Comments that don't warrant a thread.

Is there a definitive way of finding out which format of blank disc I need for burning? Mine, for example, is imprinted on the disc tray, but I get a lot of customers who aren't sure which to use, and I'm sure not every tray has it written.

He makes 7.15 million this year. His cap number is 5.75 million. So can we call him the most overpaid player in the league, now that Yashin's gone? The Habs had no business losing last night, and I only saw the third period. They outplayed them in the first two as well, I guess?

The OT winner into his own net wouldn't have pissed me off so much HAD HE NOT NEARLY DONE IT FIFTEEN MINUTES EARLIER! Does he actually make 7.15 million a year? A Leafs fan I know insisted this, although I thought it was mid-high 5.

    Wrestling books

Any further news on the Jericho and Hart books? I actually came here today looking for a review of Heenan's books, but I really wanna get Jericho/Hart now. I thought I saw someone quote Jericho's book on YouTube today, but, you know, it's YouTube.

And they're now behind only Ottawa in the Northeast. Yes, I realise how early it is and all that. Also interesting early, (and speaking of the Sens), Jason Spezza leads the league in points with 11. All of them are assists.

    WWE 24/7 October Discussion

I think this week... maybe next. The next episode, which should air late this month, is when he brings Bulldog and Owen into the fold. Seen it a million times on YouTube. Holds a sentimentality to it due to a moment in my personal life (don't ask). Thanks for answering, I'm probably going over there tomorrow, but just making sure the ducks were all in a row.

Approaching the 10th anniversary of the...

I'd always been of the school of thought that neither side was right, but Bret was less wrong. It's sad we'll probably never know the whole story from both sides.

    WWE 24/7 October Discussion

Sorry to not contribute, but I've been meaning to get to a buddy's to watch Bret's heel turn on the Monday Night Wars (something I've longed for since my tape of it was erased in April 97). When will it be taken down? Edit: I have to see Repo Man steal, then Monsoon and Heenan's reaction.

There's no way he's still in Ottawa by the end of the year. God help us all, he has deep-playoff experience (from a resume standpoint). Eight fucking one in Hogtown?

    kkk Bowl: Week 6

Cincinnati @ Kansas City (3.5) Houston @ Jacksonville (6.5) Miami @ Cleveland (4.5) Minnesota @ Chicago (5.5) (3.5) Philadelphia @ N.Y. Jets St. Louis @ Baltimore (9.5) Tennessee @ Tampa Bay (2.5) Washington @ Green Bay (3.5) Carolina @ Arizona (4.5) (6.5) New England @ Dallas They're losing on this little rest, but even coming off Monday, they're not losing by seven. Oakland @ San Diego (9.5) Their record is a hiccup, but I'm loving my Raiders' record, and I'm gonna run with it. New Orleans @ Seattle (6.5) Much better than last week. (3.5) N.Y. Giants @ Atlanta St. Louis scores 12. Good luck, all.

I was telling everyone alive that Montreal was going to win last night. Not so much because of Price, but given the omen that some Roy guy started his first game 22 years ago to the day, also against the Pens. And as CC started on, he was indeed not the only goalie to win his debut last night. Brian Elliot was also a winner for the Sens.

    HDTV

Before we get too deep, did you have a specific type of TV in mind? CRT or flat panel? Those can both have there pros and cons for gaming as well. Things to consider: Contrast ratio It's a little more complex than the explanation I'll give, but the number on the left half of the ratio means how many colours can be reproduced accurately. It's typically going to be lower on LCD, usually in the neighbourhood of 1500 or 2000:1, although Samsung's LNT series has offered as high as 15000:1, which is unreal for LCD, and would even be pretty good for a plasma. Inputs To be played in HD, you'll need at least component cables connected. A better option is HDMI. Component is a red, green, and blue for video and red and white for audio. It's the minimum standard for HD. HDMI is of better quality (although I didn't honestly notice much change on my TV, outside of a little stability on, say, on-screen text) and it's also a much cleaner connection, with one 30-pin cable as opposed to five. I don't honestly know what the PS3 offers as far as connections, but those are what you'll need for HD. I once told a customer I could tell them the specs on every TV we sold all day, but it ultimately came down to which they thought looked the best and best fit their budget. I'd say (after answering my first question) to pick out a few that you like, in a few different stores, and mull it over.

I think subconsiously, we both kinda knew, or at least had some idea, and were sour grapes about the Habs blowing a two-goal lead.

Examples of a Wrestler TRULY Being Put Over

If it were anyone but HHH, I'd say yes. It's tough to imagine Orton not getting squashed by him by Wrestlemania, though.

Today marks 10 years of Kane and Hell In The Cell

It was a forgettable match, as said earlier, because the match never even started. I'd go so far as to call it one of my two or three favourite Raws ever. Here you go

I don't wanna sound like a front-runner or anything, but why do they suck? They're not a bad (but not a great) team on paper. Last night can't be considered all surprising, Anaheim's had a rough schedule this week. Four in seven isn't a light week, and that's not counting two games in England. I'm sure they've adjusted for the most part, but still.

Most Important/Influential Matches of All Time

I do see the other side of this debate as well, but this put Wrestlemania on the map. Hogan's slam and subsequent win gave it an 'oomph', and to this day, there's unquestionably an aura to Wrestlemania that doesn't exist at other shows, and much of that can be attributed to the main event.

Most Important/Influential Matches of All Time

I don't know if this really counts, but I'd consider Austin/Rock as the end of the Attitude era. An exclamation point if you will. I'm astonished Hulk-Andre hasn't been mentioned.

Uh, Phoenix won last night. I know. I picked St. Louis. Phoenix are motherfuckers for beating St. Louis. Edit: I'm a dumbass. Just noticed what I initially typed. I swear to God, I'm getting a proofreader for my time here.

Motherfucking Phoenix. They were the only game that didn't come through out of 12 on my Pro*line. Had I picked St. Louis? $6,139. Anyway, Crosby and Ovechkin both start their seasons on the road tonight.
