Comments that don't warrant a thread

What the hell is with that Unforgiven poster? And if its Batista's title he's going to be needing it back this Sunday! Your not the only one Lushus who thinks Kennedy isn't anything special on the mic. I too have never understood this guy's popularity. He isn't a good worker (due to many injuries), and he isn't good on the mic at all. Why do so many people want this guy pushed? A face Kennedy feuding with Edge? Ugh, that would have been awful. That would have killed Smackdown's business if they did that. Not to mention Kennedy right now is the worst babyface I've ever seen. I mean his act is so annoying, who would possibly cheer him?

    Punisher: War Zone

Why the fuck in the first Punisher did they have it take place in Tampa? I thought the movie was alright, but that always bothered me. That one part in the trailer posted above where he is hanging from the ceiling shooting people, reminds me a lot of Boondock Saints.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

I actually remember that silly Raw. It had the Undertaker's cross thing burning in the yard of the house, and Vince went home quickly, while the Undertaker showed up later in the night. The Ministry is some of the most crazed and fun stuff ever.

    WWE Raw (8/4/08)

No. JBL is awful. Kane would have been a great choice for the SS challenger, as Kane is entertaining on TV now with his weird bag, is a better worker than JBL, and there is some history between Kane and Punk on ECW. Its not like WWE gives a shit about their world titles on this PPV, so why not have Kane for the title shot? He can lose the match, then take out whatever is in the bag, and go insane even more. JBL offers nothing, and never should have came out of retirement. They already proved Punk can beat him, so why do it at a PPV? And Punk would have just beat JBL anyway regardless of the ringside fight.

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

A Magneto spin-off movie would be a hard sell, since the mainstream will think its weird that there is a movie of a villain. I think Sony is planning on doing a Venom spinoff movie, but I have no idea how they could do it, unless they ignore Spider-Man 3.

    Punisher: War Zone

From what I heard, this movie sounds like a disaster during its production. Thomas Jane was planning on doing it for years, then backed out, the director of the movie got fired not too long ago, and the movie has had a ton of pushbacks for its release date. This doesn't sound like its going to go to well.

    The Dark Knight

Batman & Robin actually has a better rating on RottenTomatoes.com. I think it is at 12% wheras this Mummy movie is at 09%. I will watch this Mummy movie when it comes out on DVD though, since this movie sounds hilarious. Yetis, 3 headed dragons, Brenden Frasier not looking much older than his son, and other stuff makes this movie sound funny to watch.

    The Dark Knight

Well, Batman & Robin didn't do awful business either, but look what happened to that supposed sequel Batman:Triumphant, it never got made, or you could say it became Batman Begins, but that is a reboot starting the franchise over.

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I don't want an X-Men 4, since I don't think it will be any better than X-Men 3, and I just don't think the series has momentum anymore because of that movie. I know they have the throwaway thing in the credits proving Prof. X is alive, and they tease that Magneto still has powers, but there just isn't any demand for another one. I'm much more interested in these Wolverine/Magneto spinoff movies rather than another X-Men movie.

    Friday The 13th (2009)

This F13 remake will probably end up the most satisfying of these remake movies since it needed one, because that series got way out of control and went off the deep end. The Halloween remake wasn't useless or anything, since I did like the character study of Myers for the first half, but once it becomes just a scene for scene remake of the original, then yeah, it gets bad. TCM remake was carried by R. Lee Ermy. He was the best thing about it. The NOES remake will be awful. I can't imagine anyone else as Freddy besides Robert Englund.

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I don't think there will be anymore X-Men movies. Too many characters died in the last one, Wolverine goes loner at the end, I guess Magneto becomes a normal human, and Storm is now the leader of the team. Who would want to see an X-Men 4 starring Halle Berry? Plus they now have spinoff movies like Wolverine, and I think a Magneto one is in development as well, since spinoffs usually mean that the series it came from is done.

    Impact Spoilers for 8/7

Yeah, TNA does have some very cheesy 2nd rate names for things. Like calling the women's division the knockouts division, having Frankie Kazarian just be Kaz, and a lot of the women's workers have very stripper sounding names.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

Yeah, I don't think that 2-minute cage match from 99 is embarrassing, since that seemed like an angle rather than a match. The 2-minute ladder match he booked a couple of years ago was embarrassing since it was an actual match that had a winner, and came off so blatantly rushed since they only had 1 hour.

    Impact Spoilers for 7/31

I'm mostly just indifferent on Sting in TNA. He shows up every once a while and main events, and I don't have a problem with it, mostly because he can still go in the ring. And splitting up the MCMG's is a terrible idea, since these guys are buried as it is, they will be even more buried as single wrestlers.

