Is lucky. Being an uncle is a good racket. Edit: Could be lucky. Got any nephews/nieces, Milky? I spliced about 3 posts together. -
We're too hot for TSM, and I said 95.

My instinct for centre field was Ken Griffey as well; Just imagine if he had been healthy - I think I was too young to appreciate just how much talent he actually had. For Cena's question, Albert Belle was the first that came into my head, but there's surely players I hate more; I hate Bobby Clarke as an exec more than a player (though he's hardly off the hook as a player). Jeter's one of those guys I dislike but don't know why; Give us all a few days with this one. Finally, the hockey one: Bad for the sport, but for different reasons than already listed. There's a difference between, and I don't mean this as to be condescending to the person who asked it, between punishment for fighting and punishment for say, a Steve Downie or Marty McSorley - I think those get lumped together a little too often. A third-period hockey fight has an appeal, a finalization, and a little bad blood to follow up for the next game. An absence of, or a call to end fighting is naive, especially in a physical, intense, proud sport like hockey. We'll see a rise in Todd Bertuzzi incidents if fighting is discouraged. -
Pepperettes are my favourite snack, ever, ever, ever!

In the span of an hour, I went from probably my two or three favourite wrestling moments ever, to the exact opposite. Even having it kinda told to me at 1am the night before, I still got to see the Tuesday replay and loved every second of the first, oh, hour and ten minutes of the first Raw I'd seen in about two years, and really, the first wrestling I'd watched since ECW folded. Then Steph came out. I did not watch next week. However, to answer the topic question, I did get to see some of Raw on television at a casino, the day after my 19th birthday; I saw the main event: Eric Bischoff vs. Shane McMahon. That pissed me off: A veritable dream roster features two suits in the main event.

Bang on. I'd go so far to say that it's foolproof. I just don't see it happening.
-
Obviously, it won't be an issue. It just seems to me they would cover all their bases beforehand, which is what I was stressing.
-
Venk, however, trumps me. I'd kind of just assumed that there was indeed an announcement.

Is there any type of restriction on this Last Chance EC next month? I mean, from a kayfabe standpoint, what if the final seven in the ring are all from Smackdown, or what happens if HHH wins the Rumble and Umaga wins the EC?

I did. Went in a circle 12 times. Bottom, left, top, right. Rope a dope, indeed.

One's a lock at Torrey Pines in June. Is Oakland Hills, site of the PGA in August, where the Buick used to be played? If it's the same course in Michigan, my answer is two. If it's not, who knows? Mickelson has the potential to be very, very, good this year if he's healthy, Els sounds pretty serious about getting his game back to an elite level, Singh and Goosen are due again, Choi and Stricker have both kinda made the leap into the upper tier. I'll bet my house he wins at Torrey Pines in June. -

This pretty well trumps anything else. God help us, they were really, really, really, really big! The greatest NHL game ever played is still to me, Game 6 and/or 7 of the Flames-Canucks in 2004, when Calgary went to the finals. The Flames chipping away at a four-goal deficit to only lose by one late to force game 7? Some crazy fan throwing his jacket on the ice, interupting an empty-net goal, and incredibly, allowing for a 6-on-5 tying goal? Nothing else. Couple that with my early job start time back then, Philly Mick's Masters win, and a bajillion overtime periods = five hours of sleep for me in two days. Worth it. -
Milky King Czech Lush No explanations - all were very, very close.

Anyone figure out the Springboard achievement. I hit 48 consecutive springboard hurricuranahs with Mysterio and didn't get it,

I actually thought this as well; in fact, I was so worried about it, my brother and I were playing with a Ouija board and I asked it if there was anyway Bret could win at Ground Zero. -

I've often compared Phil Mickelson's 2004 Masters win to title win at Wrestlemania 20, or the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series that year. I'd say any of those are applicable, especially the latter. My question: I'll never look down my nose at any fan of it, but aren't UFC and MMA pretty barbaric? It's not technically a question, but talk me out of that; -
HockeyDB is mildly informative and not particularly well laid out. I look forward to this as well.

Role player, easily. I can name some scrubs from the Habs when they last won, the Jays when they last won. I can certainly name some key players on those team who weren't necessarily stars. Mike Gartner is sixth all-time in goal scoring in the NHL, and he was fifth when he retired. He's likely going to be remembered more for never winning a Cup - should that be? And that's from a fan standpoint - if I'm entirely empathizing with the question, then it's certainly role player. If I can have a fairly successful career, reach the ultimate goal of any athlete (that last phrase should answer your question), and still maintain my privacy by and large, isn't that the perfect balance? What can we expect from the upcoming Beijing Olympics from a social aspect? -

Pretty much the same way it did except there would have been far fewer Wizards games on national TV. What stadium will be the last one not to have a corporate name? I mean, we're down to a very few at this point (Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, and Cleveland Brown Stadium, plus a select few I know I'm missing), and with Fenway and Yankee Stadium aging, it's only a matter of time before those teams have no choice but to have new stadiums. My first thought would be to say Yankee Stadium, just on the grounds of how much money the organization has. But with such young owners at the helm, who knows? I'll go with Fenway. As for the hype question - I personally think The Masters, but you've gotta really like golf to appreciate it. Thus, I agree with BL on March Madness on the whole. 63 games in 13 days and lots of gambling, lots of upsets - that's an atmosphere that anyone can get into. The NHL question is fairly loaded: If it's an American city, I'll say Vegas, but given the Ric Tocchet situation, that's a gamble, pun obviously intended, for a league trying to find its niche as far as marketing and public image. After that, I don't really think there's a city in the States that should be given a second chance - it's not working in Atlanta, and Kansas City didn't fail because of poor ownership the first time. (Colorado is an exception). Shitty ownership, did, however, ruin the Cleveland Barons/California Seals, but with, to some degree, the recent good play of the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers, a hockey team is overcrowding a successful market. So, and this should be obvious anyway, move it to a Canadian city (it's certainly more feasible with the exchange at the rate it's been the last 5 years). My first instinct is Winnipeg, with all the clamouring for a team there again, it makes sense. The destruction of the Winnipeg Arena puts a question around it; What does MTS hold? 15 or 15,5? That's pushing it, even with a hard cap. Quebec could probably support another team, but the French CBC no longer has La Soiree du Hockey, and RDS has a significant deal with the Habs, where do they get TV money from? Halifax has shown tremendous support for the IIHF events that show up there, but it's not a particularly rich section of Canada, as has been brought up in the NHL thread. So - the Hammer. The AHL/NHL thing won't conflict (i.e. fans will save money and go to the cheaper product), as we've seen in Toronto and Philly. Under no circumstance will the Maple Leafs ever need to worry about money, and given the success of the TigerCats every Labour Day against the Argos, a pre-made rivalry already gets Hamilton's team going. Buffalo could be a problem, but there's no reason to think that the 90-minute drive would detract fans from crossing the border - so that's eight of 41 games sold-out already in Buffalo. By the way, I went through this process without factoring in the Balsillie thing and the 10,000 deposits made.
