Wow. I always thought his stats were higher. To answer Czech's question (upon reviewing his career stats), yes. This is the first I remember of him being outspokenly unhappy, but only once in seven seasons as he cracked the 80-game plateau. He's averaging a little fewer than 70 a season, which isn't Colaiacovo levels, but that's still a dozen games missed. MORE APPROPRIATE STATEMENT: Marion Gaborik is hands-down the best player on the Wild. His leaving would be a huge blow to an offence that's already not one of the league's better. To wrap things up, since Paul Newman, star of Slap Shot died today: "Who own CG?" "Ownnnssss! Ownnsssss!" Here.

IIRC, Dok Hendrix was in the ring to interview somebody, and he was given a bloodbath (remember those?) by The Brood. Since the Hardys were feuding with the Brood, Dok became mentors to them as Michaek Hayes.

Good calls on Anaheim and Minnesota. I didn't think of Anaheim as an aging team (My first association of Anaheim is guys like Perry and Getlaf) but once I really looked at the roster, they're getting old....to that end, however, Schnieder's gone to Atlanta, but I didn't see for whom. From what I'm hearing out of Minnesota, (as if they weren't going to be shaky enough offensively losing Rolston and Demitra), Gaborik's fairly unhappy as well. He's arguably the best player in the league when healthy.

I don't usually notice signatures. I had no idea that was Matt Young. -

This probably doesn't (or shouldn't) qualify as 'honourable' per se, but I always thought it was cool when Lori Fullington would get involved in Sandman's matches with Rhino in 2000. Invariably, she'd wind up being nearly gored, and two examples are what predicate my post: Sandman pushing her out of the way, and Sandman lifting her up over a charging Rhino. I was a huge mark for 2000 Rhino. -
Let's Talk About...The Decline of The WWF Tag Team Division
CanadianGuitarist replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I'd like to offer something, but first: I wholeheartedly agree with two things. Slapped-together teams piss me off, as do teams being put over in handicap matches. What could work and kind of serve as a buffer, would be stables. I've always liked stables, and think they add a great dynamic. Plus, it means reasonably legitimate tag teams. To illustrate, one of my favourite matches ever was Taker-Austin vs. Kane-Mankind vs. New Age Outlaws vs. The Rock & Owen/DLo from Raw in August 98. When Shamrock attacked Owen and DLo subbed in, it was a smooth transition and not just a replacement. -
HDTV is the best thing ever. I like watching the Baltimore Ravens in HD. Also, watch me half-assed combine two bad gimmicks here: Polkaroo is a bitch ass mother fucker who stole my rock. Fuckin nigger Polkaroo. Polka.

8%? That's it? Conversely, now my least favourite posters: Milky, Czech, Dr. Venk, Slayer, and whomever Milky beat in the poster finals last year.

That is pretty awesome.

You sure about that one? No, my bad. I remember it being a big deal because he's a Bears fan. It was late when I typed it. Shut up. Double edit: Why couldn't you quote "furthermore"? Now I look indifferent to proper punctuation. Atari Bigby is my new favourite name in sports. Edit: Yes, Plaxico was mentioned.

Your favorite Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania booking?

I'll say least favourite is '08, just on the grounds that he didn't get his shot at Wrestlemania in a manner of speaking. That's the whole idea. '05 was pretty good. It was obvious Dave would turn, but it was done interestingly. I think my favourite is '94 though, just on being a Bret mark. -

Fuck that noise. I can essentially wear any item of clothing I own anywhere I go. Unless you mean what my brother calls "The Ikea Generation". Old-school golf attire like plaid and ridiculous colours? -
I really wish I hadn't learned that before Monkey Man and I played golf both days this weekend. We needlessly tiptoed out of that cart 36 times.

