    Happy St. Patrick's Day

I enjoy putting beer in my mouth. This is true 364 other days of the year as well.

Heel Characters That You Agreed With?

2nd. Brilliant promo. Everything was 100% true. Wish Heyman was still cutting promos. Yes. Realistically, Heyman's moved on if he had Vince's name on his paycheques, but I guarantee there was more than a little heart to those promos.

2009 Worst Poster Tournament: Round 1

I don't have a problem with anyone at TSM. Sure, head-to-head, posters can be lesser than another, but I don't actively dislike anyone, let alone to the point I want them gone. With that, who the hell nominated NoCalMike? Good guy all-around, and I've never seen him do anything iffy, board-wise.

    Boardloaf

Did my bagel bitching ever migrate into it's own thread? If so, please move this: I'm really enjoying bagels lately. I still won't touch anything with an adjective of 'grain', and I stand by my birdseed assessment where it applies. But plain, toasted with butter or cream cheese is a perfect mid-day snack, and while I don't get why Czech used it as an insult, cinammon raisin with grape jelly is a phenomenal treat.

    Moments So Contrived

I feel a little badly using DLo as my first example out of possibly hundreds that apply. To rectify this (especially on the grounds of 'product promotion' as an example), DLo hitting someone with a phone backstage and screaming "Save a bundle by using 1-800-Collect, fool!" was all kinds of awesome.

Heel Characters That You Agreed With?

As a 13-year-old mark, I agreed with Bret all over the place. As a 24-year-old, the above quote makes sense, but I still agree with Bret's reasoning for turning heel - kayfabe, he really had been screwed all over the place by Michaels and Austin from his return in '96 up to his heel turn, and nothing ever really was done about it. I'm inclined to agree with him on the mixture of shoot he worked into his promos re: HBK, but that's a fairly grey area, all things considered.

    The Old School questions thread

When did Flash Funk become Too Cold in the WWE? I remember Terry Funk looking for a partner (with a pretty good promo) which Flash answered, dressed and introduced as Scorpio. Was that it? If so, was there any kind of build, or any reason given for Terry looking for a tag partner(Outlaw/Foley related, perhaps?) If I'm not mistaken, this was the Raw which was to have Austin and McMahon fight. As I recall, Funk/Scorpio beat the Quebecers on Raw, the Headbangers on Raw, wrestled a few singles matches against various opponents without a partner in their corner, fought in the Tag Royal Rumble two weeks prior to King of the Ring, then dissolved into the Faarooq/Bradshaw question above.

    All the Admins are gone?

EMILY LITELLA! I remember during a called-off penalty this past NFL season, one of the announcers said "Well, that's different, nevermind", after which, he thought for about three seconds and said "that's the Roseanne Roseanadana penalty" I knew that wasn't the characters name, but I couldn't put my finger on what her name actually was. Awesome. I was drunk when I posted my quote from yesterday, but even sober now, I didn't realise how big that Paula Cole song was.

The Agent of Oblivion question of the day

Like most of you, I went a few times as a kid, thought 'meh', and never gained an interest. If I'm going to be doing something outdoors for a four or five hours, it'll be golf, where I have a variety of different challeneges, shots, and way of playing those shots. I don't get that vibe from fishing. I used to love swimming, and though I haven't been since 2007, that's the only thing I'm likely to do involving water. Furthermore, I don't get the argument "Well, you can sit around, do nothing, and get drunk!" Nonsense, that's any day off now - I don't want to get up early to do so.

    NHL Discussion

Bob, did you see the Avs-Canucks? What kind of a game was it? I stopped at bar for a quick one after work, and Sportscentre listed the shots through forty as five for Colorado, nine for Vancouver. After two periods? The hell?

My signature was also reset. Bastards. Updating a team's win-loss record is more work than you might think.

    All the Admins are gone?

I thought I was the only person ever who knew this song. Like, EVER! I was gonna say: Why is Czech* an guest? *I noticed this in the Test thread. It's asterisked because I don't see Czech going into the WWE folder.

The Devils beat the Habs for the 550th straight meeting. Martin Brodeur tied some record in doing so.

I agree with PauLeena, and it's pretty unheard of for me to defend HBK.

WrestleMania Roundtable Part Three: The Middle Years

    * My intial argument for XI was going to be (although it looks like most of you agreed with me to some extent): "Not necessarily bad, but not a Wrestlemania-feel either." * I'm a little surprised with how little respect Bret-Michaels got, and while I disagree, the cases differing from mine are pretty laid out. * I can't offer anything about XIII that hasn't already been said. Bret-Austin is probably my favourite match ever, the Street Fight was decent, everything else was forgettable. * XIV may be my favourite WWE PPV of all time.

Hey, I just found an Eastern playoff spot for sale on Ebay. Evidently, no one wants it!

    Xbox 360

Visiting a buddy for a few days. Brought my 360, but only an HDMI cable along with it, no other AV cables of any kind with it. Problem is the TV isn't HDCP compliant. Advice?

    Hockey Awesome Poll Fun Poll

I don't like it either. I thought the deferred timeout was a great rule. I suppose, ultimately, TV's going to not let it slide, so Czech's point probably supersedes, but I do like the idea of the icing team not getting to rest or change lines. In principle, YES. In practise, it's going to lead to more fights, either spontaneous or planned. We can't have that, can we? Groan. While we're having our own TSM GM Meetings...am I the only one who hates the DoG penalty for puck into the stands?

    Sporcle Thread

I got 52 of the nicknames - golf was the only sport where I got each one right. After doing seven or eight trying to get one perfect, I'm here to post Masters Tournament winners - 63/72 Incredibly addictive, this site.
