You could concievably have a list of all cops or all teachers and have it be awesome: Joe, Wiggum, Barbrady, etc. -

To clear up any confusion, this is TakerHart's pick: James Woods "I'm off to fight aliens in a far-away planet." "That sounds like a good movie" "A movie. Yes. A movie." Board's updated. Keep on top of the PM's, please. -
Is it true that he and Lawler don't get along? I don't remember where I heard that, but the only memory I have of either of them mentioning the other was RR2001, during which Lawler marked out big time. Arguably, one of the top five heels ever.

We'll probably have a "Religious Gods and Deities" draft sooner or later. This God will probbaly go first. -

It seems my not updating the board with Leopold (who was on behalf of Brooklyn, via his PSP) threw things off a little. Board's updated, Taker's on clock. Have a look. I'm still pissed about Mr. Black, by the way. -
Man, if we got really angry every time someone died, we'd all be very very tired. I don't want to be a part of a TSM that doesn't (or never had) a death pool. That's quintessential smartmarkery there.

I didn't go anywhere near this game on Pro*Line. The Habs should have won in theory (success against the B's, back-to-back games for them in two cities), but I just had this hunch. My Mr. Burns principle "The one who always screws up..well, he's due for a good performance!" is a blessing and a curse.

My guess is the quick turn around between Milky's picks. Cowboy is correct, it's his pick. I didn't update the board after Brook's pick of Leopold, however. -
Mine was shepherd's pie - a lot of the kids don't like turkey. The ironic thing is that my Dad always hated shepherd's pie as a kid. Circle of life, I guess.

Hey, let's continue today's trend: I'll be kicking myself in the balls on behalf of BrooklynZoo. "Alright, you little freaks! Here's one substitute you're not gonna SCREW WITH!" -
^ He's on his own. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about the Habs right now, nor negative about Bruins. Fuck the Patriots, I'm 0-1 for the week, but that's for another board. What's going on in San Jose? Or, more accurately, with Calgary, who're down 5-0 25 minutes in. This will (likely) be their sixth loss in their past eight. Even the two wins were by just a goal after opening up big leads.

Yeah, there's no rule that says we have to help (in the tech folder, not at Best Buy). It's good karma, I think.

Cocksuckers. Every last one of ya. I'd have picked the shit out....*dubbed* Mr. Black! Cocksuckers! -
Where is this new logo? Everything looks the same, unless I missed something.

How does that work? In that context, "blame" sounds interchangable with "attribute". I'm good, but am I plaque good? No.

Terrible Moments in TSM History
CanadianGuitarist replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in No Holds Barred
Its uttery hilarious. I was on vacation that week so I missed out on all the "fun" and speculation. After I posted it, I couldnt sleep, so I got to page 30. I may just read the whole damn thing to retrospect on it. But basically so far its been... "RIP Benoit" "Double murder suicide? it was obviously Nancy" "Benoit murdered his wife and kid? Cant be true." Thats as far as I have got. It can be summed up in four lines. You have three of them. The next is any of the "What songs...". Particularly memorable was CanadianChris' answer of "Anything by Slayer." I can't remember the context (whether CC was making an awesome yet cruel joke, or if he was giving props to our regular poster, who esentially does the same thing constantly*), but either way, it's quintessential TSM. *But not as often as he digs up obscure TSM history. -
YES!

No, we don't, quickdraw, which is why I changed the header from "TheSmartMarks.com" to "TSM Forums" about fifteen hours before your post. Hogwash. I still think of this as a wrestling board, even if I, and the bulk of regulars, don't care much for wrestling any longer. It's tantamount to changing the name of a sports team for politically correct reasons, except it's nothing like that at all. Hey, since I'm running the Simpsons draft: "All students please report to the Butthead Memorial Auditorium. Dammit, I wish we hadn't let the children name that one." It's TSM! I don't want to come three times a day to "Terrific Semen Munchers" or something. Edit: Well, I suppose TSM is kind of a halfway, but I like my rant.

Raw from May '07 at the ACC. I'd been meaning to put it up forever, and cleaning up my PC 18 months later was what jogged my memory.

The Simpsons Character Draft

I had a list of twelve too, that I began piecing together after I ordered the draft. I knew I wouldn't get Homer or Burns or Moe, so I ordered them realistically. I don't think this will be as backstabbing (for lack of a better word) as a sports draft, since we all have favourite episodes and forgotten characters. I've mentioned a few times a specific one-timer that I should have taken three rounds ago, but keep putting off since I don't think anyone will think of him. The episode draft could result in some mutiny. -

I didn't notice my PM until late tonight, so I just went ahead and picked, conveniently after your time anyway. BUT, by the looks of it, CanadianGuitarist accidentally PM'd me instead of you. Shit, that's right, I remember looking for your name in this thread to link to. Sorry, Al. Unless you had planned on picking Mel, it all comes out in the wash. Just to confirm, Raheem's your pick? -

Yeah, Mel was picked about five minutes after your window closed. Am I missing something with Sideshow Raheem? -

My one-timer that I've been putting off can wait one more round. This one's too good too miss. Remember when I was kicking around the idea of a special guest to pick for Rando in rounds 3 and 4? And I had a line that I didn't want to use for fear of name dropping? "A special celebrity draftor has been lined up!" "Well, my brother said he'd do it!" "Sorry, but Ernest Borgnine's already been confirmed!" That evil laugh when he's trying to convince the kid not to cry - gold. Conan and Frank Grimes were excellent picks, and you couldn't have found a better picture for Grimey. -
Terrible Moments in TSM History
CanadianGuitarist replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in No Holds Barred
This. It was almost like someone hit a switch - TSM went from showing a rare moment (or few hours) of humanity, to almost instantly, becoming TSM again. Good times. Further to that end, in the "How was your 2007?" thread, someone replied with "It was a rough year for me, considering the deaths of Chris Benoit and Sean Taylor." Czech's rebuttal of "Wow, posting for you here must have sucked this year." kind of summed it all up.
