Marvel is only planning the original Avengers line-up, so no, Wolverine won't be included

    The Dark Knight

I don't think Ledger's performance has overshadowed the film at all. Its not like the 89 Batman where the Joker was the only good part of the movie. Lots of people that have seen TDK love it, and not just because of Ledger's Joker.

AWA Wrestling back on the air

Thats what is sad about the AWA in 1990. They have guys that I like on these shows. I've always liked the Patriot, so its kind of interesting to see him on here as the Trooper. Those guys the Texas Hangmen seem like pretty cool heels, and in that battle Royal, there was some Chris Candido looking dude, that seemed like he was a pretty good heel too.

    Who needs a turn?

Because if you look at the great business they did during the Attitude era, they pushed a lot of guys who were over with everybody. Sure, Austin may not be the fan favorite to teenage girls, but I think they liked him pretty well. The Rock I think appealed to everyone: guys, girls, kids, and elders, so he was great for business and crossover appeal. Hell, my grandma loved Too Cool and Rikishi dancing! I don't think there is anyone on the roster that is pushed hard right now that is THAT good for business. I don't know why people say RVD wasn't good for business, besides the obvious weed thing. The dude was popular with pretty much everyone due to his flashy moves and ring attire, and I think he was underrated on the mic. If CM Punk ends up being booked right, he could end up appealing to everyone.

    Mike Adamle: The Thread

I really never had an opinion on the Repo Man gimmick. I kind of thought it was weird, but never really hurt anything. The Spirit Squad however, I thought sucked, and I am glad that I never have to see that again. I even liked a couple of workers of the group from their OVW days, like Kenny and Johnny, but I don't ever want to see them again after that horrible gimmick. So far, WWE management must agree with me, since I think there is only 1 member from that group still employed.

    Who needs a turn?

This man speaks the truth! I really find it embarrassing that some of the guys WWE pushes hard have only teenage girls in their fanbase. I mean, isn't wrestling supposed to kind of appeal to... you know, guys? And it makes the company look lame that they push guys like that. Kids don't only like good guys either, when I was a kid I liked plenty of heels, like the Rock when he was heel, Edge and Christian, Austin and Angle, the NWO, etc. Yes, I don't think turning Cena heel RIGHT NOW would be a good move at all. It wouldn't make any sense. I'm saying that WWE needs to plan ahead on when to do it though.

    WrestleMania 25

Well yeah, Orton was probably the worst guy to ever play face, besides Mr. Kennedy, but I think he still sucks as a heel. He's just boring, and does nothing for me. I know Cena will probably be in the Wrestlemania main event in some way, but it just comes off like WWE shilling him rather than being in it naturally, because Cena hasn't done anything this year to deserve being in the main event of Wrestlemania, and I doubt he will do anything the rest of the year. WWE needs to keep Punk on top, as he is something fresh and different. He may not be mega over right now, but I don't think the fans have a problem with it, as for once, they are given a champion who actually seems human. He's naturally good on the mic and doesn't come off forced, he's good in the ring, and he isn't pushed like Superman. I think he will get over because he seems realistic.

    WWE Smackdown (8/1/2008)

This Smackdown show was pretty fun. The best they've had in a while, and that promo at the end was awesome. I haven't really liked this new gimmick for Brian Kendrick though. I just don't think he's the right kind of guy for it. Still, its Brian Kendrick getting a push, so it can't be all bad. I really hated that they added "The" in his name though. It reminds me of that awful "The" Austin Starr gimmick in TNA.

    Friday The 13th (2009)

Jason Goes to Hell was a dumb move by New Line. They get the rights to Jason, yet the first movie they do is a movie that Jason is hardly even in, and has one of the dumbest plots ever. I mean, I didn't like Jason X by any means, but it at least followed the old school formula of Jason stalking people and killing them.

    Discussion: Possible DC Universe Movies

Agreed. I love that book. Wouldn't the animated adaptation be a series of episodes though? Because I think the story is too long for one movie. That story was very fast paced for a long book though.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

I don't know about that. I remember thinking those early Russo 1 hour 2006 shows being really bad. Those shows as a whole were probably worse than the ones that had that Jarrett/Hebner/Larry Z nonsense. Its like Russo tried to cram in a 2 hour show into 1 hour, and it was a mess. Everything was so lightning paced that it seemed like it was over before it begun.

