Since Mike Weir's victory in the Fry's Electronics Open was now more than two months ago, it's time for a new avatar - he doesn't have the luxury of timeless appeal the way "Yeah-uh" does. So, I'm now taking suggestions for a replacement, to be revealed January 1! (Or sometime around there). Since Slayer's invariably going to suggest David Cross, I'll get the ball rolling: Edit: Is he dating Sarah Silverman? I may have to rethink things.

One Game You Wish You Could Have Seen
CanadianGuitarist replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in Sports
I'm going to assume the 'live' eliminates the 1987 Canada Cup final, as I would have been 3. It was, however, in my home town. I'll give the nod to Sunday at the 2003 or 2004 Masters tournament. 2003 because of patriotic reasons, 2004 because Mickelson's first major was remniscent of the BoSox winning the World Series six months later, or Chris Benoit's title win two weeks prior (though that one's been swept under the rug). Augusta really is a sort of mecca of golf..it's kind of tough to explain if you're not into golf. Even though Weir's Masters win is a notch higher on my all-time list, had the Canadian hockey teams won double gold on native soil in 2002, that would have been my answer. Edit: I just re-read Al's first statement, but I'm still gonna go with my Masters statements. -

I use commas a lot as well. -

Since I didn't see a CWDWAT in Tv/Movies: I love my job at Wal*Mart. I also love the bulk of our customers, despite my bitching in the occasional retail thread that pops up. However, I do not, have not, nor will I ever, follow home, a customer in disbelief about the bargains they've just encountered. -

It was going to be one of my poll options, along with my current one, Marty Janetty, 80's guy, and Yeah-uh newscaster. -
I meant which cities the following were in. The websites of TSN and the IIHF were of no help. Are the Flames ever going to lose a game? Since December 7, they've lost twice. Twice!

You beat me to it in the Old School questions. -
Where are they? They mentioned them during the finals yesterday, but no actual venues were named....not that I didn't believe you.

Why didn't he, outside of the Rumble elimination thing? I think the biggest reason was that he sucked. Since when has that stopped a monster heel push? He had a great imposing look and a great mouthpiece in Cyrus as well. Point taken, though. -

I hated the underwated stage, simply because it was really out of place, wasn't it?

By the way, Mike Weir's leading this week's tournament. This entire thing could have been a complete waste. -

Since I can't figure out how to add a poll (if it can be done whatsoever), LaParka is your winner! Credit included in my signature until the avatar changes, forseeably when the Masters tournament begins the second week of April. My search for this picture included what could have been a perfect filler avatar: An Old West "Wanted" poster with a question mark in the centre. Next time. -

You might have redemption waiting if the 'of course' comes true. Three of the next four are in Canada, and the one that isn't is in the States somewhere.

I was a 10-year-old mark when I said it, but I once said Aldo Montoya and Duke Droese were going to beat Jeff Jarrett in consecutive weeks on Superstars to win the IC title. -
Foreman? I got nothin to do anyway. Edit: What if MikeSC comes back or something? I probably shouldn't be the foreman. Or on at all. Fuck it.

Is there a list available of which studios are behind which formats? Aren't there a few using both? Off the top of my head, Disney/Columbia Tristar are behind BluRay.....I'm beginning to rethink saving up for the 360 HD DVD add on. My biggest concern in all of this was that I already had the 360 universal remote, and this way I could have the same amount of remotes and not have to build another shelf for a new unit.

Everyone has a 'shame lay' in their past, especially if done while drunk.

It's number 8 on my all-time top 10 that you asked me in college, which I think I started a thread here for. And speaking of golf, it's contributing to what is going to be, for me, one of the best sports weekends in recent memory. NFL Playoffs, start of the PGA Tour season, World Juniors, Habs play in the afternoon, and I have an unheard-of whole weekend off.

I just saw that today! They never even show a chocolate bar once! Terrible. The Holiday Inn guy might make an appearance in the poll, and Baron may have just taken the lead. -
I feel your pain on that. The apartment I lived in prior to my current place had a couple who argued daily. It was funny the first few days, but every day? It wasn't entertaining after that.

I'd forgot about Jeff in May 97 against RVD, which I'm currently watching on 24/7. I also remember them as jobbers against the Truth Commission on Shotgun around the time of the Montreal screwjob. They stole the show, and I even recall a Hardy chant for two jobbers.

Sucked. - Parade of jobs after being at my prior full time job for close to two years, and part-time at WalMart for four (they took me back without a second thought however). - The above made it difficult to obtain two of my 2007 goals: get out of debt, and get better at golf. - A barrage of family problems with my brother and his son that would make Jerry Springer blush. That's basically it, outside of the Benoit thing, which I'm not losing sleep over, but still am in shock by.

Including me. My team is almost the same as last year's. Did I send you a drunken private message about Errie Ball? He's gotta be getting close. Jake Roberts, even though he's wrestling's Keith Richards, just has to die one of these days as well. I know I completely contradicted myself, but come on.
