I think what he meant was that if you ever see DH Smith again, it might be in a TNA ring. It wouldn't shock me if he got released really. I don't think the dude would even get a look by WWE, if he wasn't the Bulldog's son.

Awesome! I've always wanted a movie that goes into these kinds of things.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Didn't WCW actually do TV tapings with Sid having the belt? Then once that whole scissors business happened, they had to scrap probably about 4 weeks worth of TV shows that were already filmed. I can only imagine someone who was in the crowd during those tapings only to watch the show the next week, and be like "Where's Sid? Isn't he the champion?" -
Mark Copani wasn't just a bad wrestler, he was an AWFUL wrestler. I've stated my thoughts on the Hassan gimmick on here before, so I won't go into that again, but if he was a good worker, I would have been able to just ignore the gimmick and enjoy his matches, but the guy was terrible, so that couldn't happen.

I've really been getting a kick out of the whole gangster gimmick for Bound For Glory. I remember when I saw the first ad on TV that showed Joe and Booker dressed up as gangsters, and I laughed really hard. That Angle interview was pretty interesting. I really thought his comment on gimmick matches was funny.

Hasn't WWE pretty much hit the reboot button with Kendrick as well? Ever since his push on Smackdown started, I haven't seen Paul London on TV, and they never mention his tag team with London either. WWE just does these things, because they think no one will notice or care, and it works.

Its kind of like how I have my definiton of "buried", like if someone loses a match that they probably shouldn't have, or were just made to look bad. I know the real definition of "buried" in wrestling, is when a booker decides to make a guy lose matches constantly to weaken his value, but I came up with my own definiton as well. I guess another way a guy is buried is either being put in a degrading storyline, or someone really badmouths someone on the mic.

Oh, ok. Because to me, it just seemed weird to have the main heel of a show taken off TV for a while just to sell a storyline.

I can't tell who is supposed to be who in that Four Horsemen drawing, and yeah, it really does look like that one guy is taking a leak. -
This movie sounds good, but then again Mickey Rourke is awesome.

I wonder if they have the chamber of horrors match?!

I don't really still care about the brand split, but why not just get rid of it? Its pointless to have draft lottery shows when guys just show up on other shows anyway. The biggest example of this was the Lashley/Vince feud that was on Raw every week despite Lashley being an ECW guy, and then they draft him to Raw, but, why should that be a big deal? The guy was on the show constantly. By the way, does anyone know what is up with Edge? I know in storyline he's supposed to be dead or in hell or something, but does he have a real life injury, and thats why he hasn't been on shows lately?

Jesus! I was only trying to be sarcastic. It was a bad joke, but still, lighten up!

Whenever I see Depp as Willy Wonka, I for some reason think of the Mad Hatter.
-
I think Depp could pull off a great Riddler. He can nail down characteristics such as a strange, odd, genius that the Riddler is.
-
How about Ludwig Borga? He was supposed to be a heel because he HATED pollution? WTF?
-
Nice to see that WWE is still ignoring the brand split again, with having Primo on Smackdown, but it really makes no sense for him to team with his brother, since in his only promo so far, he said he didn't like him. Also, why was Carlito off TV for so long?
-
Yeah, Jeff was made to look like a huge dumbass at the PPV. Other times when its hard to suspend your disbelief is when someone turns heel, and it doesn't make sense for why the person is evil, and you completely agree with them. Lets just say that Batista turns heel on Rey because Rey kept breaking up his pin-falls at Unforgiven, and the announcers will try to sell it like Batista is such an evil human being, even though his actions are rightly justified.
-
Yeah, about the only move in wrestling that is still a devastating finisher is probably the tombstone. I've seen it used as a regular spot, but it is mostly used as a finisher still. I guess the pedigree is as well. I don't really think the Orton punt stuff is really suspending our disbelief, as WWE makes it out to be "realistic". Suspend our disbelief is something like Undertaker or Kane. Well, maybe not Kane these days, but, who knows?
-
What the hell is it with you guys? I didn't say a punt to the head is weak in real life, in fact it would hurt like shit, but just seeing that passed off as a CAREER ENDING MOVE is just silly. See, this is wrestling we are talking about here, the same rules don't apply like in real life. For instance, a full nelson would hurt bad too, but you really think that should be a finisher in wrestling today? Oh, and MVP does a kick to the head spot in his matches that takes down his opponents for a minute or two, but the ref doesn't just stop the match or anything. And yeah, the punt to the head can't be passed off as always dangerous, since when RVD was on his way out of the company, he took the punt, and still beat Orton in the match.
-
Even though this is just casting rumors, it has possibility of happening. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next.
-
That would be pretty funny, and oddly enough, it doesn't even seem out of place in TNA either, considering how crazy and bizarre their shows are.
-
Good. That "kick of doom" shit is some of the worst stuff they've ever passed off as something dangerous. To a wrestling fan, a kick to the head doesn't mean anything, so therefore Punk looks weak by not at least trying to be in the match. And even though I throw the term "buried" around a lot, Punk will end up doing nothing out of this, as he will lose the feud to Orton, and then what, get a shot at Jericho? He'll lose that too. Punk isn't one of those guys that WWE takes the title off of, and then pushes after it.
-
But Bane wasn't annoying in Batman & Robin though. Tommy Lee Jone's Two-Face was just embarrassing. He's constantly laughing and saying dumb things.
-
I was thinking that same exact thing last night. Its also really hard to get used to Jericho wearing trunks, as it just looks bizarre.