    Discussion: Possible DC Universe Movies

I don't think The Dark Knight was an adaptation of The Long Halloween, but it certainly was influenced by it. The scene with Batman/Gordon/Dent talking on the rooftop was pretty much the same scene in the book. It even had Gordon say "He does that". Joker burning the money is also sort of similar to the one scene in the book where Batman and Dent sneak into a warehouse to burn up Carmine Falcone's stashed money.

AWA Wrestling back on the air

Oh my god. I watched this one AWA show from 1990 a few minutes ago, and it was the worst shit I've ever seen in my life. There was some awful Trooper vs. Mike Enos football match or something, which was the worst stuff ever. Thats like something that you see when you go to hell, and thats your punishment, to watch that.

    SmackDown Spoilers - August 1, 2008

Well, the HHH push in 03-05 wasn't good by any means, but HHH was pretty smart to put himself over people clean at times, to not look like a complete joke. And it was really sickening last year to hear Jim Ross on commentary say that "Orton is the greatest world champion of all time" with no irony. Whenever you hear announcers say that, thats code word for THIS GUY SUCKS. Yes, I know Orton is a heel, and isn't supposed to win matches clean, but they make the mistake for actually having him win clean in the wrong situations. They killed Cody Rhode's career out of the gate by jobbing him clean to Orton a bunch of times, and his career is now recovering from it. Jeff Hardy was the most over guy on the roster late last year, but they for some reason job him clean to Orton. I'm sorry, but thats just bad booking. And why do I still watch you ask? The reason everybody does, for the hope that it might get better someday, and it did after the draft show.

Why would Warner Bros. release the animated series again? The 4 volumes are already out. Is there anything different about it?

I found Goldmember to be better than the 2nd one. I don't know why, but I just thought it was funnier.

AWA Wrestling back on the air

I'm probably the only one looking forward to these AWA shows from 1990, so I can see how bad they are. I actually would rather see this stuff than the 86 and 88 shows, as I think these AWA shows are just boring. There may be good wrestling at times, but these shows mostly suck. The only thing thats good about some of these shows is seeing DDP as a heel manager, he was awesome in that role. Oh, I also enjoy seeing Dennis Stamp. Those shows from 87 are terrible, as it clearly shows the AWA had no roster then. The show from 1990 they showed was bad, but that was expected. I hope they keep showing those though, as I am curious to watch shows from promotions' last days, like WCW, just so I can see how bad they got.
  21. I too would love to see this, as I found a lot of those weird Nash skits from 99 and 2000 to be really funny. Come to think of it, I've always liked Nash, the guy is hilarious.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

I guess you could consider it that in some way, but what Daivari is saying doesn't seem like a racial thing like the Hassan stuff, and instead seems like its saying how poor and dirty America's streets are. I don't know why he has a different name now, since he was in the World X Cup as Daivari. Well, having all of these colorful and weird characters running around is what they get from hiring Russo, as he has always created weird characters for the wrestlers to try and get them over. Even in WCW.

    Impact Spoilers for 8/7

I completely agree with Nash. I would have had a fit too if I was a big star in the company, only to find out you get eliminated during the commercial break. I always hate that booking, as it clearly shows that a guy is buried and means nothing. Tomko getting released is really sad, since I think Tomko was the best part of TNA late last year and early this year, as he was the only guy in TNA who seemed like a normal person during that whole Angle Alliance/AJ Styles stuff, where they both tried to get him to join their team. His character really went downhill though, when TNA turned him heel, and had him join Angle's stable, after months of him refusing to join them.

    Impact Spoilers for 7/31

Wow, last night's Impact was a good show! Easily the best they've had in a long time. The superhero stable is gold! Sharkboy and Curryman are hilarious, and I think they finally found a way to make Super Eric funny. I didn't remember a bad part of the show. Really fun. And as for TNA in 2006, does it really shock anybody if they went out of business after that horrible angle? I mean, that stuff was as bad as the stuff WCW did in 99, though I don't remember the Impact episodes as a whole being that bad. The entire Nitro's from 99 were terrible.

    Who needs a turn?

Well, it has calmed down quite a bit the past 2 years, but I think people just got tired of doing it, since they knew it wouldn't do any good. But 2005? He was pretty much booed in every match he had after he got drafted to Raw.