1:00 Games ATL @ CAR CLE @ CIN - Scored 51 against 'em last year. Fifty one! That's good enough for me. HOU @ JAC - Touched on this, but while I expect Houston to be better, Jacksonville should get it back to .500 DEN @ KC - It's not unfair to say Denver's defence is as bad as their offence is good. That won't matter here. This should be ugly. SF @ NO - This'll be close, but I like San Fran here. ARI @ NYJ - Maybe the toughest pick of the week. Just a gut feeling. GB @ TB - See above. MIN @ TEN - I'm astonished Minny beat Carolina last week. That won't carry over. 4:00 Games SD @ OAK BUF @ STL - Growing up near Buffalo and still living fairly close, I get a sense of Zetterberg's curbed optimism. Still, it's St. Louis. Buffalo wins by possibly 30. WAS @ DAL - Closer than expected, but Dallas. Night game PHI @ CHI - The rivalry probably isn't as intense as say, Flyers-Pens, but Philly's gotta be riding high after a win over Steeltown. They also scored 37 against the best team in the league. Furthermore, remember in Week 2 when I complained about only getting one game wrong on a six-figure ProLine? That happened to my Dad last year. The game he got wrong was Philly vs. Chicago. Philly won. That's an omen. MNF BAL @ PIT - Baltimore is probably slightly better than their who-they-beat list, but a sleeping giant in Pittsburgh should wake up here (a la San Diego last week).

1. Regardless of who wins the game, who is the worst team in Ohio and why? Despite the 'regardless' stipulation, Cincy. The Browns lost to a division leader and, for my money, the best team in football. Cincy, as eluded to earlier, is a circus. Directly involving the 'regardless' stipulation, Cleveland proves me right convincingly on Sunday. 2. Can Houston get anything going this season with the rest of their division riddled with injuries? It's tough to say. I mentioned this in my Week 3 picks, but I haven't quite got a gauge on Houston. Pittsburgh should be better (to the point that I didn't include it in my Browns assessment for fear of being redundant), to the point that even though I expected a better-than-.500 Houston this year, maybe Week One against Steeltown was a pretty strong indicator. This doesn't go for Indy or Jacksonville, but I'll go so far as to say the lineup changes in the rest of the division are a hinder to Houston (i.e, Kerry Collins playing like he's 21 years old). 3. Based on their play so far, do you think Atlanta will be dangerous this year? Surprising, yes. Dangerous? No. They beat two pretty bad teams in Detroit and KC. I expect them to be entertaining and fun to watch, but I don't know about dangerous, certainly not in their division. 4. Baltimore is 2-0 against teams with a combined 0-6 record. Will the Pittsburgh offense wake up and put the crapass Ravens in their place? Yes. See post two. Baltimore isn't divison-leader good, even in the NFC North. 5. How will the coaching situation in Oakland affect their chances this week at home against the divisional favorite Chargers? It won't. While not playoff-calibre, the Raiders are a better team than last year, hands-down. I attribute that to better defence and not necessarily coaching (If my math is correct, they're on pace to be about four points better a game than last year). The players seem to like Kiffin, but I don't know how much that will affect a seemingly San Diego-of-old squad. What I do see, and this is a big if, effecting the Raiders chances against SD is the Chargers' Monday Nighter last week. I'm not selling a surprisingly competitive team short, but if an extra day's rest is probably the best building block you have, you need options.

Oh fuck you. I grew up with video game music, for better or worse, and I was clearly impressed enough with what was being done to pick up a trumpet at age 8 and really cultivate a passion for music. I don't need some dopey-ass hoser passing judgment on me and the rest of us for talking about music from our resp. childhoods. Who the fuck are you? You purport to love some universally reviled shitty-ass '90s alternative album with some Mexican guy's semen on the cover. How are you in a position to chide any of us for anything, within or beyond the realm of music? If I even had any self-worth, it sure as hell wouldn't have just been crushed by this damning indictment from the erstwhile "redbaron51." Boy, I hope your sig banner doesn't kick my ass, you fucking fag. Fuck you. I AM THE CZECH REPUBLIC~! Ever see Captain Planet on Robot Chicken? That's the best way to imagine Dan saying it. -
My favourite posters here are, in this order, Deon, VanHalen, Mike (in any incarnation), Leena, and Marvin. I typed it as BanHalen first.

I've seen this pop up in two threads now. I'm also a little jealous of Barron. By no means do I want any responsibility, but it does sound like a cool title. Like a B-Movie action hero.

Baron's on his own here. Sorry, Scuba. -
I agree with Baron and Cheech. As awesome as Bose sound, I think a surround sound system with an amplified antennae would better solve your problem. Even if you heed this advice, have a listen to a Bose if you have the opportunity (even if you don't buy one). Realistically, a set of speakers with an amplified am/fm tuner would be cheaper than a Bose.
