This, for example, is one of those times. Cheers. And, what the hell,

Released today, in, of all places, the Toronto Sun, which could easily be called the Anarchy Times. In Toronto: 41-Liberal 31-Conservative 19-NDP 10-Fourth party/undecided Hammer/905 40-Liberal 35-Consevrtaive 20-NDP 5-Fourth/undecided Niagara 38-CPC 36- Liberal 20-NDP 6-Fourth/UD Hope it helped. I'm drunk. -
Topic. It seems to me they've been banned before and came back days later.

By process of elimination it's: Liberals-Democrat CPC-Republican -
I'll second that. Hogan, HBK and Austin take the win place and show, however.

A guy my brother works with says it was one of the top 5 moments in Canadian sport. It doesn't make my general top 10, but it is my number 8 in exclusively Canadian moments. To Yanks on this board, does a Yankee winning an NHL award make you feel more pride as an American?

Who overachieved the most? I'm expecting about 200 responses of JBL, but who else? Did Billy Gunn really deserve 7 Tag Title Runs and a King of The Ring? Considering Bret, Owen, HHH, Austin, Angle and Lesnar are all KOTR champs, I say no. On that note, add Viscera/Mabel. No business any higher than upper midcard. And from a booking standpoint, I mark out for monster heels. I'm also fully aware I mis spelled overachievers in the topic.

No, I'm not an Albertan. Do I have to be one to be upset over corruption? Corruption exists on some level in every government, but it's not a reason to turf a government unless there's a credible alternative. The Mulroney PCs were one of the most corrupt governments in recent memory, yet they got reelected in droves because PEOPLE AGREED WITH THEIR POLICIES. Once the Liberals brought a coherent platform to the electorate, the PCs got booted out. Truth be told, I really don't give a shit about the sponsorship scandal as it pertains to the actual government. I look at it as the price of doing business with modern government. I ask more important questions, like whether the economy is in trouble due to the government (no), whether spending is out of control (no), whether taxes are too high (not really), whether I disagree with the government's stance on social issues (no), and whether anyone else could do a better job (definitely no). If I answer no to all these questions, why would I want a different government? Brav-freakin-o. -
See, I'm a Bruins fan ... the Kovalev one HELPED my team; the Ribeiro one screwed the B's over. If the B's had actually won that series, I'd probably have to start including Kovalev in my "love" list. Well I'm a Habs fan, but I've forgiven Ribero. Not the case for Kovalev, although we won so hindsight is 20-20 I guess.

If it weren't in L.A I'd be blatantly abusing my 'freelance sports writer' press pass.

I kinda hoped you meant something else by bald.

Yes, heaven forbid Canadians wouldn't want an election only a year after the last one, especially when the result will be the same anyway. Why didn't you mention Hitler and get it over with? It certainly couldn't make your hyperbole any more foolish. Exactly what I said about 5 or 6 posts up. One's got nothing to do with the other. I don't see any dictators waiting in the wings in Canada. Come on. Insurgency, 2000 coalition troops killed, it's not safe whatsoever, no power or water, looting, riots, violence. I'm not saying it would be better off with Saddam, but it's really not any better now. When did I say we were better off without the States? Go ahead. Find it. I dare you. But I speak to so many Americans who tell me they don't need Canada, which is also bullshit. And I didn't call you any names. That's just a sign of pettiness and a lost argument. -
I think I'm still more bitter at Kovalev. Ribero's wasn't in double over time.

God forbid we actually keep our sovereignty intact and further ourselves from being America's lap dog. That's just too funny, but I expect that from you. OMG~! We have to tell the US to fuck off at every turn or we'll lose our sovereignty! What fucking tripe. Clearly I have more faith in my country than you do, and see no need to shore up my pride in my country with vehement anti-Americanism, or pro-Americanism for that matter. I disagree. It's Bush's fault relations are "down", if they even are. Who closed the border to cattle? And softwood lumber? Rejecting left right and centre, as you put it? Hmm. We declined to send troops to Iraq. By the way, how are things in Iraq working out? Declined missile defence. Now the Yanks have to let Canada know if missiles will be flying over head. Gee, why would we want to know that? (Not that the defence system isn't totally without merit, to be fair) If we were really rejecting America as you put it, would you guys still have power? Or oil? Nope. But you do. 79% of your imports are from Canada. That hasn't changed. I really don't feel any differently about the States than I did five years ago. I don't like Bush, but I don't feel that should get in the way of relations between the two countries. Why should I vote for the Tories because of some money the Grits pissed away? Now, by no means am I letting them off the hook, but why would I vote for the Conservative Party? First off, have you watched Parliament over the last two or three weeks? They're just squabbling and trying to bring the government down. Considering they've been going on about the sponsorship scandal for months, they don't seem to mind the idea of wasting another estimated 350 million dollars for an election they won't win. That seems hypocritical to me. Second, it's absurd for me to vote for any right wing party when I don't believe in their ideals, just because of a shitty job the Libs have done. And they haven't done a bad job, either. True, they need to be punished for AdScam, but I believe Paul Martin when he said he didn't do anything wrong. I don't believe him when he said he didn't know it was going on, but Chretien was likely the real culprit in all of this. Even so, it's ridiculous for me to vote for a party that I don't agree with. I support gay marriage, mulit culturalism, public health care. The Tories don't. Now, make a case for me voting for them. Red Baron, this one's for you: "I disagree, you redneck fundamentalist". (Not a shot at anyone personally, an inside joke with the Baron, who, by all accounts, isn't very good at Jeopardy! And fuck off about Luxembourg, I know every African capital. And what's the deal with Mike and INXS getting banned? Cyber slapping war? Didn't they get banned a few months ago, only to be back days later? -
Actually, they played each other in the semifinals '78, and again in the 2nd round of the '79 playoffs, the Habs sweeping the Leafs both times. A lot of people will tell you that's the Montreal Canadiens with 24 Cups. The Montreal AAA won it in 1893 and 1894. That's why Jodi Vance can get away with saying 1915 in that Quizno's commercial, when the Canucks started play in the 1970-71 season. It was the Vancouver Millionaires in 1915, of the PCHL.
