The Simpsons Character Draft
CanadianGuitarist replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in Draft Faggotry
Snowball should be two cats, I & II. The idea that the Simpsons had a previous cat was established in episode one. The 3-5th ones were just one really stupid episode which I absolutely hated. Good point. I also don't remember Coltrane, so I shouldn't really be disqualify it. The Snowball III-V was a great episode, save Lisa's storyline. The fighting robots had some of my favourite one-liners in any episode. "Can robots feel pain? If so, we are horrible, horrible people." -

I'm really leery. Obviously, each one of us could probably cite two or three "well, I can't believe someone else thought of him", but I've got five or six guys to choose from, and I have little faith in any of them lasting. All of this despite my surprise in how long Hibbert lasted. Groan. Shoulda picked him up. Snowball is one cat. -

The same what happened to you? I don't quite follow. I'm drunk, which may account for something, but, yeah. -

Fuck that noise. Everyone and their dog sang that last summer. I still haven't seen the movie (even though I got it for Xmas) almost entirely on those grounds. Good pick. -
I just watched the first ONS from '05. Who was Mike Lozansky from the 'ECW Remembers' segment?

Hibbert's the one I was stunned was still out there. I completely missed Lovejoy, but in hindsight, that's pretty surprising as well: "Is it wrong for a man to steal a loaf of bread to feed his family?" "Well, no, but it is if he puts anything on it. Jelly, for instance." -
I don't think I'm done, but awfully damn close; big chance this week. NE/DEN/CAR/PHI/CHI/IND/TEN/KC/MIA/NYG/MIN/SF/ARI/SD/DAL/BUF Rams score 19. Good luck, all.

I only saw the second period, but a pretty good game by the Habs tonight in a 4-0 win. Auld didn't have much chance on Higgins' two goals, and though I missed the replay of it, he may have been screened (or probably just didn't see, based on its speed) on Guilliaume's rocket. Good work on defence, hard work on the forecheck, and Price looked solid. That's better after a trainwreck game on Saturday.

Welcome BlackFlagg to the mix, taking over for Rando. -
NY Jets at New England Denver at Atlanta - I can't quite put my finger on why I think Denver's going to win now. Maybe the little extra rest from ten days off. They also had a big win over Cleveland, and I think that keeps them one step ahead (figuratively, not just in the standings) of the potentially surging Chargers. Houston at Indianapolis - Indy's definitely back on track; Houston's played them tough the last few games, but I like Indy this week. Tennessee at Jacksonville - Jacksonville's definitely better than their record. Doesn't matter. Oakland at Miami Baltimore at NY Giants - Close, but the Giants are still the cream of the crop. Detroit at Carolina - Shaky in their win over Oakland, but it's still Detroit. Philadelphia at Cincinnati Chicago at Green Bay New Orleans at Kansas City - This one could go either way...the nail's definitely in New Orlean's coffin if they lose. Minnesota at Tampa Bay St. Louis at San Francisco Arizona at Seattle San Diego at Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh could have definitely won Sunday, but I'm still iffy on a questionable Rothlisberger/Leftwich start. I think San Diego's in good shape. Dallas at Washington - A returning Romo gives Dallas enough boost and momentum to avenge their Week 3 loss. Cleveland at Buffalo - Cleveland's gotta be starting to doubt themselves a bit. Buffalo can breathe a little easier being at home and not playing a divisional game, and despite the losing streak, are still only game out of the division lead.

2000 people won. My payout was $205. Expect some Koab-like posts over the next few hours.

^ I don't know how I feel about that. The replay clearly shows a "oh shit, what did I do" look on Kostopolous'(sic) face after he hit van Ryn. That doesn't make up for it, but is three games too many? Too few? I feel discipline should be based on intent, not injury (but that's a whole other can of worms). With that, he didn't Dale Hunter him, but it was still a hit from behind, regardless of how van Ryn was positioned along the boards. Three games seems fair to me. Welcome to the NHL, Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers (that name reminds me of Denis Lemieux from Slap Shot). Impressive win last night over the Devils, and a win in a shootout over hockey's best team tonight at MSG. Oh yeah, fuck Mikhail Grabovksy.

Since I just won anywhere from $500 to $500,000 on this game, I was obviously looking at it biased. I'm celebratory drunk, but the theme I'm getting from the last dozen posts tells the story of how I'd feel if I'd watched this game objectively.

The Simpsons Character Draft

Sorry, Al. I've eluded to a recurring character who I'm surprised is still out there. Well, if he/she could last four rounds, they can last five. I'm going to go with a lesser regular, but one I prefer. It's not that the first guy is scum, I only consider him scum compared to Krusty. Luigi Risotto. Yeah, you see how you scum. -

Yes, since I said Rando; I don't know where you got Scroby from. -

So, after mulling it over...Black Flagg will take Rando's place if Rando misses his fourth rounder. That may sound a little harsh, but, conceivably, his Round Four window may not close until Wednesday morning. This'll find its way into the first post with the rules, but anyone who misses two straight picks (or three altogether) will be shown the door. -
I knew you meant against Jericho, I was just throwing it out there. That notwithstanding, he can't stay face for long, he's got a great wormy heel look.

My dad and bro and I have always had a thing for "Top 5's" (but not like John Cusack in High Fidelity). The most debated has been Homer's injuries. All of us agree that Bart hitting Homer in the back with a chair while Homer's in the bath is a top fiver. -
I'd be bold enough to say I liked Christian and Jericho as a team more than I did Christian-Edge. He's a great character, and his stock was nearly at its highest when he left for TNA. There's plenty for him to do.

I overlooked Sideshow Bob, whom I was shocked about. Still, I'm very surprised by one regular who hasn't been taken. -
Wendy's New BBQ And Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
CanadianGuitarist replied to Chazz's topic in Food Folder
I really liked the Buffalo. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it tasted much less fast food-y. I wanna say it wasn't breaded, but that doesn't sound right. The actual chicken in it was very good though.