    WWE Raw (8/4/08)

Who knows what Jericho will do in the future. He might get a title shot at No Mercy for all I know, but yeah, JBL is terrible, and this stuff with him getting title shots needs to stop. It makes the main event scene look weak by the fact that he's ever a contender, and is a shitty worker, so the fans are never entertained by him. What did WWE not understand about his horrible title run in 04? There is a reason why JBL was most over with the crowd when he was a tag wrestler.

    Who needs a turn?

If they ever do plan on turning Cena heel, they need to come up with a backup plan. They would need to figure out who to make the face of the company then, and also be able to undo Cena's heel turn if it flopped bad. Austn's heel turn was a very dumb business move, since they had him join his archenemy McMahon, and teaming him with HHH, a guy he nearly killed at Survivor Series 2000, so no one could buy them being buddies all of a sudden. They had no backup plan for Austin's heel turn, and it flopped. I remember going to a Raw or Smackdown taping in April of 2001, and there were WAY less people than the last time I went to a WWF show in 2000. So Cena's heel turn wouldn't be a disaster if they find another top face, and don't team Cena with his nemesis (JBL?).

    WWE Raw (8/4/08)

I thought Raw was pretty good last night too, but damn it was weird. Why the fuck is JBL constantly involved in the title scene? I mean, he is the worst guy to ever have in major storylines since it only hurts his opponent's momentum when feuding with him, since beating him doesn't mean a damn thing, and they don't ever just job him either, and it makes his opponent look bad. This is why Jericho's comeback flopped and they needed to turn him heel, because that terrible JBL feud killed his momentum. I appreciate that WWE will give Punk a clean win over him at the PPV, but they shouldn't have done that match on a Raw last month, since he's already jobbed to Punk. And I don't think if you put Jericho against Punk at SS, that it would hurt Jericho's momentum by losing to him, since people know Michaels is going to end up winning that feud anyway (though, I would love if Jericho did).

    Rey Mysterio, where's he been?

I just can't see Rey doing shit on Raw. He just doesn't fit the show at all. To be honest, I don't even know if he fits Smackdown anymore really. Rey was very annoying the past couple of years on that show, and he kept getting injured and getting pushed when he came back, and then got injured again. I mean, there is only so much patience the fans can take. I was actually glad when Rey got drafted to Raw because he was stale as fuck on Smackdown.

    Who needs a turn?

I actually think though, that kids are just victoms of the hype machine. Its like, they think they will feel weird if they're not supposed to like Cena, so they buy into it, because WWE wants them too. Even though kids claim they don't like Edge, I know deep down, they probably find him entertaining. I did think it was funny on Raw last night after Cena and Batista won the tag titles, that they did the most blatant popularity contest ever. The Bret and Luger one at Royal Rumble 94 wasn't even this obvious.

    The Dark Knight

Trust me, that Mummy 4 movie ain't happening. Hell it took 7 years for this new one to be made, and no one cares, which I knew would happen. Its like the Talk of the Indiana Jones spinoff movie starring his son, that won't happen either, because who would care?

    Weekend Box Office Report

I too never saw Titanic in theaters. Never expressed the slightest interest in seeing it. I was a kid then, and the movie looked like a boring romance movie, so I wanted to avoid it.

    The Dark Knight

There were many great lines in this. I especially liked "From this height, the fall wouldn't kill me", "I'm counting on it". Thats one major thing that was missing in the previous 4 movies, no Batman interrogation scenes.

    Austin Powers 4 Planned

They really need to stop making those Scary Movie/Date Movie/Epic Movie/Superhero Movie stuff. Its just so pointless. The thing that is disturbing about those is that they seem to make a decent amount of money when they come out.

    Austin Powers 4 Planned

I'm glad that Cat in the Hat tanked. I haven't seen it, but Myers just looked really creepy and disturbing in that movie. To be honest, who in Hollywood actually has star power? As in, whatever movie it is, it makes a lot of money due to a person being in it. I think Will Smith definitely has star power, since everything he's in seems like it makes $200M or so. I would also say Johnny Depp, but he's also in a lot of arthouse movies, however anything mainstream that he's in does very well at the box office. People say Clooney has star power, but a lot of his movies don't really make that much money.

    Weekend Box Office Report

I have a feeling that Pineapple Express will only be watchable due to James Franco's weird performance. If he wasn't in this, I probably wouldn't even think about seeing it.
