I was a really picky eater as a kid, but I've come around to a lot of them. I still won't go anywhere near liver, brussel sprouts, asparagus, cabbage, and most seafood.

And Pittsburgh will be last in two years time. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it. If they sign Hossa, Malone and probably Staal are gone and it would give them a modified Tampa Bay style of having three highly paid players (Lecavalier, Richards, St. Louis v. Crosby, Malkin, Hossa). The only difference would be if Pittsburgh signs Fleury. That's what made Tampa struggle; Tampa never had the quality goaltending. Really? I certainly never thought of Khabibulin as a superstar, but he always seemed like a solid #1 to me. I remember saying earlier in this season that if it were 2003, Chicago might have the league's best 1-2 punch in net.

I was gonna ask about that, actually. Who is Peter DeBoer? And I thought the same thing: Hartsburg's junior and world success supereceded his so-so NHL record.
-
Yep. Gert's pick was his eleventh.

It's going to be awfully weird to see any sport that's not hockey covered by the CBC without Brian Williams there.

I still can't sit and watch a game, but I've really enjoyed following this tourney.

That's a working man's way to force a playoff. Even with the out-of-character way to make his birdie, was anyone surprised when the putt dropped?

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Yesterday at the bar, the broad I hit on who looked like The Chief from Carmen Sandiego. I had to. She looked like The Chief! -
Why was she on a phone while also blaring music?

Bacon > Sausage patties. I have to be in a mood for breakfast sausage, and even then, it's third. Italian sausage (even turkey, for which I've recently found an affinity as well) is a wrench in the machine of this post, though.

This is really been all over the place, hasn't it?

I've got a list of six, but I threw it to the wind with my Schnieder pick.

Possibly, but extremely debatable.

Shots 3, 4,5,6 all came back down the front. That was terrible to watch. So, my roomie gets home and asks me what's goin on with the golf. I say "Rocco had the lead after nine. Tiger went out in +2. Tiger's not out of it, but he's never won without a 54-hole lead." Sure enough, I open up Internet Explorer to check the scores, and get a huge pic of a Tiger fist pump. That's insane. Two eagles through an entire US Open is a hell of a stat, let alone in the span of 150 minutes. I don't have two eagles in my life. Worst of all, it negates Weir's solid -2, leaving him six back at +3. If the leader had been -1 or 2, I'd say Weir had a shot.....Tiger variable is up in the air. I'm digging the idea of primetime, tomorrow, even if it does mean six hours of Johnny Miller.

No pm? Nonetheless, my "guys I don't really like" theme continues: Edit: Fuck it. Pic was not meant to be. Mathieu Schneider.

1-1/2. Four-year stint with WalMart, interrupted by the place that shall not be named, then a return to Walmart. I had an interview with Best Buy for handhelds in 2006, but it was only part time. My Best Buy interview in March was a disaster. I haven't really switched 'within the industry', but I went from two jobs (full time at a paper, part time at Walmart) in the span of three years to five jobs in six months. I didn't take it as a slam, but it's been a mess.

Oh. Still, it worked in this context. Good times. -

Really? Or is that a fantastic coincedence? -
I was looking at a Vizio, but what had really attracted me to the Sanyo was the 5ms response time and the three HDMI ins. On the other hand, I've got an interview with Future Shop next week; who knows? Staff discount is more than likely going to play a considerable role.

I like Appelby too, and I think he's one of these fringe guys that's won enough regular events that he shouldn't crumble coming home. Thirty coming in? Fuck, that's impressive.

Fuck you. This. And though it's right to blame me for letting things get outta order, I've been on a bender, and picked (rightly), after Angle. The day-and-a-half server maintence was a cancer on this draft. Edit: I was plastered when I picked Stevens. Not that it impacted my selection, but I interpreted Angle's "Wrong Thread" as his selection. (What happened there, anyway?). So, yeah, I'm entirely at fault. My first round opponent will receive a one-game lead in our playoff series. I'll look into whatifsports tomorrow and toss some ideas around as to get a fantasy tourney going. Double edit: We're updated. I'd like to see a 'pm the next draftor' system in place.

71,72,73 for Mick, Tiger, and Scott in the Big Three. All of them aren't too far behind at E, +1, +2. Dustin Hicks plays the Nationwide Tour. Who the hell is Kevin Streelman?

I agree. Crust = pie. Use of the the term "pizza pie" proves this.

Critically overlooked to the Penguins early 90's success. Derailed by off-ice coke addiction, but one of the best players of the early 90's.
