Todd Zeile 5, Phillies 3....Mets sweep the series in Philly as the Todd Zeile shows takes out the Phils for the 2nd night in a row
Rematch with the Marlins next
-
Well considering the Mets have never had a perfect game, or even a no-hitter in the Mets 42 yr history means that someone on the Rockies will get a hit.
-
Mets win AGAIN in clutch fashion as Wigginton hits a 2 run shot in the bottom of the 8th put the mets up 5-4. Looper slams the door again in the 9th. 1 game below 500 for this crazy team
-
I just kept laughing at the wolf, gingerbread man, pigs , rats, and pinocchio. It was hilarious..Everything everyones talked about was VERY funny....the Bob Barker joke was also funny
-
GREAT NIGHT
At the same time Johnson takes the Braves out with a perfect game...the METS once again come back in their last at bat to win again 5-4 agains the CARDS. This is a clutch team and as long as they can play .500 ball, they can hang around until Reyes is healthy
SCREW the Braves!!

The Mets making an improbable comeback to within 3 games in 2001, but Armando Benitez gives up a HR to Brian Jordan. A few days later, Benitez gives up a GS to guess who? Brian Jordan. Thankfully they have Braden Looper now (the guy hasn't given up a run this year)Ah...don't even mention that....That also was after the Piazza 9/11 HR that brought everyone's hopes up for a Mets run at the division but Benetiz and Franco blew it. Brian Jordan is a MET Killer

The Michael Kay show here in NY is a good listen...Sometimes better then Fat Mike and little puppy...

I'm Happy...Mets are getting on track and if they can get Reyes back, they will be in good shape...that's a big if though....The pitching is soild and Ginter should be the 5th starter after his solid outing today against the NL 's top team. I hope they can get back to .500 and while they are not there yet, they still sit 3.5 out which is great considering all the injuries they had to go through. I'm hoping to go to the 1st game this year on Tues against the Cards. This team is getting me pumped and is giving me confidence in thier ability to not give up unlike some prior ass teams.
About piazza...one word: Wow.... this guy doesn't stop with his clutch hitting performances. This guy may be the greatest Met of all time. If not, he's definetely up there. From this to the 10-run brave game-to the 9/11 game, this guy is pure clutch and a fan favorite. No way you can trade this guy

Not a smart move by Jimmy Williams.....Who do you let beat you?...Piazza or Zeile....idiot...chooses Piazza and doesn't walk him and he hits a 2-run-shot in top of 9th with 1 on, 2 out 1-2 count to tie the game at 2 and RUIN Clemens start....LETS GO METS

Since when has Survivor turned into.......CRAP?????
This is getting ridculous

GOD DAMN.....What is Jenna thinking???

Good Game at Shea today....Mets blew a 3-1 lead in the 8th and the Brew Crew led 5-3 going to the bottom but once again pitchers are scared to throw to Piazza so he got walked and Wiggington singled home 2 runs when Jae Seo, a pitcher who was pitch running for Piazza did a wacky head-first slide just beating out the tag.
Turns out in the 11th that struggling Kaz Matsui gets the game winning double
Also to note: Dave Burba must have made the weirdest pitch I've ever seen. He like was about to throw the ball but tripped and it was called a balk which was key at the time because it moved the runner from 1/2 to 2/3 in the 8th so Ty could single them home.....
-
Great Pitcher's duel going on at Shea w/ Leiter vs. Schmidt....no hits for either team through 3
-
Wow...What a game!!! Flames just tied it in 20 seconds on a beautiful deke....This 2nd period is exactly how hockey should be played...back and forth, end to end , fast pace w/scoring and saves...Awesome
-
Well the whole theater seemed to enjoy the movie after. I heard nothing but praises. Just go into it with an open mind and you will be surprised. I can say that I enjoyed the movie completly
-
Just saw and and i don't give a rats ass what some critics said....This was a great movie...told a great story...like Risky Business but up to date. All I have to say is WOW. Elisha Cuthbert is stunning. I recommend this movie to everyone.

Indians/Twins great game in the 14th...Dumb play by Jones..great play by Hafner
Padres/Dodgers also tied
-
Now the Marlins will find out why Mets fans loathe Armando Benetiz. I can't wait for them to learn. Today was just a preview....
-
The Isles need Yashin, Parrish, and Czerchovski to turn up the scoring. I think that can be more of a problem.Tampa only scored 8 more goals then the Isles this yr. TB-3rd in EC w/245 and Isles 4th w/237

Aucoin is sooo underrated. The guy plays 25-30 min every night consistenly (Top 5 in minutes played) and he doesn't get tired. He has the hardest shot in the NHL and he's very smart. Great player all around and puts up steady numbers.
-
I just don't see how they're going to cover all of Tampa's forwards. Aucoin can do it, but he can only cover one at a time, and Tampa comes at you in waves.I can guarentee you that everytime St. Louis is on the ice, Peca will be right behind him. Peca has been playing his best hockey as of late and the whole team is starting to get hot. Aucoin has 9 goals in last 10 games, Hamerlik has been playing great as of late and Ninnima hasn't been dumb lately, Yash/Mariuz/Kvasha line is hot as well. The Isles will miss Blake b/c he kills Tampa with his speed.
If you look at the 4 games played during the regular season, St. Louis/Lecav have only scored 1 goal combined. Like people have been saying, if Ricky can get hot (he's been playing great in the last few games), the should win this series. Also the Isles own Bulin'

I just can't see the Flyers coming out of the East. They always choke and can't score or get bad goaltending down the stretch. It will prob be 30 yrs and counting. NJ is always dangerous but I don't think they are good enough this yr. Plus I hate the way they play. The trap pisses me off and ruins hockey so I want them to lose ASAP. I'm also glad that Minn isn't going to make it. I just had to sit recently through an Isles-Min game and its was horrible. i was almost literally put to sleep .. no flow and 1-2-2 is in full effect with minimal shots. Not how hockey is supposed to be played. The complte opposite was the Anaheim/Det game last nite. Great stuff, High scoring, Big saves. numerous chances... now thats how hockey is supposed to be played.
I really want Nash to make it b/c it woudl be good for hockey and especially that city b/c they've never had something like Playoff hockey before. Thier owner would also make some $ which is good and they would have a number of sell outs.
I also like Calgary b/c they are in the same situation that the Isles were in a few yrs back. They haven't made the playoffs in 6 yrs like the Isles did and that city is desperate for some april hockey. Also they haven't won a a SERIES since they won the cup in 89. So they are due for something.

He prob should have gotten more. That was nasty as was Messier's but Belak was lucky he was wearing a helmet.

5. Bos
6. MTL
7. NJ (In for a tough time against Philly)
8. NYI
West:
1. Det( Should be a good series with NSH)
2. Col (Key also is goaltending)
3. SJ
4. Van (This one is not too bad as well)
5. Dallas
6. Cal ( I think they could win this)
7. STL
8. NSH

Does anyone remember a show on Nick in the early 90's about high school teens but it was sort of like a soap opera? I don't remember the name of the show at all but I remember it was on in the mid afternoons on weekends or something like that. I just remember it was very dramatic.
